The rw_timeout option is currently not applied when opening media playlist, segment, or encryption key URLs. This can cause the HLS demuxer to block indefinitely, even when the rw_timeout option has been specified. Patches should be submitted to the ffmpeg-devel mailing list using
git format-patch or git send-email. Github pull requests should be
avoided because they are not part of our review process and will be ignored.
