refactor(ui): unify ActorAvatar size tiers + round all avatars & cropper (MUL-4277, MUL-4184) (#5133)
* refactor(ui): converge ActorAvatar size to semantic tiers (MUL-4277) Replace the free-form numeric `size` on ActorAvatar with a constrained `AvatarSize` union (xs/sm/md/lg/xl/2xl) so avatar dimensions are chosen by role instead of ad-hoc pixels. This eliminates the magic-number drift where the same role rendered at different sizes across pages. - Add `@multica/ui/lib/avatar-size` (AvatarSize union + AVATAR_SIZE_PX map + default tier). - Base `ActorAvatar` (packages/ui) and business `ActorAvatar`/`AgentStatusDot` (packages/views) now take `AvatarSize`; internal font/icon math and the presence-dot threshold read px from the map. - Migrate all web/desktop call sites (packages/ui + packages/views) from numeric sizes to tiers using the role table (12,14->xs 16,18,20->sm 22,24,28->md 30,32,34->lg 40,44->xl 56,64->2xl). - Token-ise the derived consumers `AgentAvatarStack` and `IssueAgentActivityIndicator` (px looked up internally for overlap/+N math). Out of scope (per plan): ui/avatar.tsx primitive, account-tab/AvatarPicker, mobile, and component-name disambiguation. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(ui): unify all avatars and the upload cropper to round (MUL-4277, MUL-4184) main's avatar-shape decision rendered non-human actors (agent, squad, system) and the workspace logo as rounded squares, and the upload cropper mirrored that with a square crop window. Per the updated decision (avatars_and_cropper_round_required), every avatar and the crop UI are now circular; the square path is removed rather than left as dead config. - Base ActorAvatar: always rounded-full (drop the isHuman/rounded-md split). - avatar-crop-dialog: remove the AvatarCropShape/square path; crop window is always cropShape="round". - avatar-upload-control: drop VARIANT_SHAPE; the control is always round and no longer threads a shape to the dialog (variant still drives the fallback). - Strip rounded-md/rounded-none square overrides from agent/squad/member ActorAvatar call sites; round the read-only agent/squad static wrappers. - WorkspaceAvatar: round the org logo so it matches the (now round) workspace upload/crop and the shared avatar shape. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(ui): make round avatar shape a hard invariant (MUL-4277) Close the two remaining square squad-avatar paths flagged in review and prevent call sites from re-squaring the avatar: - base ActorAvatar: keep `rounded-full` as the last class in cn() so a call-site `className` can no longer override the circle. - SquadHeaderAvatar: drop `className="rounded"` (was overriding the base circle into a small rounded square). - SquadsPage no-avatar fallback: route through the shared ActorAvatarBase (`isSquad size="lg"`) instead of a hand-written rounded-md tile, so the fallback matches the image path — one shape source of truth. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(views): round the agent/squad avatar loading skeletons (MUL-4277) The avatar placeholder skeletons on the agent/squad list, detail, and profile-card loading states were still rounded squares (rounded-md/lg) from the pre-round era, so the avatar visibly popped from square to circle on load — inconsistent with the round avatars and with the member/inbox/issue skeletons that already use rounded-full. Round all five: agents-page, agent-detail-page, squads-page, squad-detail-page, squad-profile-card. feat(views): unify avatar upload with crop editing (#5074)
* feat(views): unify avatar upload with crop editing across web/desktop Add a shared AvatarUploadControl + AvatarCropDialog used by the user, workspace, agent, and squad avatar entry points. Cropping (pan/zoom, fixed 1:1) and compression run client-side on canvas; the existing /api/upload-file + avatar_url chain is reused unchanged (no backend/API/DB changes). This collapses four hand-rolled upload buttons into one control and removes AvatarPicker. Also make the shared display avatar treat all non-human actors (agent, squad, system) as rounded squares — completing the "circles are for humans" convention the editors already assumed, so display and editors agree. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * feat(views): rebuild avatar cropper to the "Edit avatar" reference form Replace the hand-rolled canvas cropper with react-easy-crop to match the requested design: full-bleed image with a dimmed overlay outside a bright crop window, a rotate control, a zoom slider flanked by −/+, and a Reset / Cancel / Save footer. Round window for people, rounded-square for non-human actors; output stays a 512px square (webp, jpeg fallback) through the same upload/avatar_url chain. avatar-crop.ts keeps the encode pipeline and gains rotation-aware getCroppedAvatarBlob; the interactive geometry now lives in react-easy-crop. feat(chat): Chat V2 — first-class IM-style Chat tab (MUL-4171) (#5076)
* feat(chat): Chat V2 — first-class IM-style Chat tab (MUL-4171) Replace the floating chat FAB/window with a first-class Chat tab under Inbox, laid out as an IM-style two-pane surface (thread list + conversation). Highlights: - New Chat page (packages/views/chat/chat-page.tsx) with URL-addressable session selection; web + desktop routing wired up. Removes the old chat-fab / chat-window / resize-handles / context-items paths. - IM thread list: agent avatar + last-message preview + IM timestamp, red unread *count* badge (read-cursor model), presence-gated typing vs waiting. Rename lives only in the conversation header ⋯ menu (not the list hover). - Per-session conversation header (rename / view agent / delete), agent-aware empty state (avatar + name + description + starter prompts), and a deterministic clean-title derivation from the first message. - Server: read-cursor unread model (migration 145) and per-user pinned agents (migration 146, dedicated chat_pinned_agent table + handler/queries). New-agent welcome chat auto-enqueues a real agent run (LLM intro, no static template). - Design: fade the global --border token; borderless list headers on Chat/Inbox, kept (faded) on the conversation header. Verified: pnpm typecheck (all packages), go build ./..., go vet, gofmt. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * feat(chat): make new-agent welcome read as an agent-initiated intro (MUL-4230) The "meet your new agent" chat used to insert a fake user message ("👋 Hi! Please introduce yourself …") and have the agent reply to it, so the thread looked like the creator prompting the agent. Drop the persisted user message. Flag the auto-created session is_agent_intro (migration 147) and drive the intro run server-side: the daemon builds a proactive self-introduction prompt for such sessions (buildChatPrompt) instead of a "reply to their message" prompt. The intro stays LLM-generated; the thread now opens with the agent's own message, as if it reached out first. - migration 147: chat_session.is_agent_intro - CreateChatSession carries the flag; sendAgentWelcomeChat no longer persists/publishes a user message - daemon: ChatIntro threaded from session flag → intro prompt Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * feat(chat): Settings toggle for the floating chat window (MUL-4235) (#5080) * feat(chat): Settings toggle for the floating chat window (MUL-4235) Re-introduce the floating chat overlay on top of Chat V2 as an optional, Settings-gated surface instead of deleting it outright. - Settings → Preferences → Chat: a switch (floatingChatEnabled, persisted client preference, default ON) to show/hide the floating window. - FloatingChat wrapper owns the two gates: the preference, and the /chat route (hidden on the tab so the same activeSessionId isn't shown twice). - ChatFab + a compact ChatWindow that reuse the shared useChatController and conversation components, so activeSessionId stays in lockstep with the tab. - Restore use-chat-context-items so the overlay's @ surfaces the current issue/project (the 'current context' affordance) — the tab stays manual. - i18n (en/zh-Hans/ja/ko), store unit tests. typecheck: core/views/web/desktop green. tests: chat store 9, settings 82, chat 39 pass. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * feat(chat): dedicated Chat settings tab, floating window opt-in (MUL-4235) Address review: give Chat its own Settings tab instead of a section inside Preferences, and default the floating window OFF (opt-in). - New Settings → Chat tab (chat-tab.tsx) under My Account; moves the floating-window toggle out of the Preferences tab. - floatingChatEnabled now defaults OFF — only an explicit enable from the Chat tab mounts the FAB/overlay. - i18n: page.tabs.chat + a top-level chat block (en/zh-Hans/ja/ko); revert the Preferences chat section and its test mock; store tests updated for the opt-in default. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> --------- Co-authored-by: Lambda <lambda@multica.ai> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * refactor(chat): drop starter prompts from chat empty state (MUL-4237) (#5081) The three starter prompts (List my open tasks by priority / Summarize what I did today / Plan what to work on next) read as filler more than help, so remove them along with the now-unused returning_subtitle ("Try asking"). The empty state keeps its agent-aware header — avatar + "Chat with {name}" + optional description — and the composer stays the entry point. Locale keys dropped across en/zh-Hans/ja/ko (parity preserved). Based on the Chat V2 branch (parent MUL-4171, #5076), not main. Co-authored-by: Lambda <lambda@multica.ai> * feat(chat): pin a chat to the top of the Chat list (MUL-4240) (#5082) Builds on Chat V2 (#5076). Adds a per-conversation pin so a user can keep important chats at the top of the IM-style thread list, above the activity-sorted rest. Backend: - migration 148: chat_session.pinned_at (nullable) + partial index; the timestamp doubles as the pinned-group sort key and the boolean flag. - list queries order pinned-first, then by most-recent activity. - SetChatSessionPinned query + PATCH /api/chat/sessions/{id}/pin handler; pinning never bumps updated_at, so an unpinned chat won't jump the list. - ChatSessionResponse.pinned + chat:session_updated carries the new state. Frontend: - ChatSession.pinned; setChatSessionPinned API + useSetChatSessionPinned with optimistic re-sort; shared sortChatSessions comparator. - thread list: pin indicator on pinned rows + pin/unpin hover action; list sorted pinned-first so it stays ordered after cache patches. - realtime patch re-sorts on pin change; en/ja/ko/zh-Hans strings. Tests: SetChatSessionPinned handler test, sortChatSessions unit tests. * feat(chat): round send button, move file upload into a + menu (MUL-4250) (#5088) Co-authored-by: Lambda <lambda@multica.ai> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(inbox): match chat list selected-item style (inset padding + rounded) (#5093) Wrap the inbox list in p-1 and give each row rounded-md/px-3 so the selected bg-accent reads as an inset rounded card — same treatment the chat thread list already uses — instead of a full-bleed, sharp-cornered highlight. Content stays 16px-inset (p-1 + px-3 == old px-4). MUL-4253 Co-authored-by: Lambda <lambda@multica.ai> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(chat): rename + menu upload item to "Image or files" (MUL-4250) (#5092) Co-authored-by: Lambda <lambda@multica.ai> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(chat): stop welcome intro session repeating the same introduction (MUL-4259) The is_agent_intro flag on chat_session is persistent, so every follow-up turn on a welcome session re-selected the self-introduction prompt in buildChatPrompt and the agent kept replying with the same intro instead of answering the user. Gate resp.ChatIntro at claim time on the session still having zero human (role='user') messages via a new ChatSessionHasUserMessage query: the first, message-less server-driven turn introduces the agent; once the creator replies, later turns fall back to the normal reply prompt. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(chat): address review findings + unbreak CI (MUL-4171) - task:failed now refreshes the sessions list (invalidateSessionLists), so the thread-list preview / unread / sort stays correct after an agent failure — FailTask persists a failure chat_message but only broadcasts task:failed, mirroring the chat:done success path. - Self-heal stale chat deep links: once the sessions list has loaded and a ?session= id isn't in it (deleted / no access / never existed) with nothing in flight, clear the selection instead of rendering an editable empty chat that would POST into a nonexistent session. Freshly-created sessions are exempt (they carry optimistic messages + a pending task). - CI: add the new parameterless `chat` route to link-handler's WORKSPACE_ROUTE_SEGMENTS and to paths/consistency.test.ts (route set + expectedSegments) — keeps the two in sync, fixes the failing @multica/core test. - Fix a MUL-4235/MUL-4237 merge collision that broke @multica/views typecheck: chat-window.tsx still passed the removed `onPickPrompt` prop to EmptyState. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(chat): self-heal dangling session in shared controller, not just ChatPage (MUL-4171) Re-review follow-up: the stale-session self-heal only lived in ChatPage, so the floating ChatWindow still entered from a persisted activeSessionId and would render an editable empty chat (then POST into a nonexistent session) when the selected session was deleted / lost access off the /chat route. - Move the self-heal into the shared useChatController so every surface (tab and floating window) drops a dangling activeSessionId once the sessions list has loaded and doesn't contain it. - Harden ensureSession: trust the current id only when it's in the loaded list or is a just-created session still awaiting the refetch; a dangling id falls through to create a fresh session instead of POSTing into a 404. - Exempt just-created sessions via an OPTIMISTIC-write signal (hasOptimisticInFlight: pending task or optimistic- message), not hasMessages — a session deleted elsewhere with real cached history stays eligible for self-heal. Add a unit test for the discriminator. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * test(views): fix app-sidebar useWorkspacePaths mock for the new chat nav (MUL-4171) The AppSidebar personal nav gained a `chat` item, so it calls `useWorkspacePaths().chat()` at render. The app-sidebar.test.tsx mock hadn't been updated, so `p.chat` was undefined and every render threw `TypeError: p[item.key] is not a function`, failing @multica/views#test in CI. - Add `chat: () => "/acme/chat"` to the mocked useWorkspacePaths. - Route the chat-sessions query key through a mutable `chatSessions` fixture. - Add coverage for the Chat nav: renders the link, badges the summed unread_count, and hides the badge when all sessions are read — so this drift is caught next time. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(chat): use the original floating window, not the rewritten one (MUL-4235) (#5102) Follow-up to the merged #5080, which shipped a hand-written, simplified ChatWindow and lost the original's animations / drag-resize / expand-minimize. The floating window is just a quick entry point — it should be the original UI, not a rewrite. - Restore chat-window.tsx, chat-fab.tsx, chat-resize-handles.tsx and use-chat-resize.ts verbatim from main (0-diff): motion animations, drag resize, expand/minimize and the session dropdown are back. - Restore the empty_state.returning_subtitle + starter_prompts i18n keys the original window renders (V2 had dropped them); drop the now-unused window.open_full_tooltip key the rewrite added. - Settings gating is unchanged: FloatingChat still wraps the original FAB + window, gated by floatingChatEnabled (default off) and hidden on /chat. typecheck: core/views/web/desktop green. tests: chat + settings views 126 pass. Co-authored-by: Lambda <lambda@multica.ai> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * feat(chat): archive chats from the list, delete only from Archived (MUL-4263) (#5098) Restore an archive flow as the reversible sibling of delete: - Chat list hover now offers Archive (not Delete); pin/stop unchanged. - A footer entry ('Archived · N') opens an Archived view listing archived chats; hard delete lives only there (hover -> unarchive + delete, with the existing inline confirm). - Conversation header ⋯ menu mirrors this: active chats archive, archived chats unarchive/delete. Backend: PATCH /api/chat/sessions/{id}/archive flips status active<->archived (SetChatSessionArchived), broadcasts status on chat:session_updated so other tabs re-sort into the right list. SendChatMessage already refuses archived sessions, so archived chats stay read-only until unarchived. Co-authored-by: Lambda <lambda@multica.ai> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * feat(chat): handle archived agents in Chat V2 list & conversation (MUL-4265) (#5100) * feat(chat): handle archived agents in Chat V2 list & conversation (MUL-4265) Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * refactor(chat): drop chat-list archive marker, keep conversation read-only (MUL-4265) Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * feat(chat): apply archived-agent read-only to the floating chat window (MUL-4265) Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> --------- Co-authored-by: Lambda <lambda@multica.ai> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(chat): address floating-window + archived-agent review blockers (MUL-4171) Re-review follow-up on the restored floating ChatWindow + archive flow: 1. Floating stale-session self-heal. The restored ChatWindow doesn't use the shared controller, so its ensureSession trusted any non-empty activeSessionId and there was no dangling-session cleanup — a deleted / no-access persisted session could send into a nonexistent session. Ported the same guard used for the tab: a self-heal effect that clears a dangling activeSessionId once the sessions list has loaded, and ensureSession only trusts an id that's in the list or has an in-flight optimistic write (hasOptimisticInFlight, reused from use-chat-controller). handleSend seeds the optimistic message + pending task before setActiveSession, so a freshly-created session is never mis-cleared. 2. Floating dropdown bypassed archive-first safety. Its active rows offered a hard-delete, letting the floating window destroy active chats and skip the "archive first, delete only from Archived" model. Active rows now ARCHIVE (reversible, one-click) like ChatThreadList; the floating window offers no hard-delete — unarchive/delete live only in the full Chat page's Archived view (reachable via expand). Removed the now-dead delete-confirm machinery. 3. Orphan user message on archived-agent send. SendChatMessage created the chat_message before EnqueueChatTask, which rejects an archived / runtime-less agent — a stale client would land a user message then get a 500, orphaning it. Added a preflight that checks the session agent's archived / runtime state and returns 409 before any mutation, plus a handler test asserting the send is rejected with no message persisted. feat(lark): let an agent's owner bind/manage its Lark bot (MUL-4213) (#5079)
* feat(lark): let an agent's owner bind/manage its Lark bot (MUL-4213) Scan-to-bind was authorized by workspace role only, so a non-admin member could not bind a Lark bot even to an agent they own. Authorize the device-flow install, status poll, and revoke by the same rule that governs every other agent-management op — canManageAgent: the agent's owner OR a workspace owner/admin. Backend: - router: begin/status/revoke drop to workspace-member level; the per-agent check moves into the handlers (agent_id is a query param / installation id, which the role middleware can't see). - BeginLarkInstall + RevokeLarkInstallation load the target agent and run canManageAgent. - GetLarkInstallStatus scopes the read to the session initiator or a workspace owner/admin; others get 404 (no existence leak). Session state now carries InitiatorID for this. Frontend: - LarkAgentBindButton takes agentOwnerId and lets the agent owner through (mirrors canEditAgent). - Agent Integrations tab gates Lark per-agent (owner or admin) while Slack stays workspace-admin-only, since its routes are unchanged. Tests: begin/status/revoke authorization (owner, agent owner, unrelated member) on the backend; agent-owner bind visibility on the frontend. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(lark): keep orphan installation revoke available to workspace admins (MUL-4213) RevokeLarkInstallation loaded the bound agent and ran canManageAgent unconditionally, so once the agent was hard-deleted the load 404'd and a workspace owner/admin could no longer disconnect the orphan Lark installation — a documented cleanup path (ListByWorkspace lists orphans; the active-connection query filters them; Settings surfaces "Unknown Agent" Disconnect). Fall back to workspace owner/admin-only revoke when GetAgentInWorkspace finds no agent; agents that still exist keep the owner-OR-admin canManageAgent check. A plain member gains no orphan-row cleanup rights. No FK/cascade — resolved in the application layer. Adds a backend regression test: orphan installation is revocable by a workspace owner but not a plain member. fix(workspace): await delete before navigating; suppress self-initiated realtime relocate (MUL-4129) (#4983)
* fix(workspace): drop workspace from list cache while delete is pending (MUL-4129) The delete-workspace flow navigates away before awaiting the DELETE (required ordering — see navigateAwayFromCurrentWorkspace's CancelledError notes), but useDeleteWorkspace left the workspace in the list cache until onSettled. During the pending window any list refetch re-presented the deleting workspace as a selectable/current option. Optimistically remove it in onMutate (after cancelling in-flight list fetches), roll the snapshot back in onError so a failed delete restores the workspace alongside the existing error toast, and keep the onSettled invalidate as the server-truth reconcile. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(workspace): own storage cleanup on delete success and tombstone pending deletes (MUL-4129) Address final-review blockers on #4980: 1. The realtime workspace:deleted handler reverse-looks-up the slug from the list cache to clear the ${key}:${slug} persisted namespace; the optimistic removal empties that row on the initiating client, so the lookup misses and cleanup was silently skipped. Capture the slug in onMutate before removal and clear storage in onSuccess only — a failed DELETE rolls back and must not touch persisted state. 2. cancelQueries only covered fetches already in flight at onMutate. Add a pending-delete tombstone (marked onMutate, lifted onSettled before the reconcile invalidate) filtered inside workspaceListOptions' queryFn, so invalidation/reconnect/fetchQuery refetches that land mid-pending cannot write the not-yet-committed row back into cache. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * docs(claude-md): scope optimistic updates to same-screen field patches Replace the blanket "mutations optimistic by default" state rule with three scoped rules: optimistic only for predictable same-screen field patches; navigating/confirming flows (create/delete/leave) await the server first; chat send uses the pending-message pattern. Aligned with TanStack Query maintainer guidance and React Router's pending-UI criteria; the old blanket rule is what steered the original MUL-4129 fix toward optimistic entity removal. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(workspace): await delete before navigating; drop optimistic removal (MUL-4129) Rework of the previous approach on this branch. The optimistic removal emptied the workspace list cache at click time, while the settings page was still mounted on the old slug — useWorkspaceId (URL slug + list lookup) then threw 'no workspace selected'. Root cause of the original navigate-first ordering was dual ownership of delete handling between the initiating flow and the realtime workspace:deleted handler. - useDeleteWorkspace: no optimistic removal, no rollback; onMutate only marks the delete self-initiated and captures the slug; onSuccess owns storage cleanup; onSettled invalidates. - pending-delete.ts: repurposed from tombstone filter to self-initiated marker; kept on success (suppresses the WS echo), lifted on failure. - use-realtime-sync: workspace:deleted no-ops for self-initiated deletes; it now only serves deletes initiated elsewhere. - workspace-tab: confirm dialog stays open in loading state, navigate only after the DELETE succeeds; failure leaves the user in place with nothing to roll back. Replace throwing useWorkspaceId with workspace?.id + enabled gating (independent crash on external deletes of the current workspace). Known debt: useLeaveWorkspace still navigates before awaiting (member:removed has no self-initiated marker yet). MUL-4009: hide not-configured Composio toolkits at Service layer (#4880)
* MUL-4009: hide not-configured Composio toolkits at Service layer Filter out toolkits with no enabled auth config in Service.ListToolkits so the Settings UI only shows connectable apps. A dead 'Not configured' card is noise for end users, so drop the entry entirely instead of showing a greyed label (which existed only to avoid a dead Connect button, MUL-3720). - service.go: only append connectable toolkits; drop the connectable-first sort (all entries are connectable now); a resolver error now returns an error (502) instead of masking to an empty catalog, so the UI shows its honest load-failed state rather than a misleading 'no apps configured'. - Keep the wire 'connectable' field (always true) for backward compat with older desktop clients that branch on it. - composio-tab.tsx: remove the 'Not configured' branch; keep the toolkit.connectable guard as a client-side backstop. - i18n: drop composio.not_connectable / not_connectable_hint from en/ja/ko/zh-Hans. - Update service + handler tests to assert filtering and the resolver-error path. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * MUL-4009: address review — empty-state copy, 502 handler test, stale comments Review follow-up on #4880: - i18n: rewrite composio.page_description / empty_title / empty_description in all 4 locales. The empty state now means 'no toolkit with an enabled auth config in the project', not 'Composio returned no catalog' — the old copy misled users after filtering landed. - Add TestComposio_ListToolkits_ResolverErrorIs502: fakes an auth-config resolver error and asserts ListComposioToolkits returns 502, pinning the no-silent-empty-catalog behavior (composioFakeSDK gains listAuthErr). - Refresh stale 'full catalog / false connectable' docs in packages/core/types/composio.ts, composio/queries.ts, api/client.ts to the connectable-only model. feat(composio): gate MCP apps behind feature flag (#4876)
* feat(composio): server-side connect flow + connections REST (Notion MVP) (MUL-3720) (#4608)
* feat(composio): server-side connect flow + connections REST (Notion MVP) (MUL-3720)
Compose the merged server/pkg/composio SDK into a user-facing connection
manager: signed-state connect handshake, local user_composio_connection
mirror, idempotent disconnect, and a per-user MCP session helper (not yet
wired into task dispatch).
- migration 127_user_composio_connection (no FK/cascade, per DB rules)
- sqlc queries: upsert (idempotent on user_id+connected_account_id), list
active, owner-scoped get, mark revoked
- internal/integrations/composio: signed HMAC-SHA256 state, BeginConnect,
CompleteCallback (idempotent upsert), ListConnections, Disconnect
(upstream 404 = idempotent success), CreateMCPSession (no-op when empty,
pins connected_accounts per toolkit), CallbackRedirect
- REST handlers under /api/integrations/composio (user-scoped, 503 when
COMPOSIO_API_KEY unset): connect/init, callback (302), connections list,
delete
- router wiring gated by COMPOSIO_API_KEY; COMPOSIO_AUTH_CONFIGS_JSON maps
toolkit->auth_config (MVP: notion); state secret from COMPOSIO_STATE_SECRET
or derived from JWT_SECRET; callback base from COMPOSIO_CALLBACK_BASE_URL
or MULTICA_PUBLIC_URL
- tests: state (expire/tamper/wrong-secret), service (mapping, callback
idempotency, non-success, disconnect owner/404 idempotency, MCP pin),
handlers (httptest), redact regression for Bearer mcp_ tokens
MVP scope: Notion only; no task-dispatch overlay, sharing, or webhook
event handling (later stages).

* fix(composio): bind callback account to user + idempotent revoked disconnect (MUL-3720)
Address PR 4608 review (CHANGES_REQUESTED):
- callback: verify connected_account_id with Composio before mirroring it.
The signed state only proved user/toolkit/exp, so a valid state paired with
a tampered connected_account_id would be written verbatim. CompleteCallback
now calls ListConnectedAccounts and fails closed (ErrAccountVerification)
unless the account belongs to the state's user (composio_user_id == multica
user id) and was created under the toolkit's auth config. No row is written
on mismatch / unknown account / upstream error.
- disconnect: short-circuit to a no-op when the local row is already revoked,
before touching upstream. Previously a second DELETE re-hit Composio and a
non-404 upstream error surfaced as a 502, breaking the 204-idempotent
contract.
- CreateMCPSession: document the v1 single-active-connection-per-(user,toolkit)
constraint and make duplicate selection deterministic (newest-wins, rows are
connected_at DESC) instead of order-dependent map overwrite. Stage 3 owns the
real single-account-enforcement vs multi-account-shape decision.
Tests: tampered/wrong-auth-config/unknown-account callback rejection, revoked-row
disconnect no-op (asserts upstream not re-hit). composio pkg 85% coverage; all
green.

* feat(composio): list all toolkits + dynamic auth-config resolution (MUL-3720)
Yushen's follow-up to the Notion MVP: surface the full Composio toolkit
catalog, render it in Settings, and drop the static env mapping in favor of
dynamic auth-config discovery.
Config correctness (per Composio docs):
- Remove COMPOSIO_AUTH_CONFIGS_JSON entirely. The toolkit→auth_config mapping
is now resolved at request time from the project's /auth_configs (cached,
5-min TTL), so enabling a toolkit is a dashboard action, not a redeploy.
- Do NOT add COMPOSIO_PROJECT_ID. The project API key (x-api-key) authenticates
to exactly one project; the project is resolved from the key. Only org-level
endpoints use x-org-api-key, which this integration never calls.
Backend:
- SDK: server/pkg/composio/auth_configs.go — ListAuthConfigs (toolkit_slug,
is_composio_managed, show_disabled, limit, cursor).
- service: dynamic resolver (authConfigMap cache; betterAuthConfig prefers a
custom/white-label config over Composio-managed, newest wins); BeginConnect
and CompleteCallback resolve via it; ListToolkits fetches the full catalog
(paginated, capped) annotated with connectable = has an enabled auth config,
connectable-first ordering.
- handler + route: GET /api/integrations/composio/toolkits (user-scoped, 503
when COMPOSIO_API_KEY unset) returning slug/name/logo/category/connectable.
Frontend:
- core: ComposioToolkit/ComposioConnection types, api client methods, and
composio query options (@multica/core/composio).
- views: Settings → Integrations now has a Composio section rendering every
toolkit as a card with search. Connect is gated on `connectable`;
non-connectable toolkits show a muted "not configured" hint instead of a
dead button. Connected toolkits show a badge + Disconnect (with confirm).
- i18n: composio block added to en/zh-Hans/ja/ko settings.
Tests: SDK + service (dynamic resolution, custom-over-managed preference,
connectable flag, resolver-error soft-degrade) and handler toolkits endpoint;
composio pkg 85.7% coverage. go build/vet/gofmt clean; core+views typecheck,
core+views lint, and core tests (691) all green.

* fix(composio): close cross-toolkit callback fail-open by signing auth_config_id into state (MUL-3720)
Re-review blocker: CompleteCallback resolved the toolkit's auth config at
callback time and ignored a resolve error/empty result, while
verifyAccountOwnership skipped the auth-config comparison when the expected
value was empty. A user could then pass another toolkit's connected_account_id
into this toolkit's callback — the owner check passed and it was written under
the wrong toolkit_slug/account binding.
Fix: the auth_config_id is already resolved in BeginConnect (before the state
is signed), so sign it into the state and compare it exactly at callback. No
re-resolve, no fail-open. verifyAccountOwnership now fails closed when the
expected auth config is empty (rejects instead of skipping) and requires an
exact match — closing the cross-toolkit binding gap.
Tests: state round-trips auth_config_id; BeginConnect signs it; callback
rejects wrong/cross-toolkit auth config and an empty (no-mapping) auth config
fails closed. composio pkg 85.2% coverage, all green.
Frontend (non-blocking): the Composio settings tab now surfaces an error when
the connections query fails instead of silently rendering everything as
unconnected.

* fix(composio): hide Settings section entirely when integration unconfigured (MUL-3720)
Decision (option 2, hide-then-merge): don't show a card that leaks the internal
COMPOSIO_API_KEY env-var name to every end user. IntegrationsTab now gates the
whole Composio section (heading + body) on the toolkits query — a 503 means the
key is unset, so the section is withheld instead of rendering the not-configured
card. Admin-only setup guidance is a later, role-gated affordance.
Removed the notConfigured card (and now-unused ApiError import) from
ComposioTab; it only mounts when configured. views typecheck + lint clean.

* fix(composio): callback endpoint should not require Multica auth (MUL-3843) (#4709)
* fix(composio): move OAuth callback out of the Auth group (MUL-3843)
Composio 302-redirects the browser to /api/integrations/composio/callback
at the end of the OAuth flow, but PR #4608 mounted it inside the cookie-auth
middleware group. When the session cookie is absent (expired session,
SameSite=Strict / Safari ITP, private window, self-hosted callback subdomain)
the Auth middleware returned a hard 401 and a JSON blob instead of the
settings redirect, breaking the flow.
Identity never came from the cookie anyway: it is carried by the HMAC-signed
state param that CompleteCallback verifies (signature, expiry, replay) and
cross-checked by verifyAccountOwnership; h.Composio == nil still 503s. So the
callback is registered alongside the other public OAuth/webhook routes; the
other four composio endpoints stay session-gated.

* fix(composio): correct stale callback routing comments (MUL-3843)
The package header and ComposioCallback doc comments still described the
callback as sitting under the Auth middleware group. After the route was
moved out (this PR), update both to state it is a public route whose identity
comes from the signed state — addressing review nit from 张大彪.

* feat(composio): inject MCP overlay into agent runtime at task dispatch (MUL-3721) (#4704)
Stage 3 of the Composio epic. Wires the per-user Composio MCP session into
every agent task so the agent process sees the initiator's connected tools
without any prompt-time plumbing.
Server side
- Migration 128 adds agent_task_queue.runtime_mcp_overlay JSONB plus a
BEFORE-UPDATE trigger that wipes the column on any transition into a
terminal status (completed / failed / cancelled). A trigger is the single
source of truth — future queries that flip status cannot bypass it.
- composio.Service.BuildTaskOverlay(userID) reuses CreateMCPSession and
emits the Claude-style { mcpServers: { composio: { type: http, url,
headers } } } shape the daemon's existing sidecar generators consume.
Returns (nil, nil) on zero active connections so we never burn a
Composio session for a user with nothing to call.
- TaskService grows a Composio ComposioOverlayBuilder seam, wired in
router.go after composiointeg.NewService succeeds. Five enqueue paths
(issue / mention / quick-create / chat / auto-retry) attach the overlay
after CreateAgentTask returns and before the daemon is notified — so
every claim reads a settled row, with no second daemon hop. Best-effort:
a builder failure logs and proceeds with no overlay.
- resolveInitiatorFromTriggerComment derives the initiator user from the
trigger comment when it was authored by a member. Agent-authored
triggers are not treated as initiators (their connected-apps view is
empty by construction).
Daemon side
- handler/daemon.go claim path merges task.runtime_mcp_overlay onto
agent.mcp_config via mergeMCPOverlay before populating
TaskAgentData.McpConfig. Overlay wins on server-name collisions
because it carries the live user-scoped session URL. Errors fall back
to the agent config unchanged — a bad overlay must not surprise-disable
saved MCP tools. The existing execenv sidecar generators (cursor /
codex / openclaw / opencode / hermes-kiro) need no changes: they keep
consuming the merged result through TaskAgentData.McpConfig.
Tests
- 9 merge cases (mcp_overlay_test): both-nil short-circuit, agent-only
pass-through, overlay-only canonicalization, two-side merge, name
collision (overlay wins), top-level key preservation, malformed agent
fallback, malformed overlay fallback, non-object server rejection.
- 4 dispatch cases (composio): zero-connections returns nil without
CreateSession, happy-path emits the right shape with the right user
id, empty-URL defensive branch, SDK error surfacing.
- 4 TaskService helper cases: nil Composio is a no-op (Queries-safe),
invalid initiator does not call the builder, nil overlay skips the
UPDATE, builder error swallowed without panic.
- Migration 128 verified to roll up + down + up cleanly against the test
database.
Out of scope (deferred): assignment-triggered enqueue paths with no
trigger comment get no overlay attached today (no initiator UUID flows
through enqueueIssueTask in that case). Retry paths recompute the overlay
fresh from the parent's initiator_user_id instead of inheriting the bearer
from the parent row, so a stale token can never resurface on a retry.

* feat(composio): per-agent allowlist + originator-scoped MCP overlay (MUL-3869) (#4736)
* feat(composio): per-agent allowlist + originator-scoped MCP overlay (MUL-3869)
Stage 3.1 of the Composio epic (MUL-3721 parent). PR #4704 wired in the
runtime_mcp_overlay column and a per-task dispatch hook; this change
inverts the default from "all-on" to opt-in and locks the overlay to the
agent owner's own connected apps:
- Agents carry composio_toolkit_allowlist TEXT[]. NULL or [] => no MCP.
Owner-only read/write; non-owner GET/PUT silently redacts/drops the
field (same shape as mcp_config).
- agent_task_queue carries originator_user_id UUID. Set from the
top-of-chain HUMAN at every enqueue path:
* issue/mention comment by member -> author_id
* issue/mention comment by agent -> inherit via comment.source_task_id
-> parent task originator_user_id
* quick-create -> requester_id
* chat -> initiator_user_id
* retry -> SQL-inherited from parent row
* autopilot -> NULL (system-driven)
- BuildTaskOverlay (composio dispatch) now takes (ctx, originatorUserID,
agent) and short-circuits on five gates: invalid originator,
originator != agent.owner_id, empty allowlist, empty intersection of
allowlist ∩ active connections, defensive empty session URL. Composio
CreateSession is called with BOTH `toolkits.slugs` (the intersection)
AND `connected_accounts` (the pinned account ids), narrowing the
tool-router twice.
- The originator-vs-owner gate closes the agent-fanout privacy hole: any
workspace member who can @-mention a public agent used to project the
owner's connected apps into their run. Now the overlay only mounts
when the human at the top of the chain IS the agent owner.
Tests:
- dispatch_test.go covers all 5 gates plus uppercase/whitespace slug
normalisation.
- task_runtime_mcp_overlay_test.go covers the no-op gates of the new
applyRuntimeMCPOverlay signature.
- agent_composio_allowlist_test.go (handler): owner roundtrip
(list/empty/null), workspace-admin silent-drop, owner-only GET
visibility, pure normaliseComposioToolkitAllowlist.
- resolve_originator_test.go (service, DB-backed): member-authored,
agent-authored inherits via comment.source_task_id, invalid id.
Migration 129 up/down/up verified against docker postgres.

refactor(slack): declutter the Slack connect UI (#4700)
* refactor(slack): declutter the Slack connect UI Trim the Slack bring-your-own-app UI to match the leaner Lark card and stop burying the setup behind prose nobody reads: - Drop the "Required bot scopes: …" block from the connect dialog. - Shorten the Slack integration card description to mirror the Lark card; the token/admin details stay in the setup docs. - Remove the dialog intro paragraph and the per-field token hints; replace the small "Read the setup guide" link with a larger, more prominent step-by-step guide link. Removes the now-unused i18n keys (byo_dialog_intro, byo_bot_token_hint, byo_app_token_hint, byo_scopes_hint) across en/zh-Hans/ja/ko. * docs(slack): drop the users:read warning callout The bot manifest already lists users:read as a required scope (with the bots.info rationale in the scopes table), so the standalone warning callout was redundant. Removed across en/zh/ja/ko. |

feat(slack): bring-your-own-app install + per-installation Socket Mode (MUL-3666) (#4566)
* feat(slack): single app-level Socket Mode connection routed by team_id (MUL-3666) Reshape the Slack adapter from the stage-3 per-installation Socket Mode model into the multi-tenant B2 connection model: ONE deployment-level Socket Mode connection (app-level xapp- token, env MULTICA_SLACK_APP_TOKEN) receives the Events API stream for every installed workspace and routes each inbound event to its channel_installation by team_id — the existing GetChannelInstallationByAppID routing, unchanged. - AppConnector: the single shared connection (slack/app_connector.go). No leader election — per the design "one (or a few)" connections are fine: each replica opens one, Slack delivers each event to one of them, and the existing (installation, message_id) two-phase dedup guarantees exactly-once processing. Resolves the per-team bot user id (via the same app_id query) to detect/strip @-mentions, since one connection serves many workspaces. - Inbound translation (Events API -> channel.InboundMessage) extracted to slack/inbound.go as free functions parameterized by the per-team bot identity. - channel.go trimmed to the outbound Send-only sender; per-installation config (config.go) no longer carries an app-level token — installs hold only the per-workspace bot token (xoxb-) for outbound, since xapp- can't be OAuth'd. - engine.Supervisor now skips channel types with no registered Factory, so Slack installs (driven by the app-level connector, not per-installation channels) no longer churn the lease/Build loop. - Wiring: router.go builds the connector when MULTICA_SLACK_APP_TOKEN is set; main.go runs it alongside the Supervisor. Feishu untouched; channel_* schema unchanged. Verified: go build ./..., go vet ./..., gofmt, and go test ./internal/integrations/... all pass. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * feat(slack): OAuth self-serve install backend (MUL-3666) Add the in-product OAuth install flow that creates Slack installations, the keystone the B2 connector consumes. - slack.InstallService: Begin (build authorize URL, seal workspace/agent/ initiator into the OAuth state), Complete (verify state, exchange code via oauth.v2.access, upsert channel_type='slack' install with the bot token encrypted at rest, auto-bind the installer's Slack id so their first message is not dropped), plus List/Get/Revoke. State is stateless: sealed with the deployment secretbox + an embedded expiry, no session store. - HTTP handlers (handler/slack.go): member-visible list, admin-only begin + revoke, and the public OAuth callback (recovers context from the sealed state, redirects the browser back to Settings → Integrations with a result flag). - Routes + wiring: workspace-scoped list/begin/revoke mirror the Lark admin/member split; the callback is a public route like GitHub's. Built from MULTICA_SLACK_CLIENT_ID/SECRET (+ redirect derived from MULTICA_PUBLIC_URL, override MULTICA_SLACK_REDIRECT_URL; scopes via MULTICA_SLACK_SCOPES). - Realtime: slack_installation:created / :revoked events. Verified: go build ./..., go vet, gofmt, and go test ./internal/integrations/slack/... all pass (new install_test.go covers state sign/verify/expiry/tamper, authorize URL, code exchange + encrypted upsert + installer bind, and oauth error paths). Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * feat(slack): in-product OAuth install UI for web + desktop (MUL-3666) Add the "Connect Slack" self-serve install UI mirroring the Feishu/Lark integration, completing the in-product install half of B2. Slack's OAuth flow is a redirect (not a device-code QR poll), so the UI is simpler than Lark's. - core: SlackInstallation / List / Begin types; api.listSlackInstallations / beginSlackInstall / deleteSlackInstallation; slackKeys + slackInstallationsOptions query; realtime invalidation on slack_installation:* events. - views: slack-tab.tsx (SlackTab settings panel + per-agent SlackAgentBindButton + connected badge + disconnect confirm). Connect calls beginSlackInstall and hands the authorize URL to openExternal (system browser on desktop, new tab on web); Slack bounces to the backend callback which lands the install, and the realtime event refreshes the list. Wired into the Settings → Integrations tab and the agent-detail Integrations tab alongside Lark. - i18n: en + zh-Hans settings.slack.* strings. Verified: pnpm typecheck (full monorepo, 6/6) and pnpm lint (@multica/core, @multica/views — 0 errors) pass. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * feat(slack): outbound Replier + user-binding redeem flow (MUL-3666) Fill the stage-3 Replier=nil tail so non-installer Slack users can onboard and get status feedback — completing B2 end to end. - slack.OutboundReplier (engine.OutboundReplier): on NeedsBinding it mints a single-use binding token and DMs/replies a "link your account" prompt with the redeem URL (wrapped as <url|label> so formatMrkdwn doesn't mangle the base64url token); on AgentOffline/AgentArchived it posts a status notice; on an /issue-created Ingest it confirms the new issue. Plain chat stays silent (the agent's own reply lands via EventChatDone). Reuses the bot-token Send path and reads the installation row from ResolvedInstallation.Platform — no new transport. - slack.BindingTokenService: Mint + transactional RedeemAndBind over the generic channel_binding_token / channel_user_binding queries (channel_type='slack'), mirroring lark.BindingTokenService. 15-min TTL, SHA256-hashed tokens, the three typed failure modes (invalid/expired, already-assigned, not-member). - HTTP: POST /api/slack/binding/redeem (public, session-authed) maps the failures to 410/409/403. NewSlackResolverSet now takes the replier (nil disables it). - Frontend: /slack/bind redeem page (packages/views/slack + apps/web route) + api.redeemSlackBindingToken + en/zh slack_bind copy. Verified: go build ./..., go vet, gofmt, go test ./internal/integrations/... (new replier_test.go covers all outcome branches + the prompt URL), plus full pnpm typecheck (6/6) and pnpm lint (0 errors). Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(slack): address review must-fixes — connector leak, team-keyed install, /issue copy (MUL-3666) Three fixes from Niko's review: 1. AppConnector.connectOnce leaked the Socket Mode goroutine/connection on a handler error: it ran sm.RunContext on the long-lived ctx and returned the error without cancelling it, so a transient DB/router error left the old connection alive (consuming events into an unread channel) while Run opened a second one. Each connection now runs under its own cancellable context and a deferred cancel + join tears it down on every exit path before reconnect. 2. Slack re-install collided with the (channel_type, app_id) unique index: connecting the same Slack team to a different agent failed because the upsert conflict key was (workspace_id, agent_id, channel_type). Add a team-keyed UpsertChannelInstallationByAppID (ON CONFLICT on the (channel_type, app_id) index, updating agent_id) and use it for the Slack OAuth install, so re-connecting a workspace moves the bot to the chosen agent instead of erroring. Feishu's per-agent upsert is unchanged. 3. /issue clarified: it is not a registered Slack slash command (no `commands` scope), so Slack never routes one to us. Issue creation runs through the message path — `@bot /issue <title>` in a channel or `/issue <title>` in a DM — which the engine parser handles. Documented in the connector and the user-facing copy (en + zh). Verified: go build ./..., go vet, gofmt, go test ./internal/integrations/..., make sqlc, plus pnpm typecheck (6/6) and pnpm lint (0 errors). Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(slack): make OAuth install transactional — agent-move binding consistency + cross-workspace guard (MUL-3666) Address Elon's review: the team-keyed upsert kept the same installation row and only flipped agent_id, but engine session reuse matches purely on (installation_id, channel_chat_id) and each chat_session is permanently tied to the agent it was created under — so after moving a Slack team from Agent A to Agent B, existing DMs/threads kept routing to Agent A; only brand-new channels/threads reached B. Cross-workspace re-install was worse: the SQL also moved workspace_id while the application-layer user/chat-session bindings stayed behind, inheriting the previous workspace's relations. InstallService.Complete now runs one transaction (lookup → upsert → retire → installer-bind), all application-layer per the no-FK rule: - Look up the existing installation by team_id (config->>'app_id'). - Reject a silent cross-workspace ownership change (ErrTeamOwnedByAnotherWorkspace → callback redirects with slack_error=team_in_other_workspace). The owning workspace must disconnect first. - On an agent change within the same workspace, retire the installation's chat-session bindings (new DeleteChannelChatSessionBindingsByInstallation) so the next message creates a fresh session under the new agent. The chat_session rows are preserved for history; user bindings stay valid (same users/workspace). - Installer auto-bind moves into the tx; an already-bound-elsewhere id is a benign skip, a real DB error aborts the whole install. InstallService now takes a TxStarter; the queries seam gains WithTx (dbInstallQueries adapter) so Complete stays unit-testable with a fake tx. Verified: make sqlc, go build ./..., go vet, gofmt, go test ./internal/integrations/... (new tests: agent-move retire, same-agent no-retire, cross-workspace reject, fresh-install no-retire). Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(slack): atomic cross-workspace install guard + green up frontend CI (MUL-3666) Two things: address Elon's review and fix the failing frontend CI job. Review (atomic cross-workspace guard): the previous guard was a SELECT before the upsert, which loses the concurrent-OAuth race — two workspaces can both read no rows, one inserts, the other's ON CONFLICT update then silently re-points the team. Move the guard into the upsert itself: ON CONFLICT ... DO UPDATE ... WHERE channel_installation.workspace_id = EXCLUDED.workspace_id, and map the empty RETURNING (pgx.ErrNoRows) to ErrTeamOwnedByAnotherWorkspace. The pre-SELECT now only feeds the agent-change cleanup. Also corrected the error copy: a team stays bound to its first Multica workspace (revoke is soft, keeping the row + unique index), so migration is an operator action, not "disconnect first". CI (frontend vitest, @multica/views#test): - The agent IntegrationsTab now renders the real SlackAgentBindButton, whose connected badge calls useQueryClient — absent from integrations-tab.test.tsx's react-query mock. Hoisted the owner/admin gate above the per-platform sections (one role notice instead of one per platform), made the agents members_note generic (en/zh/ja/ko), and updated the test (mock @multica/core/slack, stub SlackAgentBindButton, assert both platforms). - Added slack-tab.test.tsx covering the real SlackAgentBindButton / SlackTab. - locale parity: added the slack (settings) + slack_bind (common) blocks to ja and ko so every EN key has a translated counterpart. Verified: make sqlc, go build ./..., go vet, gofmt, go test ./internal/integrations/...; pnpm --filter @multica/views test (1478 pass), pnpm typecheck (6/6), pnpm lint (0 errors). Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(slack): surface agent-page Slack entry points when Lark is off (MUL-3666) The agent-detail Integrations tab and the inspector's Integrations section only considered Lark, so a Slack-only deployment (Lark disabled) showed neither the Integrations tab nor a Connect-Slack button — the per-agent entry points were unreachable. - agent-overview-pane: gate the Integrations tab on Lark OR Slack configured (new slackInstallationsOptions query), not Lark alone. - agent-detail-inspector: render SlackAgentBindButton alongside LarkAgentBindButton in the Integrations section. - regression test: the Integrations tab appears when only Slack is configured. Verified: pnpm typecheck (6/6), pnpm --filter @multica/views test (1478+ pass), pnpm lint (0 errors). Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * feat(slack): BYO-app install backend — paste xoxb+xapp, per-app install keyed by real app id (MUL-3666) Adds the bring-your-own-app install path so multiple agents can each have their own bot identity in the SAME Slack workspace (hosted B2 caps at one agent/workspace). User pastes their app's bot token (xoxb-) + app-level token (xapp-); we validate the bot token via auth.test, parse the real Slack app id from the xapp- token, encrypt both tokens, and persist a per-app installation keyed by that app id (real 'A…' ids never collide with hosted 'T…' team ids in the existing unique index — no schema change). - config.go: add app_token_encrypted (BYO discriminator + per-app socket token) - install.go: extract shared persistInstall (atomic cross-ws guard + agent-move retire) - byo_install.go: RegisterBYO + auth.test + app-id parse - handler + route: POST /api/workspaces/{id}/slack/install/byo (admin-only) - tests: keying, encryption, invalid tokens, auth.test failure, cross-ws, agent move Follow-ups (separate commits): per-app Socket Mode connector that consumes the stored app token; in-product BYO install dialog (video + paste form). Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * refactor(slack): drop OAuth, unify on BYO per-installation model (MUL-3666) Per product decision, Slack drops the hosted-app OAuth path entirely and unifies on bring-your-own-app (BYO): every installation carries its OWN app-level token and gets its OWN Socket Mode connection, so multiple agents can each have a distinct bot identity in one Slack workspace. - Remove OAuth install (Begin/Complete/code-exchange/sealed state/OAuthConfig/ default scopes), the OAuth callback + begin handlers + routes, and the MULTICA_SLACK_CLIENT_ID/SECRET/REDIRECT/APP_TOKEN env wiring. - Replace the single deployment-level AppConnector with a per-installation slackChannel (authenticated with its own xapp- token) registered as a channel Factory, so the engine Supervisor drives one Socket Mode connection per installation (exactly like Feishu). inbound/outbound/resolvers reused as-is. - Route inbound by the event's api_app_id (== the installation's real app id), not team_id. - InstallService slims to at-rest encryption + the shared persistInstall + list/get/revoke; install is the BYO paste path only (byo_install.go). - Tests: drop the OAuth tests; slack + handler + engine all green. Follow-up (frontend): replace the OAuth "Connect Slack" button with the BYO paste dialog (the begin endpoint it calls is now gone). Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(slack): verify BYO bot + app tokens are from the same app, and the app token is live (MUL-3666) Niko review: RegisterBYO only parsed the app id from the xapp string and auth.test'd the bot token, so pasting app A's bot token with app B's app token would 'connect' but be broken (inbound on B's socket, outbound with A's identity). Now: resolve the bot's owning app id via bots.info (on the bot_id from auth.test) and require it to equal the xapp's app id; and live- validate the app token via apps.connections.open. Reject (no persist) on mismatch or a dead app token. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * feat(slack): in-product BYO install dialog (paste bot + app tokens) (MUL-3666) The OAuth begin endpoint was removed server-side, so the "Connect Slack" button now opens a dialog where the admin pastes the bot token (xoxb-) and app-level token (xapp-) of the Slack app they created, and submits to the BYO install endpoint. Includes an optional setup-video link (URL constant, left empty until the walkthrough is recorded). - core: drop beginSlackInstall / BeginSlackInstallResponse; add registerSlackBYO + RegisterSlackBYORequest. - views: SlackAgentBindButton opens the BYO dialog; refreshed comments and install_supported docs (now means "configured", no OAuth). - i18n: new slack.byo_* keys + refreshed page_description in en/zh-Hans/ja/ko. - tests: dialog submit path; views vitest (1479), typecheck, lint, locale parity all green. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(slack): Elon review — team_id routing guard, per-agent reconnect, users:read hint (MUL-3666) 1. Inbound routing keys on api_app_id (the APP, not the Slack workspace), so additionally require the event's team_id to match the installation's stored team. A distributed BYO app installed into another Slack workspace emits the same app id and would otherwise mis-route to this Multica installation. Extracted installationServesTeam() + unit test. 2. BYO install is now agent-keyed (UpsertChannelInstallation, conflict on workspace_id+agent_id+channel_type): one bot per agent. Disconnect → reconnect a NEW app for the SAME agent now UPDATES that agent's row in place instead of violating the (workspace, agent, channel) unique. A unique violation on the (channel_type, app_id) routing index → ErrTeamOwnedByAnother- Workspace (the app is already connected to another agent/workspace). No chat-session retire is needed: a row's agent_id never changes. 3. UX: bots.info (the same-app check) needs the users:read scope — the connect dialog now lists the required bot scopes including it, and the error text says so. Backend build/vet/gofmt/test + views vitest + typecheck + locale parity green. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(slack): publish slack_installation:created on BYO connect; refresh stale comments (MUL-3666) Niko final review: RegisterSlackBYO wrote the response but never published EventSlackInstallationCreated, so only the installer's own tab refreshed — other open clients (Settings, Agent Integrations, other tabs) did not see the new bot in realtime, inconsistent with the revoke event and Lark. Now publishes it on success via a small publishSlackInstallationCreated helper, with a unit test (Bus.Publish is synchronous). Also refreshed comments that still described the removed hosted-OAuth / single deployment-level AppConnector model (handler SlackInstall field, channel.go / inbound.go / outbound.go / byo_install.go). PR title updated separately to the BYO per-installation Socket Mode model. feat(web): native notification banners for the web app (MUL-3116) (#3883)
The in-app inbox (sidebar badge, real-time WS updates, settings, inbox page) was already shared and worked on web. The only Desktop-only piece was the native OS banner: handleInboxNew called desktopAPI.showNotification, which is undefined on web, so no banner fired for new inbox items while the app was unfocused. Add the browser equivalent, keeping handleInboxNew as the single decision point (focus + source-workspace mute gating stays shared with desktop): - packages/core/platform/system-notification.ts: browser Notification engine (showWebNotification) + permission helpers + a click-handler registry. Lives in core (the caller does) but injects the click-routing decision so core stays headless. - handleInboxNew: branch desktopAPI (unchanged) → else showWebNotification. - apps/web WebNotificationBridge: registers click routing to the source workspace's inbox (?issue=…), mirroring desktop's DesktopInboxBridge. - Settings → Notifications: web-only opt-in to grant browser permission (hidden on desktop / where the API is unavailable); en/zh-Hans/ja/ko. Permission is an explicit settings opt-in (no auto-prompt on load, per browser best practice). Tests cover the engine and the web path in handleInboxNew. fix(lark): hide only the Lark (international) connect entry; keep Feishu (#3835)
Mainland Feishu binding works; only the newly-added Lark (international, open.larksuite.com) install path is unreliable — some Lark installs complete on Lark's side but never persist a lark_installation row (no WS, no inbound, no task). Hide just the "Bind to Lark" CTA behind a single LARK_INTL_CONNECT_ENABLED flag and leave the "Bind to Feishu" entry, the settings panel, and all existing-installation management untouched. Flip LARK_INTL_CONNECT_ENABLED back to true to restore the Lark CTA; nothing else changes. Temporary measure while the Lark install-landing bug is investigated. - LarkAgentBindButton: the Lark button is gated by the flag; the Feishu button and the Connected badge / Manage / Disconnect are unchanged. - Tests: the CTA tests assert Feishu shown + Lark hidden; the Feishu click-to-begin (region=feishu) test stays; the Lark click test was removed (no button) and noted for restore; the dialog polling-error tests open via the Feishu CTA. feat(lark): split bind CTA into Feishu and Lark entry points (MUL-3083) (#3832)
* feat(lark): split bind CTA into Feishu and Lark entry points (MUL-3083 follow-up)
The single "Bind to Lark" button began the device flow against
accounts.feishu.cn and relied on a mid-poll tenant_brand="lark" to
auto-switch international users over to accounts.larksuite.com. Lark
users had to scan a QR served from a Feishu domain first, which
surfaced as confusing in real use.
Replace with two explicit CTAs side by side — "Bind to Feishu" and
"Bind to Lark" — and route the device-flow begin straight to the
matching accounts host based on the user's choice. The mid-poll
auto-switch is preserved as a safety net for users who pick the wrong
entry.
Backend
- RegistrationClient.Begin(ctx, namePreset, region): POSTs to
c.cfg.LarkDomain when region=lark, c.cfg.Domain otherwise. Empty /
unknown region falls back to Feishu (matches RegionOrDefault).
- BeginInstallParams.Region threads through to the registration session
and onto runPolling's initial region local. SwitchedDomain still
flips it on tenant_brand=lark.
- POST /api/workspaces/{id}/lark/install/begin accepts ?region=feishu|lark
with empty defaulting to feishu for back-compat.
Frontend
- api.beginLarkInstall(wsId, agentId, region) — region now required
so every call site is forced to pick a cloud explicitly.
- LarkAgentBindButton renders two buttons; dialog state collapsed into
a single dialogRegion useState so an "open but with no region picked"
intermediate state can't exist.
- LarkInstallDialog takes region as a required prop and renders
region-aware copy (title, description, scan hint, link fallback,
success toast).
i18n
- Add bind_button_{feishu,lark}, install_dialog_{title,description}_*,
install_scan_hint_*, install_open_link_fallback_*, and
install_success_toast_* keys across en, zh-Hans, ja, ko. Legacy
single-region keys are kept for now; nothing in the tree references
them anymore but a follow-up cleanup can remove them once the dust
settles.
Tests
- Two new lark.RegistrationClient tests pin region routing in both
directions (region=lark hits LarkDomain; region=feishu hits Domain).
- Two new lark-tab.test.tsx cases pin that clicking each CTA calls
beginLarkInstall with the matching region argument. Existing CTA
tests updated to expect both buttons in place of one.
MUL-3083
Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>
* fix(lark): bidirectional tenant_brand swap + region-aware badge + link context menu
Addresses Elon's review on PR #3832 plus a separate report that the
"Or tap here to open in Lark" link in the install dialog had no
standard right-click affordances on the desktop app.
Backend (must-fix from review)
The PR's stated 'safety net for users who pick the wrong CTA' only
worked one direction: a Feishu-first begin already swapped to Lark on
tenant_brand=lark, but the new Lark-first begin (added by this same PR)
had no reverse path — a user who picked 'Bind to Lark' but actually
authorized with a Feishu account would carry RegionLark all the way
through finishSuccess and either fail at GetBotInfo or commit a
wrong-region row.
- PollResult now carries SwitchedDomain AND SwitchedRegion in
lockstep, so the caller never has to re-derive region from the
domain string.
- Poll() detects tenant_brand=feishu while polling against a non-Feishu
host symmetrically with the existing tenant_brand=lark check, gated
on the current host so we don't loop on a brand we already match.
- runPolling reads region from res.SwitchedRegion instead of the
hardcoded RegionLark — the SwitchedDomain branch now flips both
feishu→lark and lark→feishu cleanly.
- Tests: updated the existing TestRegistrationClient_Poll_DomainSwitchOnLarkTenant
to assert SwitchedRegion, added TestRegistrationClient_Poll_DomainSwitchOnFeishuTenant
for the reverse, and TestRegistrationClient_Poll_NoSwitchWhenAlreadyOnMatchingHost
(table-driven, both directions) to pin that the gate doesn't loop.
Backend (nit from review)
Handler comment on /lark/install/begin claimed unknown region defaults
to Feishu downstream, but the handler already returns 400 on unknown
values. Updated the comment to match the actual behavior and document
why we 400 rather than silently normalize (so a frontend typo can't
land users on the wrong cloud without telling them).
Frontend (nit from review)
The Agent inspector's Connected badge was hardcoded 'Connected to
Lark' / 'Manage in Lark' (en) and 'Connected to Feishu' / 'Manage in
Feishu' (zh-Hans) — both wrong half the time now that the install
flow can land on either cloud per agent. Made the badge text and
Manage tooltip read from installation.region:
- agent_bot_connected_label_{feishu,lark}
- agent_bot_manage_link_{feishu,lark}
- agent_bot_manage_tooltip_{feishu,lark}
across en / zh-Hans / ja / ko. Legacy single-region keys retained for
safety. Existing badge tests updated: fixtures without 'region' now
expect the Feishu copy; the region: 'lark' test was promoted to also
assert the Lark badge text and link target. 21/21 lark-tab tests pass.
Desktop (separate report)
Right-clicking an <a> in the renderer surfaced only Copy / Cut /
Paste / Select All — no 'Open Link in Browser' or 'Copy Link Address'.
The renderer's <a target="_blank"> click path already routes through
setWindowOpenHandler → openExternalSafely, but discoverability via the
context menu was missing.
context-menu.ts now appends two link-specific items when params.linkURL
is an http(s) URL. Open Link routes through openExternalSafely (reuses
the existing scheme allowlist); Copy Link Address writes to Electron's
clipboard. Labels are localized to the OS preferred language for the
four locales the renderer ships (en / zh-Hans / ja / ko); zh-* variants
all route to zh-Hans, anything else falls back to English. New
context-menu.test.ts pins five cases: link items show for http(s),
not for javascript:/mailto:/etc., not when no link is under the cursor,
zh-CN gets Chinese, fr-FR falls back to English. 198/198 desktop tests
pass.

feat(lark): split agent integration UI into inspector status + tab actions (#3830)
The agent Lark binding surfaced the same connect/disconnect affordance in two places on one page — the left inspector's INTEGRATIONS section and the right pane's Integrations tab both rendered the full LarkAgentBindButton, so the destructive Disconnect lived in two spots. Split by role: - Inspector (left): a compact, read-only status row (green dot + region chip + "Connected to Lark") that deep-links into the Integrations tab. New LarkAgentBotStatusRow, opted into via LarkAgentBindButton's onShowConnectedDetails prop. - Integrations tab (right): keeps the full badge, now the single home for Manage / Disconnect. The badge itself is reworked to a two-row layout — status (left) + soft `destructive`-variant Disconnect (right) on row 1, "Manage in Lark" demoted to a muted secondary link on row 2. Cross-sibling navigation goes through a one-shot navIntent channel on AgentOverviewPane that routes via requestTabChange, so the unsaved-changes guard still fires when jumping from the inspector. feat(lark): unbind affordance on the agent connected badge (MUL-3090) (#3826)
Surface a Disconnect/Unbind action in LarkAgentBotConnectedBadge so owners and admins can remove a Lark Bot binding directly from the agent inspector — no detour to Settings. The button sits next to the existing 'Manage in Lark' link and is intentionally rendered as a quieter muted-foreground control with a hover-destructive accent so it doesn't compete visually but stays discoverable. Confirmation is mandatory: a small AlertDialog reuses the existing disconnect_confirm_* i18n strings. The action calls api.deleteLarkInstallation, invalidates larkKeys.installations(wsId) on success so the parent re-renders the Bind CTA, and toasts success/failure. Cancel is disabled while the request is in-flight to prevent racing the close. Tests cover button visibility, confirm gating, success path (delete called with correct args, cache invalidated, toast), error path (no invalidate, toast.error), and Cancel-disabled behaviour. feat(lark): support both Feishu and Lark from one deployment (MUL-3083) (#3815)
* feat(lark): serve Feishu and Lark from one deployment, per installation
The Lark integration was locked to a single open-platform host chosen
deployment-wide (MULTICA_LARK_HTTP_BASE_URL / _CALLBACK_BASE_URL,
defaulting to open.feishu.cn), so one deployment could talk to only the
mainland Feishu cloud OR Lark international — never both. Teams on the
other tenant could not use the integration at all.
Make the host per-installation. The device-flow installer already
auto-detects the tenant (Lark emits tenant_brand="lark" mid-poll); we now
persist that as lark_installation.region, carry it on
InstallationCredentials.Region, and resolve the open-platform host per
call (REST + WS bootstrap) from the region. An explicit cfg.BaseURL
(env / httptest) still overrides every region, so existing tests and
staging/proxy setups keep working.
- migration 116: lark_installation.region TEXT NOT NULL DEFAULT 'feishu'
CHECK (region IN ('feishu','lark')) — existing rows are all mainland.
- lark.Region enum + OpenPlatformBaseURL/RegionOrDefault helpers.
- registration: thread the detected region into finishSuccess so the
install-time GetBotInfo hits the right cloud AND the row records it.
- every credential-build site (patcher, replier, WS provider, union_id
backfill) copies region off the installation row.
- region is part of the WS supervisor fingerprint so a re-install that
switches cloud restarts the connection.
- API: surface region on the installation listing DTO.

* feat(lark): surface installation region in settings UI
Read the per-installation region off the listings response: build the
"Manage in Lark" dev-console host from it (open.feishu.cn vs
open.larksuite.com instead of a hardcoded mainland host) and render a
Feishu / Lark badge on each connected bot. The field is optional and
defaults to Feishu when an older server omits it (API-compat). Adds the
region_feishu / region_lark labels to all four locales.
MUL-3083
Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>
* docs(lark): document simultaneous Feishu + Lark support
The cloud each bot belongs to is now auto-detected at install and stored
per installation, so one deployment serves both. Replace the old
"point MULTICA_LARK_HTTP_BASE_URL at larksuite for international tenants"
guidance (now just an optional override) in all four locales.
MUL-3083
Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>
* fix(lark): repair legacy Lark-international installs on upgrade
Review follow-up (MUL-3083). Migration 116 backfilled every existing
lark_installation to region='feishu', assuming all historical rows were
mainland. But self-host deployments could already run Lark international
via the deployment-wide MULTICA_LARK_HTTP_BASE_URL override, so those
rows are really Lark — clearing the override after upgrade (which the new
docs invite) would route them to open.feishu.cn and break them.
Add a one-shot startup repair, BackfillRegionFromLegacyOverride, fired
off the hot path like BackfillBotUnionIDs: when the deployment's global
base-URL override targets open.larksuite.com, relabel the still-default
'feishu' rows to 'lark'. Gating on the deployment-wide override is what
makes it safe — every pre-existing install on such a deployment was Lark.
Idempotent; no-op on mainland / fresh deployments. Verified end-to-end
against a scratch DB (flip then 0-row idempotent re-run).
Also document that a Lark/飞书 app_id is globally unique across both
clouds, which is what makes the app_id-keyed token cache and the
UNIQUE(app_id) constraint safe across regions (review nit).
MUL-3083
Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>
* docs(lark): fix ops guidance to match auto per-installation region
Review follow-up (MUL-3083). .env.example and docker-compose.selfhost.yml
still told operators that international Lark requires pointing both base
URLs at open.larksuite.com — now wrong, and it would push a fresh
deployment back into a single-cloud override. Rewrite them: the base
URLs are optional deployment-wide overrides; normal dual-cloud operation
keeps them empty. Document the first-boot auto-relabel for deployments
migrating off the old single-cloud override, across the integration docs
(en/zh/ja/ko).

fix(clipboard): support copy over http:// via execCommand fallback (#3810)
navigator.clipboard is only exposed in a secure context (https or localhost). On self-hosted instances served over plain http:// it is undefined, so every copy / "copy all" / export button silently failed and left the clipboard empty (GitHub #3781). Add a shared copyText(text): Promise<boolean> helper in @multica/ui/lib/clipboard that prefers the async Clipboard API and falls back to a hidden <textarea> + document.execCommand('copy') for non-secure contexts. Migrate all direct navigator.clipboard.writeText call sites (code blocks, agent transcript copy-all, token / webhook / issue-link copy, etc.) to it, gating success side-effects on the returned boolean, and remove the now-redundant copyMarkdown wrapper. Secure-context users keep the native path unchanged. MUL-3068 Co-authored-by: J <j@multica.ai> Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> |

feat(agents): Integrations tab with Lark Bot bind entry + Lark Bot docs (MUL-2988) (#3751)
* feat(agents): add Integrations tab with Lark Bot bind entry The agent detail page now has an Integrations tab alongside the inspector's Integrations section. It reuses the shared LarkAgentBindButton so the scan-to-bind / already-connected logic stays single-sourced, and adds the not-configured / coming-soon / members-only states the sidebar has no room for. The tab only appears once the deployment has Lark configured. MUL-2988 Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * docs: add Lark Bot integration guide Covers binding a Multica agent to a Lark Bot (scan-to-install), using it (DM / @-mention / /issue), management, permissions, and self-host setup. Added in all four locales under the Integrations nav section. MUL-2988 Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(agents): show bound Lark state when install_supported is false install_supported governs only whether NEW scan-installs can complete; already-installed bots stay manageable when the transport is unwired (server/internal/handler/lark.go). LarkAgentBindButton checked the install_supported gate before the existing-installation check, so a bound agent on such a deployment showed 'coming soon' / nothing instead of 'Connected + Manage in Lark'. Reorder the guard (existing active install → badge, before the install_supported gate) and mirror it in the new Integrations tab. Adds regression tests for both surfaces. fix(lark): use named import for react-qr-code to survive electron-vite interop (#3718)
* fix(lark): use named import for react-qr-code to survive electron-vite interop
Clicking Bind on the agent detail page white-screened the desktop app at
the QR step:
Element type is invalid: expected a string or a class/function but got:
object. Check the render method of `LarkInstallDialog`.
react-qr-code is a CJS package. `import QRCode from "react-qr-code"`
relies on the bundler's __esModule default-interop to unwrap `.default`.
Next.js (web) unwraps it correctly; electron-vite's dep-optimizer handed
back the whole module namespace object `{ default, QRCode, __esModule }`
instead of the component, so React got an object where it expected a
component the moment <QRCode> mounted — desktop-only white screen, web
unaffected.
Switch to the named import `{ QRCode }`, which maps straight to
`exports.QRCode` and doesn't depend on the flaky default-interop path.
Resolves correctly under both bundlers; the package's own .d.ts exports
both the named class and the default, so it typechecks unchanged.
Not a backend / Lark-config issue — purely a frontend CJS interop bug.
* test(lark): expose named QRCode export in react-qr-code mock
Follow-up to the named-import switch in lark-tab. The test stubbed
react-qr-code with only a `default` export; now that the component
imports `{ QRCode }`, the named binding resolved to undefined and the
3 QR-rendering tests failed with "No QRCode export is defined on the
react-qr-code mock". Return the stub as both `QRCode` and `default`,
defined inside the factory (vi.mock is hoisted above top-level vars).

Lark Bot integration MVP: migration + service boundary (MUL-2671) (#3277)
* feat(db): add Lark integration migration (MUL-2671) Introduces seven tables for the 飞书 Bot integration MVP — per-agent PersonalAgent installations, user/chat bindings, inbound dedup + non-content drop audit, outbound card mapping, and short-lived single-use member binding tokens. Schema notes: - chat_session schema unchanged; Lark routes through a separate binding table rather than adding a metadata JSONB column. - Outbound card mapping is task/message scoped so multiple runs on the same session can't stomp each other's cards. - lark_inbound_audit stores routing / identity / drop_reason ONLY, never message body — the audit channel for unbound users and group messages that don't address the Bot. - app_secret stores ciphertext (encryption helper lands in a follow-up commit on this branch); DB never sees plaintext. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * feat(util): add secretbox AES-256-GCM helper for at-rest secrets First consumer is lark_installation.app_secret (MUL-2671 §4.4), but the helper is intentionally generic — future per-tenant secrets that must not appear in a DB dump can reuse it. Construction: AES-256-GCM with a per-message random nonce, providing authenticated encryption. Tampered ciphertext fails Open instead of silently decrypting to garbage. Master key loaded from a base64 env var via LoadKey; key rotation is not in scope yet. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * refactor(issues): extract IssueService.Create as single create entry (MUL-2671) Establishes the service-layer boundary mandated by Elon's 二审 of MUL-2671 §4.8: issue creation no longer lives inside the HTTP handler. Both the HTTP POST /issues handler and the future Lark /issue command call into service.IssueService.Create, so duplicate guard, issue numbering, attachment linking, broadcast, analytics, and agent/squad enqueue stay aligned. Handler responsibilities shrink to parsing the HTTP request, doing actor resolution / validation (transport-specific), and converting service results into the IssueResponse + 201. The transaction-wrapped core, attachment link, event publish, analytics capture, and agent/squad enqueue all move into service.IssueService.Create. A BroadcastPayload callback on the service keeps the WS broadcast shape (the full IssueResponse) without forcing the service to depend on handler-layer response types. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * feat(integrations): add Lark package skeleton (MUL-2671) Establishes the architectural boundaries Elon's 二审 mandated as first-PR blockers without dragging in OAuth, WebSocket, or card-patching code (those land in follow-up PRs): - ChatSessionService interface — channel-aware chat-session entry point for Lark, deliberately separate from the HTTP SendChatMessage handler. The HTTP handler's single-creator guard (creator_id == request user_id) is correct for the browser client but rejects group chat_sessions by construction; Lark needs its own service. - AuditLogger interface — the only path for recording dropped events. Its signature deliberately omits message body, enforcing the drop-audit policy (MUL-2671 §4.7) at the type level: unbound users and non-addressed group messages can't accidentally end up in chat_session. - Typed IDs (OpenID, ChatID) prevent UUIDs from being conflated with Lark-side identifiers at compile time. - DropReason constants align dashboard/audit queries across callers. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * refactor(issues): move parent/project workspace check into IssueService (MUL-2671) Parent existence and project workspace membership now live inside IssueService.Create, inside the same transaction as the duplicate guard and counter increment. The HTTP handler stops re-implementing the lookup; every future create entry (Lark /issue, MCP, API keys) inherits the same boundary without copy-pasting the SQL. Adds two error sentinels (ErrParentIssueNotFound, ErrProjectNotFound) so transports can translate to their own error shapes. Handler-level cross-workspace tests guard the boundary against future regressions. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(db): harden Lark migration safety底座 — TTL cap + workspace FK (MUL-2671) Two storage-layer hardenings that move the must-fix line off "the app layer enforces it" and onto the schema itself, so future write paths or hand-inserted rows cannot regress the invariants. 1) lark_binding_token TTL cap. The DB CHECK was 1 hour as defense-in-depth while the app constant was 15 minutes; the CHECK now matches the product cap (15 minutes). Application constant docstring updated to reflect that storage enforces the same bound. 2) lark_user_binding workspace membership. The table previously only FK'd to workspace / user / installation independently, so a binding could exist for a user no longer in the workspace, or claim a workspace different from its installation's. Two composite FKs close the gap structurally: * (installation_id, workspace_id) → lark_installation(id, workspace_id) — guarantees a binding's workspace_id always matches its installation's workspace_id. A new UNIQUE (id, workspace_id) on lark_installation is added as the FK target. * (workspace_id, multica_user_id) → member(workspace_id, user_id) with ON DELETE CASCADE — when a user is removed from the workspace, the binding cascades away in the same transaction. There is no longer a path where lark_user_binding outlives workspace membership. These two FKs are the schema-level proof for §4.3's "unbound or non-workspace members cannot leak content into chat_session" invariant. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * feat(integrations/lark): inbound services + /issue dispatcher (MUL-2671) Lands the inbound service layer for the Lark Bot MVP, sitting on top of the migration + service-boundary scaffold from the previous commits. What ships: - sqlc queries for all seven lark_* tables (idempotent dedup insert, CAS WS-lease, single-use binding-token consume, etc.) plus GetMostRecentUserChatMessage for the /issue fallback. - AuditLogger backed by lark_inbound_audit; signature deliberately body-free so callers cannot leak content into the drop log. - ChatSessionService: find-or-create chat_session via the binding table (winner-takes-all on the UNIQUE race), append-with-dedup, /issue parser, "previous user message" fallback for bare `/issue` invocation. - Dispatcher orchestrates the inbound pipeline in one place: installation routing → group-mention filter → identity check → ensure session → append+dedup → /issue → enqueue chat task. Group sessions use the installer as creator (stable workspace identity); p2p uses the sender. Agent-offline path falls through with OutcomeAgentOffline so the WS adapter can reply with the offline notice from §4.6. - BindingTokenService: random URL-safe token, SHA-256 stored hash, 15-min TTL pinned at the application AND the DB CHECK; Redeem returns the same opaque error for all rejection cases (no timing oracle on replay). - Unit tests for the parser (13 cases), dispatcher (8 cases via fake Queries/Chat/Audit/IssueCreator/Enqueuer), and binding-token hash/entropy. Real-DB integration tests for OAuth + token redeem land alongside the HTTP handlers in the next commit. Out of scope for this commit (next ones on the same feature branch): OAuth callback, HTTP routes, WebSocket hub, outbound card patcher, frontend. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * feat(integrations/lark): installation HTTP surface + secretbox-gated wiring (MUL-2671) Lands the HTTP boundary on top of the inbound services from the previous commit. What ships: - InstallationService.Upsert: the only path that writes lark_installation. Encrypts app_secret with the secretbox passed in at construction time; refuses to fall back to plaintext storage (returns an error from the constructor if no Box is supplied), so a misconfigured dev environment cannot accidentally land a row with cleartext credentials. Revoke flips status without DELETE so audit trail survives. - HTTP handlers under /api/workspaces/{id}/lark/: * GET /installations — member-visible (Integrations tab renders for non-admins). Soft 200 with empty list + configured:false when MULTICA_LARK_SECRET_KEY is unset, so the tab does not error on self-host that has not opted in. * POST /installations — admin-only; 503 when not configured. Re-validates agent_id ∈ workspace before accepting credentials so a cross-workspace agent UUID is rejected. * DELETE /installations/{id} — admin-only; workspace-scoped lookup so one workspace cannot revoke another's installation by UUID guess. - POST /api/lark/binding/redeem (user-scoped, no workspace context): the only path that mints a lark_user_binding row from user action. Redeemer identity comes from the session, not the token, so a stolen link cannot bind an open_id to an attacker's Multica user. The composite FK on lark_user_binding cascades the binding away if the user is not (or no longer) a workspace member, so a non-member who steals the link gets 403 at the DB layer. - Two new event-bus types in protocol.events: EventLarkInstallationCreated, EventLarkInstallationRevoked. - Router wiring: MULTICA_LARK_SECRET_KEY drives a conditional initialization of h.LarkInstallations + h.LarkBindingTokens. When unset, the integration disables itself with an INFO log and the rest of the server boots normally. - Handler tests cover all four not-configured short-circuits. Happy-path integration tests (real DB, full create→list→revoke cycle and token mint→redeem) ship alongside the WS hub PR. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(integrations/lark): close binding-token rebind & typed task errors (MUL-2671) Two must-fixes from PR review on HEAD |

i18n: add japanese locale (MUL-2893) (#3538)
* i18n: add japanese locale * fix: spacing issues * refactor * fix(desktop): set <html lang> before paint to avoid JA Kanji font flash Switch the documentElement.lang sync from useEffect to useLayoutEffect so lang is committed before the first paint. Otherwise Japanese desktop users saw one frame of Kanji rendered with the Chinese-first fallback stack before the html[lang|="ja"] CJK override applied. Also fix the stale selector in the HTML_LANG comment (html[lang^="ja"] -> html[lang|="ja"]). Addresses review nits on MUL-2893. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(docs): tokenize the ideographic iteration mark in JA search Add U+3005 (々) to the Japanese search tokenizer character class. It sits just below the kana blocks, so words like 様々 / 日々 / 個々 previously dropped the mark and split awkwardly, hurting recall. Addresses a review nit on MUL-2893. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(i18n): restore ja locale parity after merging main Merging main brought new EN strings into agents/chat/onboarding/settings/ squads that the ja bundle (authored against an older snapshot) lacked, breaking the locales parity test. Add the Japanese translations for the new keys (workspace logo upload, agents runtime filter, chat session-history stop dialog, onboarding social_github, squad archived status) and drop the two renamed chat window keys (active_group / archived_group) that EN removed in favour of history_group. feat(workspace): add per-workspace logo upload (#2760)
Adds avatar_url column to workspace, threads it through the API +
WorkspaceAvatar component, and adds a click-to-upload editor in the
workspace settings tab. Mirrors the squad avatar pattern (migration 086);
UI strings use "logo" while the schema/code uses avatar_url for codebase
consistency with user.avatar_url and squad.avatar_url.
- migration 093: ALTER TABLE workspace ADD COLUMN avatar_url TEXT
- UpdateWorkspace SQL + handler accept avatar_url (auth gated to
owner/admin at the router via RequireWorkspaceRoleFromURL)
- WorkspaceAvatar renders <img> when avatar_url is set, falls back to
the initial-letter span otherwise
- workspace-tab.tsx adds a 16x16 click-to-upload logo editor at the
top of the general settings card, using useFileUpload + accept=
image/png,image/jpeg,image/webp (server stores under workspaces/{id}/)
- en + zh-Hans settings i18n strings added

MUL-2746 fix(avatar): normalize relative avatar urls in desktop/web (#3100)
* fix(avatar): normalize relative avatar urls in desktop/web Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix: test Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(avatar): normalize avatar url in AvatarPicker preview MUL-2746. The picker is used by create-agent and create-squad, and also prefills from a template's `avatar_url` when duplicating an agent. The upload result / template URL is root-relative in local-storage setups, so on Desktop (file:// runtime) the preview <img> resolves against the local filesystem and the avatar fails to render. Route the value through `resolvePublicFileUrl` for rendering only; the stored URL stays raw so the parent's create call still posts what the backend expects. The bare "N" under the Repositories shortcut had no label and was

MUL-2488 feat(timezone): Scheduling / Viewing two-layer timezone architecture (#2968)
* docs(timezone): add scheduling/viewing timezone architecture RFC * feat(db): replace daily rollups with task_usage_hourly, add user.timezone Migrations 100-104: add "user".timezone (Viewing tz), build the UTC hourly task_usage_hourly rollup with its pipeline, drop the legacy task_usage_daily / task_usage_dashboard_daily pipelines, and drop the agent_runtime.timezone column. Report queries now slice day boundaries at read time by the caller-supplied @tz instead of materialising in a fixed tz. Regenerate sqlc. * feat(server): add task_usage_hourly backfill command Replace the two legacy backfill commands (daily / dashboard_daily) with a single backfill_task_usage_hourly that loads historical task_usage into the new UTC hourly rollup, sliced per workspace. * refactor(server): resolve viewing timezone in report handlers Report handlers resolve the Viewing tz per request (?tz query param, then user.timezone, then UTC) and pass it to the hourly-rollup queries. Drop the UseDailyRollup feature flags and the old raw-scan/daily-rollup dual paths, remove the /api/usage endpoints, and stop the daemon from reporting and the runtime handler from accepting host timezone. * refactor(core): switch report queries to viewing timezone API client and dashboard/runtime queries send ?tz with each report request, the user schema/types carry the new timezone field, and the runtime timezone field/mutation is removed. * feat(views): add viewing timezone preference and UI Add the useViewingTimezone hook and a Timezone setting in Preferences; report charts and the dashboard week boundary follow the viewer tz. Remove the runtime detail timezone editor and its locale strings. * fix(test): update fixtures and stabilize tests for timezone refactor The timezone architecture refactor changed several types without updating dependent test code: - RuntimeDevice no longer has a timezone field — drop it from the create-agent-dialog runtime fixture. - User now requires a timezone field — add it to the apps/web mockUser fixture. - The PreferencesTab timezone tests asserted on the async save handler (PATCH then store update) with a bare expect, racing the mutation's settle callback, and timed out querying the Select's ~600-option IANA list on a loaded CI runner. Wrap the assertions in waitFor and extend the timeout for those three tests. * docs(timezone): document self-host migration order and trigger invariant Add a SELF-HOST UPGRADE ORDER runbook to the backfill command's package comment: applying migrations 100-104 in a single migrate-up drops the legacy daily rollups before the hourly backfill runs, leaving dashboards empty until cron catches up. Add an INVARIANT comment on trg_atq_dirty_hourly noting that agent_id must be added to the trigger's OF list if it ever becomes mutable, otherwise dirty buckets for the old agent_id are silently missed. * style(runtimes): drop trailing blank line in runtime-detail |

feat(github): split canView / canManage in settings tab for read-only members (MUL-2413) (#2898)
Wires the frontend half of the read-only RFC. The Settings → GitHub tab now always issues the installation list query for any workspace member (the backend gates it via `RequireWorkspaceMember` after PR #2886) and gets `can_manage` straight from the API response. The render matrix covers the six cases the RFC calls out: - configured + connected + admin → Disconnect + (optional) Connected by - configured + connected + member → read-only "Connected to" + read_only_hint - configured + not connected + admin → Connect button + dev description - configured + not connected + member → contact_admin_to_connect hint - not configured + admin → operator banner + disabled Connect - not configured + member → contact_admin_to_connect hint New i18n keys (en + zh-Hans): read_only_hint, connected_by, contact_admin_to_connect. The unused github.manage_hint string is removed (its non-admin branch now resolves to one of the two new hints depending on connection state). GitHubInstallation gains an optional `connected_by` display name so the UI can render the "Connected by {name}" line without further changes once the backend exposes the field. feat(profile): user profile description injected into agent brief (MUL-2406)
## Summary Adds per-user `profile_description` so coding agents have cheap, durable context about who is asking. v1 per the brief Xeon locked in on [MUL-2406](mention://issue/63a7247c-4f6a-42cf-90d1-7c746e77158a): - **DB** — `user.profile_description TEXT NOT NULL DEFAULT ''` (migration 096). 2000-rune cap enforced server-side. No nullable / privacy state to manage. - **API** — `PATCH /api/me` accepts the field; `UserResponse` always emits it. Client wraps `updateMe` in a lenient `UserSchema` + `EMPTY_USER` fallback per CLAUDE.md API Response Compatibility. - **UI** — Settings → Account gains an "About you" textarea with live `n/2000` counter, `maxLength` guard, and a localized too-long error (EN + zh-Hans). - **CLI** — `multica user profile get` / `multica user profile update` with `--description / --description-stdin / --description-file / --clear`, mirroring the existing `issue comment add` input-mode menu. - **Daemon injection** — claim handler resolves the runtime owner and stamps `requesting_user_name` + `requesting_user_profile_description` on the task. `buildMetaSkillContent` emits `## Requesting User` between `## Agent Identity` and `## Available Commands`, blockquoted and framed as background context. The block is omitted entirely when the description is empty (no token cost when unused). Brief is written **once per task** via `CLAUDE.md` / `AGENTS.md`, not the per-turn prompt — same path the agent already reads for identity, so no extra per-turn cost. ## Test plan - [x] `go build ./...`, `go vet ./...`, `go test ./internal/cli/ ./internal/daemon/ ./internal/daemon/execenv/ ./cmd/multica/` - [x] New brief tests: `TestBuildMetaSkillContentEmitsRequestingUser`, `TestBuildMetaSkillContentOmitsRequestingUserWhenEmpty` - [x] `pnpm typecheck`, `pnpm lint`, `pnpm test` (74 files, 644 tests pass) - [ ] Handler DB tests (`TestUpdateMe*`) require a migrated test DB — not runnable in this sandbox - [ ] Manual: open Settings → Account, set a description, confirm the next daemon-run agent's `CLAUDE.md` shows `## Requesting User` |

feat(settings): allow editing workspace issue prefix (MUL-2369) (#2809)
* feat(settings): allow editing workspace issue prefix (MUL-2369) Workspace admins can now change the issue prefix from Settings → General. The change is gated by a confirmation dialog that warns about external references (PR titles, branch names, links) breaking, because issue identifiers are rendered as `prefix-N` on the fly — changing the prefix effectively renames every existing issue. Refs https://github.com/multica-ai/multica/issues/2797 Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(settings): invalidate issue cache when workspace prefix changes (MUL-2369) Issue identifiers (`MUL-123`) are recomputed from `workspace.issue_prefix` at read time, so cached issues kept showing the old `OLD-N` keys after a prefix change. Without invalidation the confirm dialog's "all issues will be renumbered" promise was broken until a hard refresh — and other tabs receiving the `workspace:updated` WS event saw the same drift. - WorkspaceTab: after a prefix-changing save, invalidate `issueKeys.all` in addition to the workspace list. Non-prefix saves stay cheap. - Realtime: split `workspace:updated` out of the generic `workspace` refresh into a specific handler that compares cached vs incoming `issue_prefix` and invalidates issues only when it actually changed. - Docs: align the "uppercase" language with the actual UI/backend rule (uppercase letters and digits, up to 10 chars). fix(views): surface backend error messages on mutation failures (MUL-2317) (#2772)
* fix(views): surface backend error messages on mutation failures (MUL-2317)
Mutation toasts across the views package were swallowing the backend
`error` string and showing only a generic i18n fallback. This made it
impossible for users to see why an operation failed (most visibly:
creating an issue with a duplicate title produced a vague "Failed to
create issue" toast).
The fix has three pieces:
1. Create-issue duplicate branch (A段)
- New schema `DuplicateIssueErrorBodySchema` in core/api/schemas.ts.
- `create-issue.tsx` parses `ApiError.body` via `parseWithFallback`
and renders a dedicated amber-toned toast with a "view existing"
link when the server returns `{ code: "active_duplicate_issue",
issue: {...} }`. Schema drift downgrades to the normal error toast.
- Schema intentionally omits `issue.status` so the toast does not
depend on `StatusIcon`, which has no fallback for unknown enums.
2. User-facing mutation failure toasts (B段)
- 47 sites converted to `err instanceof Error && err.message ?
err.message : <existing fallback>` — preserves all existing
code-specific branches (slug conflict, agent_unavailable,
daemon_version_unsupported) and i18n keys.
- Covers Type 1 (onError) and Type 2 (catch block) patterns across
issues, projects, autopilots, inbox, runtimes, squads, comments,
batch actions, workspace create, and agent config tabs.
3. Autopilot partial-success (Type 3)
- New i18n keys `toast_create_partial_with_reason` /
`toast_update_partial_with_reason` (double-brace `{{reason}}`).
- `autopilot-dialog.tsx` captures `err.message` in the schedule
`catch` and routes to the `_with_reason` variant when present,
preserving the partial-success semantic (autopilot saved, schedule
failed) while exposing the actual reason.
Explicitly out of scope:
- `packages/core/` mutation hooks (no global onError, no UI dependency)
- No `toastApiError` helper (matches existing 14+ correct sites)
- Sub-issue link aggregate `Promise.allSettled` keeps count-based toast
(N independent requests cannot collapse to one err.message); only
added a dev-side `console.error` per rejection.
- Clipboard catches and `useUpdateChatSession` (not API mutation toasts)
Tests:
- `packages/core/api/schemas.test.ts` — schema contract (valid body,
forward-compat fields, rename rejection, missing issue, wrong types).
- `packages/views/modals/create-issue.test.tsx` — duplicate toast +
view link, schema-drift fallback, err.message surfacing, non-Error
fallback (4 new cases).
- `packages/views/autopilots/components/autopilot-dialog-i18n.test.ts`
— real i18next, asserts rendered text contains the reason verbatim
(guards against `{reason}` vs `{{reason}}` regression).

* fix(autopilots): unify rotate-token catch + cover dialog partial-success render
Address reviewer feedback on PR #2772:
1. webhook-token rotate (`autopilot-detail-page.tsx`) now follows the
`err.message ?? fallback` ternary used by the sibling trigger
delete/add paths, instead of swallowing the error.
2. Extract `formatSchedulePartialFailureToast` so the dialog's
partial-success branches and the i18n test exercise the same
helper. The test now drives the actual format function, so a
variable-name typo at the call site (e.g. `{ msg }` instead of
`{ reason }`) fails the substring assertion.

Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>
* test(modals): drop user.type for title in success path to dodge CI 5s timeout
The success-path test typed the 42-character title via userEvent which
triggers a controlled re-render per keystroke. On the slower CI runner
the whole test crept up to ~5s and intermittently tripped the default
vitest timeout. Setting the value in one shot via fireEvent.change cuts
the cost while leaving the submit + toast interactions on userEvent.

fix(repos): accept scp shorthand in repo URL inputs (MUL-2250) (#2661)
Backend now validates http/https/ssh/git scheme plus scp-like `git@host:owner/repo.git` shorthand, but three repo URL inputs were still `type="url"`. The browser's native URL validation rejected scp shorthand with "Please enter a URL" before the value could reach the backend. - Switch the three inputs to `type="text"` so submission isn't blocked client-side (project resources picker, workspace repositories tab, create-project repo picker). - Extend the en/zh placeholders to show a scp shorthand example alongside the existing https one. - Add a repositories-tab test that types `git@github.com:...` and asserts the input is text-type, passes native validity, and reaches the update mutation. * feat(settings): view/edit toggle for repositories tab Saved repos render as static rows (truncated, monospace) with hover/focus-revealed Edit + Delete affordances. Clicking Edit flips to the existing Input; on successful Save the row returns to display mode. Resolves user feedback that the always-visible input made saved state ambiguous (MUL-2217). - Track editingIndices with a Set; new rows auto-enter edit mode; deleting a row remaps indices so the wrong row never opens. - Touch devices and focus-within keep the action buttons reachable. - New i18n keys in en + zh-Hans (saved_hint, empty, edit/delete_aria, url_empty). Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(settings): add Cancel affordance to exit clean edit mode Clicking Edit on a clean saved row opened the row in edit mode with no way back to display mode unless the user changed the URL and saved, re-introducing the original saved-state ambiguity after an accidental click. refactor(integrations): drop installation list from Settings tab (#2468)
The card displayed a per-installation row (avatar + account_login + "User|Organization · connected <date>") plus a disconnect button. In practice the title regularly fell back to "unknown" because the server's fetchInstallationAccount call doesn't sign App JWT, and the account-level framing also leaked GitHub's data model into the UX — users care about which repos are wired up, not which GitHub account the App is installed on. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(github): address review — null actor, role gating, configured guard, scoped uninstall broadcast - listeners: use optionalUUID(e.ActorID) so the system actor on the github-driven issue:updated event no longer panics activity / notification listeners; merged-PR → issue done now produces a status_changed activity and inbox entry. - IntegrationsTab: gate the admin-only installations query on canManage so members no longer hit /github/installations 403; the configured/not-configured copy is also scoped to admins. - backend: introduce isGitHubConfigured() requiring both GITHUB_APP_SLUG and GITHUB_WEBHOOK_SECRET, and surface that single flag from list-installations + connect endpoints so the frontend Connect button stays disabled until both are set. - DeleteGitHubInstallationByInstallationID now RETURNs workspace_id; webhook handler publishes github_installation:deleted scoped to the right workspace so already-open Settings tabs invalidate in real time. ErrNoRows on a re-fired delete short-circuits cleanly. - tests: focused webhook integration coverage (auto-link + merge → done, cancelled preservation, uninstall returns workspace). Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(github): i18n the new GitHub UI strings to satisfy lint CI flagged every literal string in the Integrations tab, the Pull requests sidebar section, and the per-PR row label. Move them through useT() and add the matching `integrations.*` block to settings.json (en / zh-Hans) plus `detail.section_pull_requests` / `detail.pull_request_state_*` / loading + empty copy under `issues.json`. fix(views): guard IME composition on Enter-to-submit handlers (#2207)
* fix(views): guard IME composition on Enter-to-submit handlers Chinese/Japanese/Korean IMEs use Enter to commit a multi-key composition. When that Enter also triggers a submit/create handler, the form fires before the user has finished typing. Add a shared `isImeComposing` predicate in @multica/core/utils that checks both `nativeEvent.isComposing` and `keyCode === 229` (Safari clears isComposing on the commit keydown but keyCode stays 229). Apply the guard to every Enter→action handler in packages/views where the input can hold IME text: workspace name, agent name/description, skill name, label name/edit, mention suggestion picker, property picker search, delete-workspace typed confirmation. Tiptap submit-shortcut already guards via `view.composing`; left as is. Skipped numeric/email/URL/file-path inputs where IME does not apply. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * style(agents): align Escape handling with early return in inspector Three onKeyDown handlers in agent-detail-inspector.tsx now follow the same shape as labels-panel: handle Escape with an explicit return, then the IME guard, then Enter submit. feat(notifications): add system notifications toggle in settings (#2132)
* feat(notifications): add system notifications toggle in settings Add a per-user, per-workspace toggle to enable/disable native OS notification banners. Reuses the existing notification-preferences endpoint by introducing a `system_notifications` key alongside the inbox event groups; the realtime handler reads the cached preference and skips desktopAPI.showNotification when muted. Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai> * fix(notifications): fetch system_notifications pref lazily Settings is the only mounted reader of notificationPreferenceOptions, so a fresh app start (or any session that never visits Settings) left the cache empty and the muted preference silently fell back to default "all". Switch the inbox:new handler to ensureQueryData so the value is fetched on first use and cached for subsequent events. feat(settings): rename Appearance tab to Preferences and persist active tab in URL (#2131)
- Rename appearance-tab → preferences-tab; AppearanceTab → PreferencesTab - i18n top-level key appearance → preferences; tab label "Appearance" → "Preferences" / "偏好设置" - Swap icon Palette → SlidersHorizontal (preferences semantic) - SettingsPage: read active tab from ?tab= via NavigationAdapter, write back with replace() on change; whitelist valid tabs (incl. desktop extras daemon/updates), unknown values fall back to profile - Update conventions.mdx (en + zh) references to renamed file and i18n key Why preferences over appearance: the tab held both theme and language; "Appearance" semantically excludes localization. "Preferences" follows Linear/Slack/Discord and leaves room to add timezone/date format later. Why query param over path: settings tabs are UI modifier state, not resources; query persistence keeps the existing single Next.js route file and desktop memory router unchanged, gives a natural fallback for unknown values, and avoids 404 risk. feat(i18n): full rollout — 21 namespaces translated (en + zh-Hans) (#1853)
* feat(i18n): rollout phase — translate 9 namespaces (WIP)
Phase 1 complete (基建 + login + Settings language switcher),
phase 2 partial (Wave 4 done, search done). Pending namespaces
documented inline; another developer can pick up from here.
Infrastructure
--------------
- server: add users.language column + extend PATCH /api/me
(TestUpdateMeAcceptsLanguage / TestUpdateMePreservesLanguage)
- packages/core/i18n: types / pickLocale (intl-localematcher) /
browser-cookie-adapter / createI18n (initAsync false +
useSuspense false) / I18nProvider / LocaleAdapterProvider
- Split server-safe vs React entries:
@multica/core/i18n — for proxy/RSC/middleware (no React)
@multica/core/i18n/react — for client trees (createContext)
(RSC vendored React lacks createContext; mixed import would crash
proxy.ts at module load.)
- packages/views/i18n: useT hook + selector API augmentation
(i18next v26 default; auto-propagates to apps via the side-effect
import in use-t.ts).
- apps/web: proxy.ts (Next 16 renamed middleware) merges existing
legacy/root redirects with x-multica-locale header forwarding;
layout.tsx reads locale via headers() and pre-loads RSC resources.
- apps/desktop: webPreferences.additionalArguments injects
systemLocale (no sendSync — avoids main-thread blocking IPC);
renderer adapter reads via process.argv.
- ESLint: i18next/no-literal-string at file-scope for translated
files via packages/views/eslint.config.mjs TRANSLATED_FILES.
- glossary.md (packages/views/locales/) freezes term policy:
Issue / Workspace / Agent / Skill / Autopilot / Daemon / Runtime
stay English; Inbox / Project / Comment / Member translate.
Translated namespaces (9 / 19)
------------------------------
- auth: login page (web wrapper含 desktop-handoff 文案) + Settings
Appearance language switcher
- editor: 9 .tsx (bubble-menu / link-hover-card / readonly-content /
title-editor / extensions: code-block / file-card / image-view /
mention-suggestion) + 32 keys
- invite: 25 keys
- labels / members / my-issues: Wave 4 全部
- search: command palette 35 keys
- navigation: no user-facing strings (no-op)
Pending (10 / 19)
-----------------
issues (46 files / ~210 keys)
agents (29 files / ~155 keys; presence.ts + config.ts label maps
允许进 i18n)
onboarding (22 files / ~150 keys)
settings rest / skills / modals / workspace / chat / inbox /
projects / autopilots / layout
Workflow for picking up
-----------------------
- Glossary: packages/views/locales/glossary.md (mandatory read)
- Reference impls: auth/login-page.tsx + editor/* (selector API +
i18n-provider test wrapper pattern)
- Per namespace:
1. create locales/{en,zh-Hans}/{ns}.json
2. add to packages/views/i18n/resources-types.ts
3. useT('{ns}') + t($ => $.foo) in components
4. add files to TRANSLATED_FILES in eslint.config.mjs
5. typecheck + test + lint must pass
- Subagents currently CANNOT write files (sandbox deny). Run as
hybrid: subagent researches + outputs full JSON + tsx diff,
controller writes.
Other
-----
- scripts/init-worktree-env.sh: default
MULTICA_DEV_VERIFICATION_CODE=888888 in dev for deterministic
login (gated by isProductionEnv).
Verified: pnpm typecheck (6 pkgs ok), pnpm test (232 pass),
make test (Go).

* docs(i18n): rewrite glossary aligned with docs zh voice
Switch translation policy to match the canonical CN voice already
established in apps/docs/content/docs/*.zh.mdx (20+ files). The new
rule splits product nouns into two classes:
- Typed entities (issue / project / skill / autopilot / task) — kept as
lowercase English in CN text, visually marking them as system types.
- Concepts (workspace / agent / daemon / runtime / inbox) — fully
translated (工作区 / 智能体 / 守护进程 / 运行时 / 收件箱).
Previous glossary kept Workspace / Agent / Daemon / Runtime as English
on "工程惯例" grounds, but docs zh and CN AI ecosystem (Coze / 腾讯元器
/ 百度) consistently translate these. App UI now matches docs voice so
users don't see split personality between the app and its own docs.

* fix(i18n): register 6 namespaces and retrofit zh strings to new glossary
Two fixes that were blocking the previously-translated namespaces from
actually rendering in CN:
1. RESOURCES gap — locales/index.ts only loaded common/auth/settings,
but resources-types.ts declared 12 namespaces and 6 of them had real
translation content. At runtime i18next would fall back to raw keys
for editor / invite / labels / members / my-issues / search.
Register all 9 currently-translated namespaces.
2. Retrofit zh strings to the docs-aligned glossary:
- "Issue" → "issue" (lowercase entity)
- "Workspace" → "工作区"
- "Agent" → "智能体"
- "Runtime" → "运行时"
- "Skill" → "skill" (lowercase)
- "项目" → "project" (lowercase)
Touched: editor.json (sub_issue + mention.group_issues), invite.json
(3 Workspace occurrences), members.json (agents_section / more_agents),
my-issues.json (8 retrofits across page/header/errors), search.json
(13 retrofits across groups/pages/commands/empty).
Verified: pnpm typecheck (6/6) + pnpm test (238/238) all green.

* feat(i18n): translate inbox namespace
First namespace through the sub-agent → main-agent integration pipeline.
JSON: en/inbox.json + zh-Hans/inbox.json — 60 keys across page / menu /
list / detail / types / labels / errors. Time-formatter labels are kept
compact in EN ("5m" / "3h" / "2d") and use full units in zh ("5 分钟" /
"5 小时" / "5 天") since raw "5 分" reads as "5 marks/points" in CN.
Component changes converted two module-level statics into hooks so the
strings can flow through i18next:
- inbox-list-item.tsx: `timeAgo` (pure fn) → `useTimeAgo` (hook
returning a fn). The local copy is a duplicate of @multica/core/utils
`timeAgo` that is only used by inbox-page; other consumers across
chat/agents/skills/issues stay on the core util for now and will be
translated when their namespaces land.
- inbox-detail-label.tsx: `typeLabels` (static const Record) →
`useTypeLabels` (hook returning the same Record shape). Call sites
keep the existing `typeLabels[type]` access pattern.
inbox-page.tsx now uses both hooks and `useT('inbox')` selector calls
for all hardcoded strings (~24 sites: header / dropdown menu / list
empty state / detail panel / mobile back / quick-create-failed flow /
all error toasts).
Wired up: resources-types.ts, locales/index.ts RESOURCES, ESLint
TRANSLATED_FILES (3 inbox tsx files now lint-protected).
Verified: pnpm typecheck (6/6) + pnpm --filter @multica/views test
(238/238) + ESLint clean on inbox/.

* feat(i18n): translate workspace namespace
Translates the three workspace shell views: create-workspace-form,
new-workspace-page, no-access-page. Also fixes the prior-art
no-unescaped-entities lint errors in no-access-page.tsx — the
apostrophes in "doesn't" / "don't" were JSX text literals that move
into JSON values after translation, so the lint rule no longer fires.
Tests wrapped: workspace/create-workspace-form.test.tsx,
workspace/no-access-page.test.tsx, modals/create-workspace.test.tsx
all now wrap render() with <I18nProvider locale="en"> so the en values
in workspace.json drive the rendered text and the existing assertions
continue to match.
Slug constants kept: WORKSPACE_SLUG_FORMAT_ERROR /
WORKSPACE_SLUG_CONFLICT_ERROR exports in workspace/slug.ts are still
imported by onboarding/steps/step-workspace.tsx (out of scope here).
The workspace shell now reads its strings from workspace.json directly.
Multica.ai brand prefix in the slug input affordance is wrapped with
an inline `// eslint-disable-next-line i18next/no-literal-string` per
glossary policy on brand names.
Renamed sign_in_other → sign_in_different to avoid colliding with
i18next's `_other` plural-suffix convention which the selector-API
typings treated as a plural form of `sign_in`.

* feat(i18n): translate projects namespace
Translates the projects list page, project detail page, project picker
dropdown, and project chip — all four user-facing surfaces under
packages/views/projects/components/.
New file: projects/components/labels.ts exposes three hooks that
replace the static `.label` field on PROJECT_STATUS_CONFIG /
PROJECT_PRIORITY_CONFIG and the previous module-level
`formatRelativeDate` helper. Core's `.label` stays untouched (it's
still consumed by search and the create-project modal, both
out-of-scope for this namespace) — those will flip when their
respective namespaces translate.
In zh, the "project" entity stays lowercase English per glossary
(`新建 project`, `还没有 project`, `从 project 移除`). Status / priority /
table column labels translate fully.
The cancelled / done / paused etc. status labels duplicate per-
namespace as `projects.status.*` rather than reading from a future
shared status namespace. This matches the auth/inbox/workspace
pattern of self-contained namespaces. If a generic "issue/project
status" pool emerges later, these can collapse.
Verified: pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck (clean) +
test (238/238) + ESLint clean on projects/ (1 pre-existing warning
about useEffect/sidebarRef dep, unrelated to i18n).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* feat(i18n): translate autopilots namespace
Six tsx files: autopilots-page (list + 6 templates), autopilot-detail-page
(properties / triggers / run history / delete), autopilot-dialog
(create + edit dialog), trigger-config (cron form), and the agent /
timezone pickers.
Hook conversions for module-level helpers that need t():
- summarizeTrigger / describeTrigger → useSummarizeTrigger /
useDescribeTrigger (no external callers, removed the plain exports)
- formatRelativeDate → useFormatRelativeDate (per-component hook)
- formatCountdown → useFormatCountdown (per-component hook)
- TEMPLATES array now keyed by id; titles + summaries pull from
templates/{id}/{title,summary} JSON. Prompts stay raw EN since
they're injected directly into the agent task — translating them
would translate the agent's instructions, not the user's UI.
Status / execution-mode / run-status enums render via t($ => $.status[k])
with k typed against the core type (no separate hook needed).
Verified: pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck (clean) +
test (238/238) + ESLint clean on autopilots/.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* feat(i18n): translate skills namespace
Seven tsx files: skills-page (list + filters + intro banner),
skill-detail-page (the giant — properties + file tree + sidebar +
conflict banner + delete dialog, ~963 lines), create-skill-dialog
(chooser + manual + URL forms), runtime-local-skill-import-panel
(local runtime browse + import), skill-columns, file-tree, file-viewer.
Notable patterns:
- `createSkillColumns` factory → `useSkillColumns` hook so column
headers flow through useT. Column identity changes per render is
fine — DataTable handles it.
- `validateNewFilePath` (pure helper) → `useValidateNewFilePath` hook
so the 5 validation error messages can be translated.
- skill_files / used_by / description_with_agents use i18next plural
keys (`_one` / `_other`) — the type system collapses these into a
single PluralValue access, so call sites use
`t($ => $.foo, { count })` and i18next picks the form.
- Per glossary, "skill" stays lowercase EN in zh ("新建 skill",
"已删除 skill", "未找到该 skill").
Test wrapper: runtime-local-skill-import-panel.test.tsx now wraps
render() with <I18nProvider> so the assertion on /Import to Workspace/i
matches the EN translation.
Verified: pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck (clean) +
test (238/238) + ESLint clean on skills/.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* feat(i18n): translate chat namespace
Translates all 10 chat surfaces: FAB tooltip, input placeholders,
message list (replied-in / failed-after / tools group / show-details
/ tool result preview), session history (header + time-ago labels),
chat window (new-chat / restore / expand / minimize / agent + session
dropdowns / starter prompts / empty states), context-anchor button +
card tooltips, no-agent banner, offline / unstable banner, and the
task-status pill (queued / starting up / thinking / typing + tool
labels: running command / reading files / searching code / making
edits / searching web).
Hook conversions:
- formatTimeAgo (chat-session-history) → useFormatTimeAgo
- ElapsedCaption now takes a typed `variant` ("replied" | "failed")
instead of a free-text `verb` so the i18n key is enumerable
- pickStage (task-status-pill) refactored: pure pickStageKeys returns
StageKey + optional ToolKey; useResolveStage maps to localized labels
Translation policy notes:
- Starter prompts ("List my open tasks by priority", etc.) are user
UI when displayed AND the user's input when clicked — translating
them sends the agent the user's locale-native phrasing, which is
the right UX for a CN user using a CN agent.
- buildAnchorMarkdown (chat-window) stays in English: it's an
agent-bound markdown prefix injected into the outgoing message,
not user-facing UI.
Verified: pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck (clean) +
test (238/238).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* feat(i18n): translate modals namespace
Translates all 11 modal sources: registry (no UI text), backlog-agent-hint,
set-parent-issue, add-child-issue, delete-issue-confirm, feedback,
issue-picker, create-workspace, create-project, create-issue (manual),
quick-create-issue (agent panel).
Notable patterns:
- create-project re-uses useProjectStatusLabels / useProjectPriorityLabels
hooks from views/projects/components/labels — same translation source
as the projects list / detail, no duplication.
- create-issue.tsx: renamed `toast.custom((t) => ...)` callback param to
`toastId` to avoid shadowing the closure-captured useT() `t` function.
- Test wrapper added to modals/create-issue.test.tsx so the two assertions
on rendered modal text (success toast + Create another) match the EN
bundle. modals/create-workspace.test.tsx was already wrapped (workspace
ns commit).
Verified: pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck (clean) +
test (238/238).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* feat(i18n): translate settings namespace (rest of tabs)
Builds on the appearance-tab + language switcher already shipped in
Phase 0. Translates the remaining 8 settings surfaces: settings-page
shell (left nav + tab keys), account / profile, notifications-tab
(5 group labels + descriptions), tokens-tab (create / list /
revoke / created dialog), workspace-tab (general fields + danger
zone + leave/delete confirmations), members-tab (invite + role
config + revoke / remove flows), repositories-tab, labs-tab,
delete-workspace-dialog.
Hook conversion: members-tab `roleConfig` static const → `useRoleLabels`
hook returning a Record<MemberRole, {label, description, icon}>. The
icon stays as a typed React component (Crown / Shield / User), so
rendering pattern is unchanged at call sites.
Test wrapper: settings/components/delete-workspace-dialog.test.tsx
now wraps render() with <I18nProvider> (custom render() helper)
because the test asserts on rendered button labels ("Delete workspace",
"Cancel", "Deleting...").
Verified: pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck (clean) +
test (238/238).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* feat(i18n): translate runtimes namespace (entry surfaces)
Translates the user-facing runtime list page surfaces:
runtimes-page (header / search / filters / chips / empty / no-matches /
bootstrapping), runtime-detail (topbar + delete dialog + delete toasts),
runtime-detail-page (not-found state), shared.tsx (4-state HealthBadge
labels).
Hook conversion: shared `healthLabel(health)` was a pure module-level
function. Added `useHealthLabel` hook for translated call sites; kept
`healthLabel` as an EN-only fallback for non-component callers (column
factory in runtime-columns).
Deferred:
- runtime-list / runtime-columns (data table column headers + cell
bodies) — large surface, not in the page-load critical path.
- connect-remote-dialog / update-section / usage-section — secondary
flows, English remains acceptable until a focused pass.
- charts/* — primarily numeric tooltips and axes; minimal user-visible
text.
Verified: pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck (clean) +
test (238/238).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* feat(i18n): translate layout namespace (sidebar nav, help, loader)
Translates the cross-cutting layout chrome:
- 9 sidebar nav labels (inbox / my issues / issues / projects /
autopilots / agents / runtimes / skills / settings) — driven by
labelKey instead of inline strings, resolved via useT at render.
- HelpLauncher dropdown (trigger aria + 3 items: Docs / Change log
/ Feedback)
- WorkspaceLoader (named + unnamed loading states)
- SortablePinItem unpin tooltip
Pattern shift in app-sidebar.tsx: nav arrays carry `labelKey: NavLabelKey`
(typed against the layout JSON) instead of `label: string`. The string
comparison checks (`item.label === "Inbox"`) became cleaner ID-based
checks (`item.key === "inbox"`).
Deferred: deeper sidebar surfaces — workspace switcher dropdown,
"New Issue" CTA, "Pinned" / "Workspace" / "Configure" group labels —
remain English. The 9 nav labels are the ones that read in every
session.
Verified: pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck (clean) +
test (238/238).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* feat(i18n): translate onboarding namespace (welcome + step header)
Translates the user-first-impression surfaces of the onboarding flow:
- step-welcome.tsx (the wordmark, headline, lede paragraphs, all CTAs:
Download Desktop / Continue on web / Start exploring / I've done
this before, illustration caption)
- step-header.tsx ("Step N of M" counter + matching aria-label)
- onboarding-flow.tsx (skip-onboarding error toast)
Test wrapper added to onboarding/components/step-header.test.tsx —
custom render() helper wraps with <I18nProvider> so the "Step 2 of 5"
assertions match the EN bundle.
Deferred (acceptable English fallback for now): step-questionnaire,
step-workspace, step-runtime-connect, step-platform-fork, step-agent,
step-first-issue, cli-install-instructions, option-card, runtime
aside panels, starter-content-prompt, cloud-waitlist-expand. These
are deeper steps with significant copy that would benefit from a
focused dedicated pass — voice on each is more nuanced (questionnaire
options, runtime install instructions, agent template recommendations).
Verified: pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck (clean) +
test (238/238).

* test(i18n): add EN/zh-Hans key parity guard
Schema-level vitest that walks RESOURCES.en and RESOURCES["zh-Hans"]
namespace by namespace and asserts both bundles cover the same key
set. i18next plural rule is normalized before compare (`_one` /
`_other` collapse to a single logical key) so EN's plural pair
matches zh's `_other`-only form.
Catches retrofit drift where a new EN key lands without zh —
previously this would silently fall back to the English string in
production. Cheap to keep green: 39 tests across 21 namespaces in
under a second.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* feat(i18n): translate issues namespace
Translates the entire issues surface — list / board / detail / comments /
sub-issues / activity feed / batch toolbar / pickers / context menu /
backlog-agent hint dialog / labels panel.
Component coverage:
- issues-page (page header, empty state, move-failed toast)
- issues-header (scope tabs, filter dropdowns w/ status/priority/
assignee/creator/project/label, display settings, sort, view toggle)
- issue-detail (page header, breadcrumb, properties / parent issue /
details / token usage sections, sub-issues, activity timeline,
formatActivity for status/priority/assignee/title/due-date changes,
subscribe/subscriber popover)
- comment-card + comment-input + reply-input (delete dialog, edit/save,
copy/edit/delete row, reply count, placeholders, expand/collapse)
- agent-live-card (is-working banner, tool count, stop / transcript)
- execution-log-section (section header, show/hide past runs, trigger
text builder, status labels, cancel-task)
- batch-action-toolbar (selected count, delete dialog with plurals)
- backlog-agent-hint-dialog (full dialog content)
- labels-panel (intro, create form, list, delete dialog)
- pickers (status / priority / assignee / due-date / label / property
search placeholder + no-results)
- issue-actions-menu-items (all dropdown / context menu items)
- use-issue-actions / use-issue-timeline (toast strings)
STATUS_CONFIG / PRIORITY_CONFIG label rendering routed through
$.status[enum] / $.priority[enum] at every call site; the core config
keeps its English fallback for non-i18n consumers but UI never reads
.label directly anymore.
Tests retrofitted: issues-page, issue-detail, and issue-actions-menu
RTL specs now wrap renders in <I18nProvider> with the EN bundle, so
their string assertions match the bundle (not hardcoded literals).
ESLint i18next allow-list extended to 24 issues files. Verified:
pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck + test (277/277) all green.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* feat(i18n): translate agents namespace
Translates the agents listing + detail surface and the create/duplicate
flow. Covers the high-frequency surfaces; deeper sub-tab editors
(activity / instructions / skills / env / custom-args bodies, and the
hooks-buggy runtime/model/concurrency pickers) are deferred — they
have their own pre-existing react-hooks rule violations and benefit
from a focused dedicated pass.
Component coverage:
- agents-page (page header w/ tagline + new button, scope segment,
search, sort dropdown, availability chips, archived toolbar, empty
state, no-matches messaging w/ search interpolation, list-load
error)
- agent-detail-page (back link, archived banner, archive dialog,
not-found state, all 4 toast strings)
- agent-detail-inspector (avatar editor, name + description popover,
description dialog, every PropRow label, validation message,
presence badge label sourced from $.availability[enum])
- agent-overview-pane (tab labels, discard-unsaved-changes dialog)
- create-agent-dialog (title / description / labels / placeholders /
duplicate-suffix / runtime filter buttons / runtime status copy)
- agent-row-actions (full dropdown items + cancel-tasks dialog with
pluralized "N running + M queued" summary + archive dialog + 6 toasts)
- agent-columns (every header cell, You / Archived chips, runtime
fallback labels, availability + workload labels via $.availability /
$.workload, activity tooltip body w/ created_today / created_days_ago
/ runs / failed-percent interpolation)
- inspector/skill-attach (Attach trigger label + aria)
availabilityConfig and workloadConfig now keep colors only — the
display label lives in the bundle, sourced via $.availability[enum]
and $.workload[enum] at every call site. Same pattern as
STATUS_CONFIG/PRIORITY_CONFIG in the issues namespace.
ESLint i18next allow-list extended to 8 agents files.
Verified: pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck + test (277/277)
all green.

* fix(i18n): clear 30 stray EN strings in translated files
Tail of literal strings missed in earlier passes — the ESLint i18next
allow-list flagged them but they slipped through review. Files touched:
- layout/app-sidebar.tsx (10 keys: Workspaces / Pending invitations /
Create workspace / Join / Decline / Log out / New Issue + shortcut /
Pinned / Workspace / Configure)
- runtimes/components/runtime-detail.tsx (Serving header + serving_count
pluralization, no_agents copy, running/queued chips with count
interpolation, Diagnostics header, CLI label, Delete runtime button,
Technical details toggle, last seen interpolation)
- onboarding/steps/step-welcome.tsx (entire WelcomeIllustration mock —
5 cards × actor names + body copy + 3 mention chips + 2 timestamps;
zh translation reads naturally instead of leaving the demo English)
- settings/components/labs-tab.tsx (`Co-authored-by: ...` git trailer
wrapped in {} so linter sees a JS string, not JSX text — magic
identifier git relies on, must not translate)
- settings/components/members-tab.tsx (✓ glyph wrapped in {})
- modals/feedback.tsx (⌘↵ shortcut wrapped in {})
ServingAgentsCard now reads availability/workload labels from
`agents` namespace (cross-namespace useT) so the bundle-truth pattern
holds: presenceConfig keeps colours only, label text comes from the
shared bundle.
Verified: typecheck + 277/277 tests + lint (only the pre-existing
react-hooks rule-of-hooks errors remain, which task #6 addresses).

* fix(agents): rules-of-hooks + translate 4 model/runtime pickers
Three pre-existing react-hooks/rules-of-hooks violations + one missing
useMemo dep cleared, then the four pickers wired through useT.
Hook order fixes:
- concurrency-picker: useEffect now runs before the !canEdit early
return. Stale-draft reset still works the same way.
- runtime-picker: useMemo for the filtered list moved above the
!canEdit branch.
- model-dropdown: `models = data?.models ?? []` was minting a fresh
array each render and tripping the deps lint of the downstream
useMemo. Wrap in useMemo so the reference is stable.
Translation coverage:
- concurrency-picker: tooltip ("Concurrency · N max..."), range
helper text, Save button.
- runtime-picker: trigger label fallback ("No runtime"), tooltip
text composed from {{name}} + status, Mine/All filter buttons,
empty-list copy, "owned by {{name}}" + status fragments in row
tooltip, Cloud badge, online/offline aria.
- model-picker: trigger label, tooltip, "Managed by runtime"
fallback, search placeholder, "Discovering models…", default
badge, "No models available", "Use \"X\"" custom-id flow, Clear
button + its title.
- model-dropdown: every label string including the "Select a runtime
first" / "Default (provider)" / "Runtime offline — enter manually"
trigger fallbacks, the supported=false explanation block, discovery
failed badge, all popover items.
ESLint allow-list extended to 4 picker files. Verified: typecheck +
277/277 tests + lint (0 errors, only pre-existing react-hooks warnings
in unrelated files).

* feat(i18n): translate runtimes list + connect dialog + CLI updater
Three deep runtime surfaces wired through useT, with the agents
namespace doing double duty for shared availability/workload labels.
runtime-columns:
- 7 column headers via t-augmented createRuntimeColumns({ t }).
- HealthCell now reads from useHealthLabel() (already translation-aware)
instead of the EN-only healthLabel() helper.
- WorkloadCell sources the label from $.workload[enum] (cross-namespace
to agents) — colour stays via workloadConfig.
- CostCell delta "flat" copy + CLI cell "Desktop" badge + update-
available aria/tooltip + RowMenu's full delete dialog (title /
description with {{name}} interpolation / cancel / confirm /
deleting state) plus its admin-permission hint.
connect-remote-dialog:
- Three steps fully translated: instructions (header + 4 numbered
steps + security warning + troubleshooting list with mono code
snippets escaped as JS strings), waiting (loader + hint), success
(CTA pair).
- Mono CLI commands wrapped in {} so linter sees JS strings — those
are literal commands that must stay untranslated for the user to
paste into a terminal.
update-section:
- statusConfig collapsed to icon+colour only; labels move to
$.update.status[enum] for proper translation per-state.
- "CLI Version:" / "Latest" / "available" / "Update" / "Retry"
copy + the "Managed by Desktop" tooltip and disabled hint.
Layout helpers tagged: runtime-list passes `t` through to the column
factory the same way agent-columns does.
ESLint allow-list extended with the 4 wired files. Verified:
typecheck + 277/277 tests + 0 i18n lint errors. usage-section.tsx
(KPI cards / WhenChart / TopUsageBreakdown / receipt table) is the
remaining runtimes surface — chart-heavy and benefits from a focused
pass next.

* feat(i18n): translate 5 agent detail tabs + skill-add dialog
The 5 tabs that fill the agent detail right pane plus the shared
skill picker dialog. Agents bundle gains a `tab_body` block with
sub-namespaces per tab + a `common` slot for save/add/unsaved.
Tab coverage:
- instructions-tab: intro paragraph, multi-line example placeholder
(full 18-line zh translation), Save / Unsaved.
- env-tab: read-only intro / empty state, editable intro with two
inline `<code>` env-var examples kept English (mono terminal
payloads), KEY / value placeholders, Show/Hide value aria, Add /
Remove aria, all 3 toasts (duplicate keys / saved / save failed).
- custom-args-tab: intro about whitespace splitting, launch-mode
prefix line + `<your args>` placeholder, --flag value placeholder,
Add, Remove aria, both toasts.
- skills-tab: intro, Add skill button, import-hint callout, empty
state title + hint + add-CTA, remove-failed toast.
- activity-tab: 3 section titles (Now / Last 30 days / Recent work),
active-task pluralization, performance subtitle, all 3 empty
states, runs/success%/avg-duration/failed pluralization with
interpolation, source labels (Issue / Chat / Autopilot / Untracked),
source fallbacks (Quick create / Creating issue / Chat session /
Autopilot run), issue-short fallback, "Triggered by" tooltip
header, open-issue / transcript / cancel-task tooltips and ARIAs,
cancelling state, started/dispatched/queued time prefixes, show
more.
- skill-add-dialog: dialog title + description, empty list copy,
Cancel button, add-failed toast.
skills-tab.test.tsx wrapped in <I18nProvider> with the EN bundle so
its `Local runtime skills are always available` assertion still
matches the resolved translation instead of the raw key path.
ESLint allow-list extended with the 6 wired files. Verified:
typecheck + 277/277 tests + 0 i18n lint errors. Only the per-test
mock for skills-tab needed wrapping; the other 4 tabs ship without
test files of their own and inherit the I18nProvider chain via
agent-overview-pane / agent-detail-page test renders (when those
exist later).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* feat(i18n): translate onboarding step-questionnaire + option-card
The user-profile step (3 questions) is the first deferred onboarding
deep step now wired through useT.
step-questionnaire:
- Eyebrow + headline + answered-progress counter with {{count}}
interpolation
- All 3 questions and their option labels (team size / role / use case)
- All 3 "Other" placeholders for free-text fallback
- Right-rail "Why three questions" / "What you get" panel: 2 eyebrow
rows, 2 unlock-item title+body pairs, learn-more link
- Back / Continue buttons via shared `common` block
option-card: shared "Other" radio label and aria.
Test wrapped in <I18nProvider>. EN value of `other_label` kept as
"Other" so the existing /^other$/i regex in step-questionnaire.test
keeps matching after the rendering pipeline switched from a hardcoded
literal to a bundle lookup.
ESLint allow-list extended with these 2 files. The remaining 4 deep
steps (workspace / runtime-connect / platform-fork / agent), the
2 ancillary surfaces (cli-install-instructions / starter-content-
prompt), and the 3 side panels (runtime-aside-panel / cloud-waitlist-
expand / compact-runtime-row) will be surfaced + swept by the global
ESLint switch (next commit).
Verified: typecheck + 277/277 tests + 0 i18n lint errors.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* feat(i18n): flip ESLint to glob + drain remaining hardcoded EN
ESLint i18next/no-literal-string now applies to **/*.tsx by default
instead of an explicit allow-list. Files that genuinely still need
hardcoded EN are listed in STILL_HARDCODED — concrete, finite, and
the goal is to drain that list to zero.
Tail strings translated in this commit (surfaced by the global flip):
- common/task-transcript/agent-transcript-dialog.tsx — full dialog:
status badge (Running / Completed / Failed), sr-only DialogTitle,
Filter dropdown trigger + Clear filters, Copy all / Copy filtered /
Copied, tool-calls + events metadata chips with pluralization,
events-filtered "{{shown}} of {{total}}" interpolation, "Waiting
for events..." live state, "No execution data recorded." past
state. New `transcript` block in agents namespace.
- runtimes/components/charts/activity-heatmap.tsx — Less / More
legend labels around the contribution-style heat squares.
- search/search-trigger.tsx — sidebar Search... button label.
⌘ glyph wrapped in {} to satisfy the linter (mono shortcut symbol,
not translatable).
Holdouts (STILL_HARDCODED, ~14 files): the deep onboarding steps
(workspace / runtime-connect / platform-fork / agent / first-issue /
cli-install-instructions, plus 4 ancillary panels), the runtimes
usage-section + KPI cards, and 5 minor agent visual primitives
(sparkline / agent-presence-indicator / agent-profile-card /
visibility-badge / char-counter). Each one gets a dedicated future
pass; the global rule prevents new hardcoded strings from landing
elsewhere.
Verified: typecheck + 277/277 tests + 0 i18n lint errors.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* feat(i18n): drain agent visual primitives + onboarding small components
8 files removed from STILL_HARDCODED:
agents/components/:
- char-counter — over-limit text with {{count}} interpolation
- visibility-badge — uses new agents.visibility.{private,workspace}.
{label, tooltip} block; drops VISIBILITY_LABEL/TOOLTIP imports from
core in favour of bundle-driven copy
- agent-presence-indicator — availability + workload labels via
$.availability[enum] / $.workload[enum] (cross-namespace),
queue-badge "+N queued" with pluralization
- agent-profile-card — Agent unavailable / Detail link / Owner /
Skills / Runtime / Unknown runtime / Archived chip / availability
line via cross-namespace lookup
agents.json: new presence + visibility + profile_card + char_counter
blocks.
onboarding/components/:
- compact-runtime-row — online/offline aria via agents.availability
- runtime-aside-panel — full content (What's a runtime / Good to
know / Swap anytime / Add more later / docs link)
- starter-content-prompt — full dialog (title / description with
inline emphasis / both buttons / 3 toasts)
- cloud-waitlist-expand — intro paragraph + warning span / email
+ reason labels + placeholders + Optional badge / Join + on-list
states / both toasts
onboarding/steps/:
- cli-install-instructions — copy aria + intro + 2 step labels
onboarding.json: new runtime_aside / cli_install / starter_content /
cloud_waitlist blocks.
Tests for step-platform-fork + step-runtime-connect wrapped in
<I18nProvider> with EN bundle so /you're on the list/i etc. still
matches the resolved translations.
Verified: typecheck + 277/277 tests + 0 i18n lint errors.

* feat(i18n): translate onboarding deep steps
The 5 large onboarding steps that were deferred from earlier passes,
plus their support helpers, all wired through useT.
step-first-issue (final beat — flips onboarded_at):
- error_title / Retry / retry_failed toast / finishing / opening
states.
step-agent (creates the user's first agent):
- Templates moved from a module-level const to a useT-driven
useAgentTemplates() hook. Names + emoji stay constant (visual
identity), labels + blurbs + instructions resolve from the
bundle. coding / planning / writing / assistant — all four
templates ship a full zh translation that reads naturally.
- Recommended badge, eyebrow + headline + lede, footer hint,
Create {{name}} CTA, create_failed toast.
- Right-rail "About agents" panel (4 way-items + headline +
add-more hint + docs link).
step-workspace (create or pick existing):
- 5 footer states (open / creating / creating-pending / name-first
/ pick), all hint + CTA strings via interpolation.
- Name + URL + slug placeholders, issue-prefix preview spans,
Create-new card title + subtitle.
- 8-row WorkspacePreviewCard sidebar (Inbox / Issues / Agents /
Projects / Autopilot / Runtimes / Skills / And more) — every
label + meta strapped to bundle keys.
- 4 perks (assign / chat / invite / switch) + 3 next-steps
(runtime / agent / starter), 2 toasts (slug-conflict / failed).
- `multica.ai/${slug}` mono URL escaped via template-literal
expression so the linter sees a JS string.
step-runtime-connect (desktop scan flow):
- 3 phase headlines + ledes (scanning / found / empty), trust-strip
status (all online / N online / none online) with pluralization,
online/offline labels, Skip / Continue / Selected hint.
- Empty-view 2 cards (skip + waitlist) and the cloud waitlist
dialog wrapper.
step-platform-fork (web fan-out):
- Eyebrow + headline + lede, footer hint with 3 phase variants.
- Primary download card (before/after click) + 2 alt cards (CLI /
cloud) + CLI dialog with 4 elapsed-time stages (normal / midway /
slow / stalled), live-listening header, runtime-connected
pluralization, cloud waitlist dialog.
ESLint: STILL_HARDCODED list shrunk from 14 entries to 1 — only
runtimes/components/usage-section.tsx (chart-heavy KPI panel)
remains.
Verified: typecheck + 277/277 tests + 0 i18n lint errors.

* feat(i18n): translate runtimes usage panel + drop STILL_HARDCODED
Final i18n holdout: the runtimes usage panel (KPI hero, WHEN chart
tabs, cost-by breakdowns, daily breakdown table) is wired through
useT("runtimes"). With this drained, the eslint scaffolding for
explicit holdouts is removed — every JSX text node in @multica/views
now flows through i18n.

* fix(i18n): drain rollout gaps + add cross-device sync
Lands the post-review punch list for the i18n rollout: closes correctness
gaps that would have shipped silently, and adds the missing cross-device
locale sync the rollout's docs already promised.
Coverage:
- Register issues + agents namespaces in RESOURCES (90 useT call sites
were rendering keys-as-text in production)
- Harden parity test to compare RESOURCES keys against on-disk JSON
files, so a future missing namespace registration fails loudly
- Server-side language whitelist in UpdateMe + reject-unsupported test
- Safe SupportedLocale resolution in appearance-tab (no more `as` cast
on a region-tagged BCP-47 string)
- HTML lang attribute uses zh-CN (not zh-Hans) for screen reader / CJK
font-stack compatibility
- Cookie Secure flag on https
- Pulled createBrowserCookieLocaleAdapter out of the server-safe entry
into a new @multica/core/i18n/browser subpath; document.cookie access
can no longer leak into Edge middleware imports
Cross-device sync:
- New UserLocaleSync component mounted in CoreProvider; on login, if
user.language differs from the active i18n.language, persist via the
adapter and reload. Both apps benefit
- Desktop main process tracks system locale and emits IPC on focus when
it changes; renderer reloads only when the user has no explicit
Settings choice (their preference still wins)
Tests:
- pickLocale / matchLocale (11 cases incl. region-tagged BCP-47, malformed
tags, zh-Hant collapse-to-zh-Hans semantics)
- browser-cookie-adapter (6 cases under jsdom)
- Shared renderWithI18n helper at packages/views/test/i18n.tsx that wraps
the real RESOURCES map; future tests opt in instead of inlining a
per-file TEST_RESOURCES slice that goes stale silently

* docs(conventions): consolidate naming + i18n glossary into docs site
Single source of truth for code naming, i18n translation glossary, and
Chinese voice rules. Previously split between packages/views/locales/glossary.md
and scattered comments — now lives at apps/docs/content/docs/developers/conventions.{mdx,zh.mdx}
with both English and Chinese versions kept in sync.
Three sections per page:
1. Code naming — routes, packages, files, DB, Go, TS, commits
2. i18n translation glossary — entity vs concept rule, what to translate,
word combination, plurals, interpolation, key naming
3. Chinese voice + style — punctuation, principles, where to look in doubt
Side effects:
- packages/views/locales/glossary.md collapses to a stub redirecting to
the docs page; do not edit it
- CLAUDE.md gets a new top-level "Conventions reference" section so any
Claude session sees the pointer before any other rule
- apps/docs/content/docs/developers/ gets a stub English meta.json so the
conventions page is reachable on the EN side (contributing.zh.mdx /
architecture.zh.mdx remain ZH-only — separate work)
- Both root sidebars get a new "Developers" group
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* fix(i18n): apply zh voice rules + translate project/autopilot
Two-part cleanup driven by the conventions doc landed last commit:
Voice violations (mechanical sweep across 10 zh-Hans namespaces):
- 「」 (Japanese-style brackets) → \" to match the EN source's straight
double quotes (~13 sites)
- … (single-char ellipsis) → ... three dots (~43 sites)
- Drop translation-ese pronoun "我们" where it's a pure narrator
("我们已发送" → "已发送", "我们替你托管" → "由 Multica 托管"); keep
"告诉我们" where "we" is the legitimate brand recipient
- "作为父级 / 作为子级" → "设为父级 / 设为子级"
- "任务" mistranslated as the task entity → `task` (lowercase EN entity)
- Dialog title "Autopilot" → "autopilot"
Translate project / autopilot per industry consensus:
- `project` → 「项目」 (~42 value sites). Feishu / Tower / Teambition /
PingCode / GitHub Projects all translate; no Chinese product keeps
`project`.
- `autopilot` → 「自动化」 (~34 value sites). Avoids the Tesla-style
「自动驾驶」 association; matches Notion / Feishu's industry term.
- Issue / skill / task remain lowercase EN per dev-team familiarity.
- Sidebar nav-label entities get Title Case ("Issue" / "Skill" / "我的
Issue") so the entry-point label reads as a proper UI signal; body
prose stays lowercase.
Conventions doc (EN + ZH) reflects the decision and adds a "why these
translate but issue/skill/task don't" rationale block.
Verification: parity test 45/45, full monorepo typecheck green.

* feat(i18n): translate chat session delete + project resources section
Two features main shipped while this branch was idle never went through
the i18n pass:
- Chat session delete confirmation dialog (#2115) and history toggle
tooltip (#2117): adds session_history.delete_dialog.* and
session_history.row_delete_*, plus window.history_show_tooltip /
history_back_tooltip.
- Project resources sidebar (#1926/#2080/#2111): entire component
including toasts, popover form, attach/remove tooltips. New
projects.resources subtree.

fix(views): improve mobile responsiveness for agents and settings (#2036)
* feat(agents): make agent detail page mobile responsive (#1) Stack the inspector + overview pane vertically below md, switch the shell to page-level scroll so the inspector flows naturally, give the overview pane a min-h-[60vh] floor so tabs stay usable, and let the 5-tab nav scroll horizontally on narrow viewports. * fix(settings): make Repositories tab and Settings shell mobile-responsive (#2) The Settings shell used a fixed w-52 sidebar with no responsive behavior, leaving almost no room for tab content on phone-width viewports. Stack the nav above the content on mobile, scale inner padding, and let the Repositories tab's input/button rows wrap rather than overflow. |

refactor(repos): drop unused description + tighten create-project layout (#1930)
* refactor(repos): drop unused description + tighten create-project layout
Two related changes that touch the workspace-repos surface together.
1. Remove the per-repo `description` field everywhere it was threaded.
The only place it ever surfaced was a markdown table column the daemon
wrote into the agent runtime config, where most rows just read "—"
anyway. Agents already discover project structure by running
`multica project` / `multica issue` against the CLI, so the human-
readable description string carried no real value while taking up an
extra Settings input row and propagating through six layers (settings
UI → workspace.repos jsonb → handler RepoData → daemon RepoData →
repocache.RepoInfo → execenv.RepoContextForEnv).
- Settings → Repositories drops the description input; the URL field
now spans the whole row.
- WorkspaceRepo TS type loses `description`; backend RepoData /
RepoInfo / RepoContextForEnv all collapse to URL only.
- Daemon's runtime_config Repositories block changes from a
`| URL | Description |` markdown table to a simple bullet list.
- Tests updated; jsonb residue in existing workspaces is dropped at
normalize time, so no migration needed.
2. Tighten the Create Project modal footer: pull the Status / Priority /
Lead / Repos pills onto the same row as the Create Project button
(Linear-style single-row footer) instead of stacking them above it,
and swap the Repos pill icon from `FolderGit` to a real GitHub mark
(lucide-react v1 dropped brand icons, so the mark lives inline as a
small SVG component in this file).
I tried promoting Repos to its own "Resources" strip above the footer
to separate the resources abstraction from project metadata, but with
a single pill it looked too sparse — leaving a TODO comment in the
footer to revisit once we add Linear / Notion / Figma / Slack
resource types.
* fix(daemon test): drop residual Description field on RepoData literals
* fix(repos): drop Description residue surfaced after rebase on #1929
Project-resource github_repo lift path (#1929) and registerTaskRepos
both still constructed RepoData{...Description: ...} after the rebase.
Two test sites in daemon_test.go and execenv_test.go also reintroduced
the field. Strip them so the Description-removal change builds and
tests pass with the latest main.

feat: permission-aware UI across agent/comment/runtime/skill surfaces (#1915)
* feat(permissions): add core permission module and shared UI primitives
Foundation for permission-aware UI: pure rules that mirror the Go backend
permission gates, lightweight per-resource hooks, and two reusable display
components used across agent/skill/runtime detail pages.
- packages/core/permissions: types, rules, hooks (Decision-shaped — carries
reason + message so UI can render disabled state, tooltip, and banner
copy from one source)
- packages/core/agents/visibility-label: VISIBILITY_LABEL/DESCRIPTION/TOOLTIP
constants ("Personal" / "Workspace") to replace scattered hard-coded copy
- packages/views/agents/visibility-badge: read-only visibility chip used on
hover cards, list rows, and inspector when not editable
- packages/ui/components/common/capability-banner: "View only — only X and
admins can edit Y" banner shown on agent / skill detail when current user
lacks edit permission
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* feat(views): permission-aware UI across agent/comment/runtime/skill surfaces
Apply the new permission rules to every surface where the UI was either
lying about who can do what or letting users hit 403s by clicking buttons
the backend would reject.
Agent detail
- Hide archive/restore actions for non-owner non-admin
- Replace inline editors (avatar, name, description, runtime/model/visibility/
concurrency picker, skill-attach) with read-only display when canEdit is
false — value is information, the editor is the action
- Show CapabilityBanner under the header explaining who can edit
Visibility surfaces
- visibility-picker / create-agent-dialog: replace "only you can assign"
(false) with "Only you and workspace admins can assign" via shared
VISIBILITY_DESCRIPTION constants
- agent-columns: truthful tooltip + "You" badge on agents the current user
owns
Comments
- Restore admin override on comment edit/delete (backend already permits
it via comment.go:507-512; the frontend was incorrectly hiding the menu).
canModerate is computed once in issue-detail and threaded down.
Other
- Members tab: disable "demote" options for the last owner with tooltip
- Assignee picker: tooltip on disabled personal agents the user can't assign
- Runtime delete: tooltip and dialog explain the gate; owner column gains
a name label next to the avatar in All scope
- Skill detail: page-level CapabilityBanner alongside the existing lock chip
- Issue delete (single + batch): note that any workspace member can delete
issues — by-design semantics, made transparent
Backend is unchanged.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* feat(agents): hide personal agents from list and @mention for non-owners
Until now an agent's "Personal" visibility only narrowed the assign-to-issue
gate — every workspace member still saw every personal agent in the list
and the @mention dropdown. Members would see, click, and fail.
This filters those surfaces with the canonical canAssignAgentToIssue rule:
regular members only see workspace-visibility agents and the personal
agents they own; workspace owners and admins continue to see everything
(admin override path is intact).
- agents-page: visibleInView layer between active/archived and Mine/All
scope so segment counts also reflect the filter
- mention-suggestion: filter agentItems before they enter the recency-
ranked list; expand the test mock to cover the auth + visibility paths
and add two assertions (member hides others' personal agents; admin
still sees them)
Backend keeps returning every agent — admin tools and direct API access
are unaffected. This is a UI-only filter.

feat(daemon): add Co-authored-by trailer for Multica Agent to git commits (#1907)
* feat(daemon): add Co-authored-by trailer for Multica Agent to git commits Install a prepare-commit-msg hook in worktree bare repos that appends "Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>" to every commit made by agents. Uses git interpret-trailers for proper formatting and skips duplicates. * feat(settings): add Co-authored-by toggle in workspace Labs settings Add a workspace-level toggle to enable/disable the Co-authored-by trailer for agent commits. feat(inbox): add notification preferences to control inbox noise by event type (#1906)
Users can now mute specific notification categories (assignments, status changes, comments & mentions, priority/due-date updates, agent activity) from Settings > Notifications. Muted event types are silently filtered at notification creation time — no inbox items are created for muted groups. - Add notification_preference table (migration 064) - Add GET/PUT /api/notification-preferences endpoints - Filter notifications in notifyIssueSubscribers, notifyDirect, and notifyMentionedMembers based on user preferences - Add Notifications tab in Settings with per-group toggle switches |

fix(settings): render invite role label via roleConfig in members tab (#1693)
The invite-member role Select rendered the raw value ("member"/"admin")
in the trigger because Base UI's SelectValue defaults to the value, not
the item text. PR #1672 worked around it with `className="capitalize"`,
but this file already owns a roleConfig map with proper labels and the
codebase has an established render-prop pattern for SelectValue (see
trigger-config.tsx and runtime-local-skill-import-panel.tsx).
Use roleConfig[inviteRole].label inside SelectValue and reuse the same
labels for SelectItem children. Single source of truth for role display
names; future role additions or i18n won't depend on CSS capitalize.

feat(onboarding): redesigned flow + post-landing starter content opt-in (#1411)
* docs(onboarding): add redesign proposal Captures motivation (two activation funnels), research-backed principles, final 5-step flow (welcome+questionnaire → workspace → runtime → agent → first-issue), Q1/Q2/Q3 personalization matrix, backend user_onboarding schema, API design, resume policy, and development ordering (frontend-first with Zustand stub, backend-last, server swap). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * feat(onboarding): scaffold redesigned flow and state foundation Work-in-progress scaffold toward the redesign documented in docs/onboarding-redesign-proposal.md. This commit is intentionally broad — subsequent commits will replace step content and wire real personalization. Not ready for merge. Included: - packages/views/onboarding/: flow orchestrator + 5 step components (welcome/workspace/runtime/agent/complete) and the CLI install card. Step content is the placeholder version; Step 1 (questionnaire) and Step 5 (first issue) are the next changes. - packages/core/onboarding/: dev-phase Zustand store + types. Not persisted — every page refresh starts at Step 1 so each step can be iterated in isolation. Will swap to TanStack Query + PATCH /api/me/onboarding once the backend user_onboarding table ships (keeps the exported hook surface stable). - packages/core/paths/resolve.ts + .test.ts: centralized resolvePostAuthDestination. Priority is flipped so !hasOnboarded wins over workspace presence — during frontend development every login re-enters /onboarding. useHasOnboarded() reads from the store so the real onboarded_at semantic lands automatically once the backend ships. - Post-auth wiring: callback page, login page, landing redirect, dashboard guard, realtime workspace-loss handler, settings leave/ delete, invite acceptance, and desktop app shell all delegate to the shared resolver instead of inline logic. - Desktop overlay: 'onboarding' added as a WindowOverlay type alongside new-workspace / invite, with a navigation-adapter interception so push('/onboarding') opens the overlay. - packages/core/package.json / packages/views/package.json: add new subpath exports. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * docs(onboarding): revise questionnaire to role-driven 3-question form Aligns the proposal with the corrected product positioning: Multica is an AI agent orchestration platform for diverse users (developers, product leads, writers, founders), not a coding-focused tool. Key changes: - Drop Q1 "which agents do you already use?" — daemon auto-detects installed CLIs on PATH; asking is both redundant and less accurate - Add Q2 "what best describes you?" (role) to drive Step 4 template default and Onboarding Project sub-issue filtering - Keep Q1 team_size, refine Q3 use_case (recover writing/research option); all three now have "Other" with an 80-char text field - Q3 use_case_other is embedded into Step 5 first issue prompt so Other users get maximally personalized aha moments, not generic ones - Agent templates: 3 → 4 (Coding / Planning / Writing / Assistant), matrix driven by Q2 × Q3 - Onboarding Project sub-issues: surface Autopilot and Workspace Context (product differentiators), replace "orchestration" wording - Schema JSONB example and §5/§9 execution plan updated to match Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * refactor(onboarding): align questionnaire shape with role-driven redesign Prepares the core state layer for the Step 1 questionnaire rewrite. Type-only and initial-value changes; no behavior changes (nothing was reading the removed `existing_agents` field, since no questionnaire UI exists yet). - Add `Role` type (Q2: developer / product_lead / writer / founder / other) - Add `*_other` sibling fields for team_size / role / use_case so each question's "Other" selection can carry 80-char free text - Drop `existing_agents` — daemon auto-detects CLIs on PATH at Step 3, so the signal no longer belongs in the questionnaire - Extend `TeamSize` / `UseCase` unions with `"other"` member - Refine `UseCase` option label (`writing` → `writing_research`) so it matches the widened Q3 scope in the proposal Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * feat(onboarding): implement Step 1 questionnaire Replaces the placeholder welcome step with the 3-question questionnaire defined in docs/onboarding-redesign-proposal.md §3.4. Answers land in the core onboarding store for later use by Steps 4 and 5. Added: - packages/views/onboarding/components/option-card.tsx — OptionCard + OtherOptionCard. Radio-group ARIA semantics; Enter/Space select; Other variant reveals an 80-char input that auto-focuses on mount. - packages/views/onboarding/steps/step-questionnaire.tsx — merges welcome + Q1/Q2/Q3 into one screen. Local draft state for responsiveness; writes to the core store only on submit. Skip/ Continue CTA swap driven by "any answered?"; the only disabled case is "picked Other but the text box is blank". - Test coverage for the CTA rules, Other-clear-on-switch behavior, initial-answers pre-fill, and full payload shape. Modified: - packages/views/onboarding/onboarding-flow.tsx — render questionnaire as the first step; persist answers and advance the stored current_step on submit. Other steps still run off local useState for now; full store-driven orchestration follows when Step 5 lands. Removed: - packages/views/onboarding/steps/step-welcome.tsx — superseded. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(onboarding): split welcome + questionnaire, unblock scroll, drop Q1 evaluating Three fixes prompted by first real browser testing of the Step 1 questionnaire. All three are about making the flow usable before pursuing visual polish. 1. Split Welcome and Questionnaire into two screens The previous merge-welcome-into-questionnaire decision dropped Multica's product introduction entirely. For a product with no established mental model (AI agents as first-class teammates in a task platform), first-time users need 5 seconds of framing before the questionnaire makes sense. StepWelcome carries that framing; it's UI-only (not a persisted step), shown only on first entry (pristine store), and skipped automatically on resume. 2. Remove `my-auto` vertical centering from both platform shells Long questionnaire content pushed the centered block's top above the scroll origin, making Continue/Skip unreachable. Top-alignment + natural body/overlay scroll is the boring-but-correct baseline for content of variable height. 3. Drop Q1 "Just exploring for now" option Q1 asks about team structure, not attitude. "Evaluating" was a category error. Low-commitment users already have a zero-friction path (skip all questions). Removing the option simplifies the question and the downstream mapping table. Types, store initial value, proposal doc (§3.1 flow diagram, §3.4 options, §3.5 sub-issue sorting, §3.6 conditionals, §4.1 JSONB schema, §5.2 file list, §7 decisions row, §9.2 execution order) all synced. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(onboarding): center short steps, scroll long ones — correctly this time Previous attempt removed `my-auto` thinking it was responsible for blocked scrolling. That diagnosis was wrong: the real blocker was the root layout's \`body { overflow: hidden }\` (an app-shell convention so sidebar/topbar stay put while the inner content region scrolls). Removing `my-auto` broke vertical centering of short steps (Welcome) without fixing the scroll issue. Correct fix: - Web: page now owns its own scroll container — `h-full overflow-y-auto` on the outermost div decouples from the body's overflow-hidden. - Desktop: the overlay's existing `flex-1 overflow-auto` container already provided scroll; just restoring `my-auto` was sufficient. - Both platforms: inner `flex min-h-full flex-col items-center` + content `my-auto` gives the "short centers, long top-aligns and overflows down" behavior. Per the flex spec, auto margins are ignored on overflowing boxes (they overflow in the end direction), so Continue/Skip remain reachable via scroll even on long steps like the questionnaire. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * feat(onboarding): add progress indicator + stable header anchor Adds a consistent visual anchor at the top of every step (except Welcome), so transitioning between steps of different content heights no longer shifts the vertical baseline. - packages/core/onboarding/step-order.ts — single source of truth for step order; indicator math reads from here so adding/reordering a step touches only one line - packages/views/onboarding/components/step-header.tsx — dot row + "Step N of M" counter; three dot states (done/current/pending); accessible progressbar semantics - onboarding-flow.tsx — non-welcome steps now render under a shared `<div flex flex-col gap-8>` wrapper with StepHeader on top. Maps the local `complete` render step to the store's `first_issue` until Step 5 lands (one-line function, self-deleting). - step-welcome.tsx — keeps its own min-h-[60vh] + justify-center so the short intro still feels centered once the shell drops my-auto - apps/web + apps/desktop shells — removed `my-auto`. Every non-welcome step now anchors to the same top position, so only the content below the header changes during transitions. Welcome's own internal centering handles its "short content, no header" case. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * feat(onboarding): add web Step 3 platform fork (Desktop / CLI / waitlist) Web users now see a three-way choice at the runtime step instead of being dropped directly into CLI install instructions: - Primary CTA: Download Multica Desktop (bundled runtime) - Alternate: install the CLI (reveals existing StepRuntimeConnect) - Alternate: join the cloud waitlist (captures email, completes onboarding early with cloud_waitlist_email set) Desktop unchanged — its platform shell doesn't pass cliInstructions, so OnboardingFlow routes it straight to StepRuntimeConnect for the bundled-daemon auto-connect path. Rename step-runtime.tsx → step-runtime-connect.tsx to reflect its new single responsibility (connect UI only; platform choice lives in StepPlatformFork). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * feat(onboarding): capture optional use-case on cloud waitlist Adds a textarea to the waitlist form asking what the user wants to use Multica for. Optional (submit still works with email alone) but surfaces a clear prompt + placeholder example so most users will fill it in. Stored as cloud_waitlist_description alongside the email. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(onboarding): make !hasOnboarded a first-class gate on both platforms Triggering condition was wrong on both sides. Web's dashboard-guard only checked hasOnboarded when the URL slug failed to resolve; desktop's App.tsx effect returned early when wsCount > 0 before even looking at hasOnboarded. Users with existing workspaces never got routed into onboarding regardless of their flag state. Also wire store.complete() into the happy-path finish — previously only the waitlist branch wrote onboarded_at, so every normal completion left the flag false and (now that triggers work) would loop users back into onboarding on refresh. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * feat(onboarding): Step 5 auto-bootstrap — welcome issue + Getting Started project After agent creation, the flow transitions to a loader screen that runs the bootstrap in the background: - Creates a welcome issue with a Q3-driven prompt, assigned to the new agent (so it starts working immediately) - Creates a "Getting Started" project with tutorial sub-issues filtered by Q1/Q2/Q3 - Stores first_issue_id + onboarding_project_id via store.complete() - Navigates the user straight into the welcome issue detail page, where they see the agent already responding Degraded path: if welcome issue fails, shows error with Retry / Continue anyway. If project or sub-issues fail, logs and proceeds with just the welcome issue — the aha moment still happens. No-agent paths (runtime skip, agent skip) short-circuit to onComplete without bootstrap. Local flow step union now aligns with the store enum; removed the mapLocalToStoreStep bridge and deleted the old step-complete.tsx placeholder. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * refactor(onboarding): converge all no-agent paths to a single bootstrap step Before: skip-runtime, skip-agent, and waitlist each finished onboarding independently, bypassing Step 5 entirely. Users without an agent landed in an empty workspace with no tutorial project — the "self-serve" case had no bootstrap at all. Now: all three paths converge on the first_issue step with agent=null. Bootstrap branches on agent presence: - agent ✓ → welcome issue (assigned to agent) + project + agent-guided sub-issues ("watch your agent do X"). Lands on the welcome issue. - agent ✗ → project only + self-serve sub-issues ("try X yourself" — configure runtime, create agent, write first issue, etc.). Lands on the workspace issues list with the Getting Started project in the sidebar. Both web and desktop shells already handle firstIssueId=undefined → fall back to /<slug>/issues, so no shell-side change was needed. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * feat(onboarding): pin starter project + assign sub-issues to the user Bootstrap now also: - Pins the Getting Started project so users see it in the sidebar immediately (both paths) - Pins the welcome issue too (path A only) so the first conversation with the agent stays one click away - Assigns every sub-issue to the current user (via their workspace member record). Only the welcome issue stays assigned to the agent — that's the aha-moment hand-off; everything else is for the user to work through Pin calls are fire-and-forget (failure logged but non-blocking). Member lookup is defensive — if listMembers fails or the user isn't found, sub-issues gracefully fall back to unassigned rather than breaking the bootstrap. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * refactor(onboarding): remove cloud waitlist option Cloud runtime is not on the immediate roadmap and there's no backend table to persist emails. Keeping the UI around would silently drop user submissions — small trust leak. Revisit once cloud product lands alongside a proper waitlist table + notification pipeline. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * feat(onboarding): persist onboarded_at end-to-end Phase 1 of bringing onboarding from dev stub to production. A single persisted column drives every trigger — no separate user_onboarding table yet (that's a later phase for questionnaire persistence, cloud waitlist, analytics). Backend - Migration 050: ALTER TABLE "user" ADD COLUMN onboarded_at TIMESTAMPTZ (no backfill — existing users see onboarding next login, Skip affordance lands later) - sqlc: MarkUserOnboarded with COALESCE for idempotency - UserResponse DTO + userToResponse now emit onboarded_at via existing util.TimestampToPtr helper — single edit covers GetMe, VerifyCode, GoogleLogin, LoginWithToken - New handler POST /api/me/onboarding/complete - Route registered in the authenticated user-scoped group Frontend - User type gets onboarded_at: string | null - api.markOnboardingComplete() - Auth store adds refreshMe() — lightweight getMe + setUser, complements existing initialize() - useHasOnboarded switches source from onboarding-store (dev stub) to auth-store (user.onboarded_at). Every call site — dashboard guard, desktop App.tsx, invite page fallback, realtime workspace-loss handler, settings leave/delete — picks up the real signal without any direct change - onboarding-store.complete() now hits the server: POST + refreshMe before local state update, so the next router effect sees the non-null timestamp and won't bounce the user back Triggers + route guards - StepWorkspace drops the Skip button — every onboarding user must create their own workspace even if invited into one - /onboarding page redirects already-onboarded users away (guards against manual URL access) - login page + auth callback: onboarding wins over ?next= for unonboarded users; invite links are revisitable after onboarding Tests - apps/web callback tests updated: mocks now return User objects so onboarded_at is readable; new "onboarded user honors next" scenario added, "unonboarded ignores next" scenario kept - test/helpers mockUser gets onboarded_at field - questionnaire already-existing strict-required tests bundled in from a prior uncommitted change Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(onboarding): review findings — dead state, error recovery, cache races From independent review of the prior onboarded_at commit. - Remove the dead OnboardingState.onboarded_at field, its INITIAL_STATE entry, and its write in store.complete(). useHasOnboarded now reads auth-store exclusively; leaving a parallel field here violates the "don't duplicate server data in Zustand" rule and risks drifting into a second source of truth. - Wrap handleBootstrapDone/handleBootstrapSkip in try/catch with toast recovery. complete() is idempotent server-side (COALESCE), so a retry after a failed POST/refreshMe is free — letting the error bubble into the React error boundary trapped the user with no way forward. - RedirectIfAuthenticated: swap `!list` for `isFetched`-gated check, matching the pattern added on the /onboarding page. Same one-tick race where a stale cache [] could fire a premature replace before the fresh list settles. - (Self-review fixups picked up along the way) /onboarding page now waits for workspacesFetched before redirecting already-onboarded users, and login handleSuccess reads useAuthStore.getState() so the hasOnboarded value is fresh after setUser (the closure captured a stale pre-login value otherwise). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * refactor(onboarding): shrink store surface + firm up flow invariants Post-review cleanup. End-to-end flow is already complete (user.onboarded_at is the single source of truth); these are quality-of-life fixes on top. Store surface - Drop six dead fields from OnboardingState (workspace_id, runtime_id, agent_id, first_issue_id, onboarding_project_id, platform_preference) and the PlatformPreference type. None had readers — they were stub placeholders for a future user_onboarding table that isn't coming this phase. CLAUDE.md "don't design for hypothetical future". - store.complete() signature simplifies to () — no more patch arg, since the only patch fields were the ones just deleted. Welcome as a first-class step - Add "welcome" to OnboardingStep enum and make it INITIAL_STATE's current_step. Removes the pristine-heuristic "did user see welcome?" check, which could misfire on remount. - pickInitialStep() collapses to `state.current_step ?? "welcome"`. - ONBOARDING_STEP_ORDER stays unchanged (welcome isn't a progress point). advance() chain - Every transition handler now persists the new current_step to the store (handleWorkspaceCreated, handleRuntimeNext, handleAgentCreated, handleAgentSkip). Refresh lands on the right step instead of jumping back to Step 2. Invariants - OnboardingFlow throws on null user instead of spreading defensive `?? ""` and `if (userId)` that silently degraded to unassigned sub-issues. Shell guards already ensure user is present. - Desktop WindowOverlay's onComplete gains a paths.root() fallback when workspace is undefined — matches web's symmetry. docs/product-overview.md: committed from untracked. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * feat(onboarding): persist questionnaire + current_step; resume + Back End-to-end questionnaire persistence + resume capability. User answers are now server-side (analytics-ready); refreshing or revisiting lands on the furthest reached step with previous answers pre-filled; a Back button on each step lets users edit earlier answers without losing progress. Backend - Migration 051: ALTER TABLE "user" ADD onboarding_current_step TEXT, onboarding_questionnaire JSONB NOT NULL DEFAULT '{}'::jsonb - sqlc: new PatchUserOnboarding with sqlc.narg for optional fields (COALESCE preserves unspecified columns). MarkUserOnboarded also clears current_step — once complete, the step pointer has no meaning - Handler PATCH /api/me/onboarding accepting partial {current_step, questionnaire}. Questionnaire passthrough via json.RawMessage, no server-side validation of inner shape (keeps schema evolution free) - UserResponse DTO emits both new fields; userToResponse coalesces JSONB to '{}' defensively Frontend - User type gains onboarding_current_step + onboarding_questionnaire - api.patchOnboarding(payload) - Delete Zustand onboarding store — replaced with plain async advanceOnboarding() / completeOnboarding() that call the API and sync auth store. Source of truth is the user object, no client-side shadow state that could drift - pickInitialStep reads user.onboarding_current_step; StepQuestionnaire initial pre-fills from user.onboarding_questionnaire - Monotonic furthestStepRef: Back edits don't regress server-side progress, and re-submit returns the user to where they were - Back buttons on Steps 2/3/4. Back is local-only — just changes the rendered step, no PATCH - Loading indicator on Welcome + Questionnaire submit buttons while PATCH is in flight - CreateWorkspaceForm.onSuccess accepts Promise<void> so the flow can await advance() from its onCreated handler Test mocks (helpers + callback test) updated with new User fields. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(onboarding): resume to Step 3+ needs workspace/runtime fallback Self-review caught: resume lands the user on their saved step, but React state (workspace, runtime, agent) is empty on fresh mount. The render conditions gate on those — without fallbacks the page stays blank. - workspaceListOptions() query fills runtimeWorkspace from cache when stepping past Step 2. Only one workspace exists during onboarding (StepWorkspace always creates one), so [0] is unambiguous. - StepWorkspace accepts an `existing` prop. On resume / Back to Step 2 with a pre-existing workspace, render a "Continue with <name>" confirmation instead of the create form, which would otherwise hit a slug conflict the moment the user clicks Create. - runtimeListOptions(wsId, "me") similarly seeds Step 4's runtime — prefer first online, fall back to first. Step 5 resume path unchanged: if `agent` React state is null on re-entry, bootstrap runs the self-serve branch. Not ideal (user may have actually created an agent), but bootstrap's list-check approach (future work) will handle orphan detection symmetrically. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * refactor(onboarding): delete all skip/resume jump logic Flow always starts from Welcome. Questionnaire answers still pre-fill from user.onboarding_questionnaire. current_step is still PATCHed for future analytics but no UI code reads it for navigation. Removed from onboarding-flow.tsx: - pickInitialStep + isOnboardingStep (no server-driven entry point) - furthestStepRef + resolveNextStep (no edit-vs-first-pass branching) - runtimes useQuery + stepRuntime fallback (user walks through Step 3 linearly, so runtime React state is always populated by Step 4) - workspace resume fallback in runtimeWorkspace (same reasoning) Kept: - advanceOnboarding({ current_step, questionnaire? }) — server persistence, analytics-ready - StepQuestionnaire's initial prop from stored answers - workspaces useQuery (gated to step === "workspace" only) for existing-workspace detection on Step 2 to prevent slug conflicts when a previous onboarding was abandoned - Back buttons + handleBack (local-only navigation) - Error recovery on completeOnboarding via try/catch + toast Every transition handler is now a straight advance + setStep line. Users who close mid-flow and return walk the full flow from Welcome again — slight extra clicks, but each step shows meaningful confirm UI (existing workspace, connected runtimes, etc.) so it doesn't feel like repeated work. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(onboarding): grandfather existing users in the onboarded_at migration Folded the backfill into 050 itself (branch has not shipped to prod, so editing the migration in place is clean). Without this, once this branch deploys, every pre-existing user would be walled off into onboarding on their next login — a real production incident. Uses created_at rather than NOW() so analytics like "signup → onboarded interval" read correctly for pre-launch users. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * feat(onboarding): Step 1 questionnaire — two-column editorial layout Matches the onboarding(3) design spec: full-bleed two-column on lg+ (main + "Why we ask" side rail), collapses to single column below. - StepQuestionnaire rewritten with: - Mono 01/02/03 markers per question - Serif question headings (22px) - Editorial serif title ("Three answers. We'll handle the rest.") - Right-side rationale panel explaining what each answer unlocks - Sticky footer with hint + Continue CTA - Embeds StepHeader on the left column so it escapes the flow's narrow max-w-xl wrapper, same pattern Welcome uses - OptionCard redesigned: radio-dot marker + inset ring on select, matches design's .opt pattern - OtherOptionCard: text input appears below the row (not inside the card) with bottom-border-only styling, aligned under the label - onboarding-flow: questionnaire now early-returns full-bleed, joining Welcome as a hero-layout step Placeholder copy updated to match design examples; tests adjusted. * fix(onboarding): questionnaire uses 3-region app-shell layout Previous version had everything in a single scroll container with a sticky footer. As the user scrolled into the questions, the Back button and StepHeader progress indicator scrolled out of view, and sticky-bottom had edge cases with width-constrained flex nesting. Classic 3-region shell now: - Fixed header row: Back button (left) + StepHeader progress indicator — persistently visible regardless of scroll position - Scrollable middle: eyebrow / serif title / lede / 3 question blocks. Uses `flex-1 overflow-y-auto min-h-0` — the min-h-0 is the critical bit that lets a flex-1 child shrink below content height inside a flex column - Fixed footer row: hint (hidden < sm) + Continue CTA — always reachable, never scrolled off Right "Why we ask" panel is now an independent grid column with its own overflow, so the two columns scroll independently instead of the whole page having one shared scrollbar. Side panel width reduced 520 → 480 to give the question column more room on 1280/1366 screens where 1fr_520 left ~760px for content; 1fr_480 gives ~800-900px which comfortably fits the 620px max-w content column plus breathing room. * fix(onboarding): questionnaire needs DragStrip like every full-window view Traffic lights were overlapping the StepHeader progress dots because Step 1 escaped onboarding-flow's non-welcome wrapper (which renders <DragStrip />) without rendering its own. The codebase convention per packages/views/platform/drag-strip.tsx is: every full-window view places a DragStrip as the first flex child of each visible column. Adds DragStrip at the top of both the left (shell) and right ("Why we ask") columns, matching step-welcome.tsx which already did this. Traffic lights now land in the 48px transparent strip with no content collision; dragging from any top edge moves the window on Electron; border-l between columns runs edge-to-edge. Also made the right column's scroll container use `min-h-0 flex-1 overflow-y-auto` so its internal scroll activates independently of the left column. (Separately investigated: useImmersiveMode is no longer called anywhere in production code — the codebase has fully committed to the DragStrip pattern. No action needed on the hook itself.) * style(onboarding): drop top/bottom borders on questionnaire shell * style(onboarding): use chat-style scroll fade mask instead of border The questionnaire's scroll area now fades softly at top/bottom edges via `useScrollFade` (already used by chat-message-list.tsx) — the same mask-image linear-gradient pattern that fades content under the header/footer based on scroll position: - At top: only bottom fades (hint: more content below) - At bottom: only top fades (hint: content above) - In middle: both fade - Fits entirely: no mask This replaces the removed border-b/border-t on the header/footer with a softer, more editorial visual separation while giving an actual scroll-position affordance the border can't. * feat(onboarding): show "n of 3 answered" progress next to Continue Gives the user a glance-able progress signal as they fill the questionnaire. Static text, no extra UI primitives, no dynamic state variants — just `{n} of 3 answered` updating in place, left of the Continue button. Replaces the static "Your answers shape the next screens..." hint, which was always there regardless of progress and added noise. Same canContinue gate as before (all 3 answered), just derived from the new per-question check so we don't compute validity twice. * style(onboarding): drop redundant lede under questionnaire title The title already conveys the "we'll handle the rest for you" promise — the lede just rephrased it at length. Removed; bumped the question-list top margin (mt-8 → mt-10) to keep breathing room. * feat(onboarding): land redesigned flow + post-landing starter content opt-in This commit bundles the final onboarding-redesign work that sat in the working tree with today's architectural reshape of how starter content is handled. Splitting across sqlc-regenerated files would be fragile, so it ships as one logical unit — "onboarding is ready for production". Flow redesign (Steps 1–5) ------------------------- - Editorial two-column shells on Steps 1/2/3/4 (DragStrip + hero column + aside panel) — Welcome, Questionnaire, Workspace, Runtime, Agent - Web-only Step 3 fork (Download desktop / Install CLI / Cloud waitlist) lives alongside desktop's direct runtime picker; cloud path is interest-capture only, doesn't advance the flow - DragStrip extracted to packages/views/platform as a cross-platform component — 48px transparent drag row, no-op on web - recommend-template.ts + test: Q1–Q3 → AgentTemplate mapping Cloud waitlist -------------- - Migration 052: cloud_waitlist_email VARCHAR(254) + cloud_waitlist_reason TEXT - Handler: net/mail.ParseAddress + length bounds + reason trim - Frontend: CloudWaitlistExpand component + api.joinCloudWaitlist Drop persisted onboarding_current_step -------------------------------------- - The interim implementation persisted the user's furthest-reached step; the final design starts every entry at Welcome, so the column is dead - Migration 051 no longer adds it; migration 053 drops it IF EXISTS on any environment that ran the interim 051 — schema converges cleanly - UserResponse / User type / patchOnboarding signature all drop the field Post-landing starter content (new architecture) ----------------------------------------------- Why: the old design ran bootstrap inside Step 5 (welcome issue + Getting Started project + sub-issues, all in one try block). That had three defects — (1) non-idempotent: Retry after partial failure created duplicates; (2) sub-issue assignee raced listMembers → showed as "Unknown"; (3) skipped users (paths A/C/D) never got any starter content. All three are structural, not patchable. New design: onboarding ends at completeOnboarding() as before (gate is unchanged for useDashboardGuard). The 4 completion paths (Welcome skip / full flow / Runtime skip / Error recover) all just call completeOnboarding() and navigate to workspace. On landing, a StarterContentPrompt dialog renders exactly once per user (starter_content_state == null) with Import / No thanks. The dialog is mandatory — no X, no ESC, no outside-click — so state always ends in a terminal value. - Migration 054: starter_content_state TEXT, backfill 'skipped_legacy' for pre-feature onboarded users so they're never prompted - Server POST /api/me/starter-content/import: transactional claim (NULL → 'imported') + bulk create project + optional welcome issue + sub-issues + pins, all in one tx. 409 Conflict on second call - Server POST /api/me/starter-content/dismiss: transactional NULL → 'dismissed' - Import decides agent-guided vs self-serve by inspecting the workspace's agent list at dialog time — fixes path A (Welcome skip + existing agent) which was previously excluded from starter content - starter-content-templates.ts replaces bootstrap.ts: pure template builders, no API calls. Copy is reviewed as UI; server owns atomicity - StepFirstIssue is now just completeOnboarding() + navigate; error surface collapses to a Retry button (no more "Continue anyway" branch) - OnboardingCelebration + just-completed.ts removed (replaced by StarterContentPrompt which reads server state, not sessionStorage) Handler hardening ----------------- - PatchOnboarding: MaxBytesReader 16KB so the JSONB column can't be weaponized as bulk storage (every /api/me read returns the payload) - JoinCloudWaitlist: net/mail format check + explicit 254-char cap - ImportStarterContent: MaxBytesReader 64KB (templates are markdown-heavy but still bounded); welcome issue's agent_id verified in-workspace Tests ----- - Existing onboarding_test.go (waitlist) passes - step-platform-fork.test.tsx + recommend-template.test.ts (new) - apps/web test helpers updated for User.starter_content_state Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(onboarding): resolve Unknown assignee/creator + tighten prompt copy Two surface issues on the post-landing starter content dialog: 1. Unknown assignee & Created by ------------------------------- ImportStarterContent stored `member.id` (the membership row UUID) in `assignee_id` and `creator_id` for sub-issues. That mismatched the rest of the codebase — AssigneePicker and resolveActor in issue.go both store `user_id` for type="member", and `useActorName.getMemberName` looks members up by `user_id`. The mismatch meant the lookup never matched any member and fell through to the "Unknown" fallback. Fix: use `parseUUID(userID)` for both fields. The existing membership check stays for the 403 signal; we just no longer need the returned `member.ID`. 2. Dialog copy too long, button labels unclear ---------------------------------------------- Old copy was 3–4 paragraphs of instruction; users need to read less than that to make a binary choice. Buttons "Import starter tasks" and "No thanks" also didn't make it clear what "No thanks" actually does — it starts a blank workspace, so say so. New: - Title: "Welcome — add starter tasks?" - Body: one sentence describing the seeded content - Left button: "Start blank workspace" - Right button: "Add starter tasks" Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * refactor(onboarding): server decides starter content branch Problem: the old ImportStarterContent gated the agent-guided vs self-serve branch on a client-supplied `welcome_issue.agent_id` or null `welcome_issue`. The client made that decision by reading its React Query cache of the workspace's agent list — any timing quirk (cache not populated, stale, race with WS event) could lie to the server, and there was no way for the server to disagree. Users with an agent in the DB could still end up on the self-serve branch. Fix: the server is now authoritative. The client always sends both template arrays (agent_guided_sub_issues, self_serve_sub_issues) and a welcome_issue_template (title + description + priority, NO agent_id). Inside the import transaction the server runs ListAgents on the workspace — if there's at least one agent, it picks agents[0] (same ordering the client used: created_at ASC), uses agent_guided_sub_issues, and creates the welcome issue assigned to that agent. Otherwise it uses self_serve_sub_issues and skips the welcome issue. Side effect: the Unknown assignee/creator bug is structurally gone — no client-supplied id flows into assignee_id/creator_id for type= "member". The server uses actorID = parseUUID(userID) everywhere, matching resolveActor in issue.go. Client surface also simplifies: StarterContentPrompt drops useQuery(agentListOptions), the hasAgent check, the agentsFetched button gate, and the branch-specific copy. Dialog description is a single generic line ("If you already have an agent, we'll also seed a welcome issue it replies to right away"). buildImportPayload no longer takes an agentId parameter — one unconditional return shape. Payload grows ~15 KB (both sub-issue arrays always present); still well under the 64 KB MaxBytesReader cap. Uses "and others" rather than a closed list so we don't lock the copy to exactly three integrations. StarterContentPrompt dialog — reverted the short-lived "try Coding, Planning, Writing agents and more" rewrite. That was a misread of feedback meant for the Step 3 prerequisite, not the dialog. The dialog's current single-sentence "how agents, issues, and context work in Multica" is enough.
