fae7b046f2 feat(views): support the send shortcut in manual issue create (MUL-4931) (#5583)
* feat(views): support the send shortcut in manual issue create (MUL-4931)

Agent create has had Cmd/Ctrl+Enter all along; manual create had no submit
shortcut at all, in either the title or the description.

Reuse the configurable `send` action rather than hardcoding the chord, so a
rebound or unbound shortcut follows the user's setting and the IME guards and
Shift+Enter replay come along for free:

- Description: pass `onSubmit` to ContentEditor, which already carries the
  extension.
- Title: add an opt-in `onSubmitShortcut` to the shared TitleEditor. Plain
Enter stays inert there — #5532 removed that trigger a day ago because it
created from half-typed titles — and a single-line title has no newline to
trade Enter against, so the chord path refuses a plain-Enter `send` binding.
Hosts relying on plain-Enter submit (create-project, autopilot-dialog) keep
  `onSubmit` and are untouched.

Also fixes a real double-create: `submitting` is state, so two chord presses in
one tick both read the stale value and fired two creates. A ref flips
synchronously and single-flights both create panels.

Accessibility: the empty-title Create button moves from native `disabled` to
`aria-disabled`, so it stays focusable and keyboard/SR users can finally reach
the "Enter a title to create" tooltip. Keycaps are decorative, keeping the
accessible name "Create Issue". Empty-title chord submits now focus the title
instead of silently no-oping.

Widen the `send` setting description across all four locales — it claimed to
cover only chat, comments, replies, feedback and prompts.

Tests: real-ProseMirror coverage for the title chord (every other editor test
mocks Tiptap, so nothing verified extension ordering), plus chord/plain-Enter/
empty-title/upload-gate/single-flight/keycaps/aria-disabled cases. The
single-flight test dispatches both presses inside one act(); it fails against
the old state-based guard.

* test(views): cover quick-create single-flight + aria-disabled visuals (MUL-4931)

Review follow-up on #5583.

The quick-create ref guard shipped without a regression test, so the claim that
both create panels were covered was only true of manual create. That path files
a real issue, so a double-fire is a duplicate issue rather than a glitch. Add
the same-tick regression: both presses dispatch inside one act(), and it fails
against the old state-based guard (expected 1 call, got 2).

The Button base only styles native `disabled` (disabled:opacity-50 /
disabled:pointer-events-none), so the aria-disabled empty-title button stayed a
fully lit, pressable-looking primary. Add local aria-disabled opacity, cursor,
and press-animation styles, with no pointer-events-none — that would break the
tooltip hover and the click that focuses the title. Verified against compiled
Tailwind output: aria-disabled:active:translate-y-0 and the base's
active:not-aria-[haspopup]:translate-y-px have equal specificity and the
override emits later, so it wins without !important.

82906bd9e9 feat(settings): move create-issue field config into a Settings Issue tab (#5556)
The quick-create field toggles used to live inside the quick create
popover; per feedback on MUL-4873 they belong in the Settings page.
Adds a My Account 'Issue' tab with one group per create mode backed by
a new per-workspace issue-create-settings store, extends field
visibility to the manual dialog (status/priority/assignee/labels/
project/due date/start date with value-reveal and overflow re-entry),
and routes both dialogs' 'Customize fields' items to the tab.

4fcb27a729 fix(issues): attach labels in the create transaction (MUL-4832) (#5510)
* fix(issues): attach labels in the create transaction (MUL-4832)

Labels chosen at issue creation were attached in a second, non-atomic
round-trip after the issue was already committed (web modal looped
attachLabelToIssue per label; the create endpoint took no labels). A
partial failure of that follow-up left the issue committed but
mis-categorized, surfaced only as a toast.

Carry label_ids through the create request instead: the service
validates them (workspace + resource_type='issue') and attaches them
inside the same transaction as the issue insert, so the issue and its
labels commit together or not at all. An unknown or wrong-scope label
id now fails the whole create with 400 rather than being silently
dropped. Duplicate ids are idempotent (dedupe + ON CONFLICT DO NOTHING).

- server: IssueCreateParams.LabelIDs + ErrIssueLabelNotFound; validate
and attach in IssueService.Create; handler parses label_ids and maps
  the error to 400.
- web: create-issue modal forwards label_ids and drops the post-create
attach loop and its dead toast key.
- tests: handler coverage for atomic attach, stale-id 400 (no issue
left behind), duplicate-id idempotency, wrong-scope rejection; web
  test asserts label_ids is forwarded.

Scope is deliberately labels-only. The contributor PR #5475 also
auto-parsed an acceptance_criteria field from description text; that
introduces a new user-facing data contract with no defined edit/display
rules and is left out for a separate product decision.

* fix(issues): echo created labels + guard old-backend compat (MUL-4832)

Addresses review of #5510.

1. Create response + issue:created event now carry the labels attached in
the create transaction. IssueService.Create returns the authoritative
label snapshot; the handler sets it on both the HTTP response and the
issue:created broadcast payload. Without this, online members other than
the creator saw the new issue unlabeled indefinitely (staleTime: Infinity,
no invalidation) because this PR removed the old post-create
   issue_labels:changed broadcast.

2. New web + old backend compatibility. During the rolling deploy window the
web app can run ahead of the backend (web auto-deploys on merge, backend
deploys manually). An older backend ignores label_ids and returns an issue
with no labels field. The create modal now falls back to the legacy
per-label attach only when the response omits labels, so labels aren't
silently dropped; when labels is present the atomic path already ran and
no fallback fires. The backend always returns an explicit labels array
(empty when none) as the detection signal.

Tests: handler issue:created-carries-labels + response-carries-labels +
response-always-includes-labels; web modal no-fallback (new backend) and
fallback (old backend); ws-updaters keeps the label snapshot in list cache.

* fix(issues): validate create response through a schema (MUL-4832)

Addresses review of #5510 (must-fix 3).

The create modal keys its label-attach compatibility fallback off
`issue.labels` being absent (older backend) vs a validated Label[]
(current backend). But api.createIssue cast the raw JSON straight to
Issue, so a malformed labels value (null, an object, a garbage array)
would be !== undefined and wrongly suppress the fallback, caching a bad
shape — violating the repo's API Compatibility rule.

Parse the create response through CreateIssueResponseSchema:
- labels absent -> undefined (older-backend signal; fallback runs)
- labels valid -> Label[] (fully validated elements, not z.unknown())
- labels malformed -> undefined via .catch (safe: never masquerades as
handled; worst case a redundant re-attach, never a silent drop)
A whole-body parse failure degrades to EMPTY_ISSUE (never throws into
React), matching the existing parseWithFallback contract.

Tests: schema.test.ts covers absent / valid / null / wrong-element-shape
labels and the empty-issue degrade.

Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>

* fix(issues): reject a malformed create response instead of faking success (MUL-4832)

Follow-up to review of #5510. The prior fix degraded a schema-failed
create response to EMPTY_ISSUE, which React Query treats as a successful
mutation: the empty issue is written into the list cache, a blank
"created" toast shows, the "View issue" link points at an empty id, and
with labels the fallback attach runs against an empty issue id.

A create that returns an unusable body is a failed mutation, not a
safe-empty read. Fall back to null and reject: mutateAsync is already
inside the create modal's try/catch, so a controlled rejection preserves
the draft and shows the failure toast, and onSettled still refreshes the
list so a genuinely-created issue can still surface.

- CreateIssueResponseSchema tightens id to non-empty; an id-less body
routes to the same reject path.
- createIssue throws on parse failure (empty-message Error so the modal
renders its localized "failed to create" toast; parseWithFallback
already logged the schema issues + raw body).
- Dropped the EMPTY_ISSUE fallback constant.
- Tests: whole-body malformed and empty-id now assert createIssue
rejects; only-labels-malformed still returns the real issue with
  labels undefined.

3b08456264 feat(views): block draft-fixing actions while attachments upload (#5465)
Submitting a composer mid-upload silently lost the file: the editor holds a
`blob:` placeholder that gets stripped during serialization, and the
attachment id does not exist yet, so the send succeeded without the file.
Chat and Quick Create gated this; manual issue create, Feedback's button,
comments, replies and comment edit did not.

Gate every action that FIXES a draft — Send/Create/Save, Cmd/Ctrl+Enter,
Enter on the title, and the manual/agent mode switches — behind one source
of truth: the editor document, which IS the upload queue. ContentEditor
publishes queue transitions via `onUploadingChange` (a transaction listener,
not `onUpdate` — that path is debounced and skips no-change emissions, and a
failed upload leaves byte-identical markdown, so the un-gate would never
fire). `useUploadGate` pairs that render state with an `isBlocked()` re-read
at submit time, since the shortcut paths never consult the button.

The publisher emits its current answer on subscribe rather than only on
flips: hosts outlive editor instances (comment edit remounts on cancel,
chat swaps by key on agent switch), and an editor torn down mid-upload would
otherwise leave submit wedged shut with no pending node left to reopen it.

Also fixes the failure toast that never fired: `uploadWithToast` only
reported errors if a caller passed `onError`, and none did, so failed uploads
removed their placeholder and vanished unexplained. `useEditorUpload` now
supplies it once for every composer.

Per MUL-4808: drops Quick Create's upload-time lock on the attach button
(files can queue), and leaves description autosave ungated by design.

f4de0948a2 refactor(ui): unify ActorAvatar size tiers + round all avatars & cropper (MUL-4277, MUL-4184) (#5133)
* refactor(ui): converge ActorAvatar size to semantic tiers (MUL-4277)

Replace the free-form numeric `size` on ActorAvatar with a constrained
`AvatarSize` union (xs/sm/md/lg/xl/2xl) so avatar dimensions are chosen by
role instead of ad-hoc pixels. This eliminates the magic-number drift where
the same role rendered at different sizes across pages.

- Add `@multica/ui/lib/avatar-size` (AvatarSize union + AVATAR_SIZE_PX map +
  default tier).
- Base `ActorAvatar` (packages/ui) and business `ActorAvatar`/`AgentStatusDot`
(packages/views) now take `AvatarSize`; internal font/icon math and the
presence-dot threshold read px from the map.
- Migrate all web/desktop call sites (packages/ui + packages/views) from
numeric sizes to tiers using the role table
  (12,14->xs 16,18,20->sm 22,24,28->md 30,32,34->lg 40,44->xl 56,64->2xl).
- Token-ise the derived consumers `AgentAvatarStack` and
`IssueAgentActivityIndicator` (px looked up internally for overlap/+N math).

Out of scope (per plan): ui/avatar.tsx primitive, account-tab/AvatarPicker,
mobile, and component-name disambiguation.

* fix(ui): unify all avatars and the upload cropper to round (MUL-4277, MUL-4184)

main's avatar-shape decision rendered non-human actors (agent, squad,
system) and the workspace logo as rounded squares, and the upload cropper
mirrored that with a square crop window. Per the updated decision
(avatars_and_cropper_round_required), every avatar and the crop UI are now
circular; the square path is removed rather than left as dead config.

- Base ActorAvatar: always rounded-full (drop the isHuman/rounded-md split).
- avatar-crop-dialog: remove the AvatarCropShape/square path; crop window is
  always cropShape="round".
- avatar-upload-control: drop VARIANT_SHAPE; the control is always round and
no longer threads a shape to the dialog (variant still drives the fallback).
- Strip rounded-md/rounded-none square overrides from agent/squad/member
ActorAvatar call sites; round the read-only agent/squad static wrappers.
- WorkspaceAvatar: round the org logo so it matches the (now round) workspace
upload/crop and the shared avatar shape.

* fix(ui): make round avatar shape a hard invariant (MUL-4277)

Close the two remaining square squad-avatar paths flagged in review and
prevent call sites from re-squaring the avatar:

- base ActorAvatar: keep `rounded-full` as the last class in cn() so a
call-site `className` can no longer override the circle.
- SquadHeaderAvatar: drop `className="rounded"` (was overriding the base
circle into a small rounded square).
- SquadsPage no-avatar fallback: route through the shared ActorAvatarBase
  (`isSquad size="lg"`) instead of a hand-written rounded-md tile, so the
fallback matches the image path — one shape source of truth.

Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>

* fix(views): round the agent/squad avatar loading skeletons (MUL-4277)

The avatar placeholder skeletons on the agent/squad list, detail, and
profile-card loading states were still rounded squares (rounded-md/lg) from
the pre-round era, so the avatar visibly popped from square to circle on
load — inconsistent with the round avatars and with the member/inbox/issue
skeletons that already use rounded-full.

Round all five: agents-page, agent-detail-page, squads-page,
squad-detail-page, squad-profile-card.

c84a939c83 fix(views): enable multi-file selection on all attachment upload buttons (#4962)
The FileUploadButton component already fans out per-file onSelect
callbacks and every editor surface already handles N concurrent
uploads (drag-drop and paste were multi-file all along), but five
call sites never passed the `multiple` prop, so the OS file dialog
capped picks at one file: chat composer, create-issue modal,
quick-create modal, issue description, and feedback modal.

Fixes MUL-4074.

c4b116ec3a feat(views): expose add-label entry in create-issue dialog (#4846)
Adjust the manual create-issue dialog toolbar so the add-label entry is
surfaced directly, and move the lower-frequency due date into the ⋯ menu:

- Add a Labels picker in the slot Due date used to occupy. LabelPicker
gains a draft mode (no issueId): selection is held via selectedIds /
onSelectedIdsChange and attached to the issue right after it's created
(the create endpoint takes no labels), mirroring the sub-issue linking
  pattern already in this dialog.
- Collapse Due date into the ⋯ overflow menu with the same reveal rule as
Start date (inline only when it has a value or was just opened). Give
DueDatePicker the controlled open/onOpenChange props StartDatePicker
  already had.
- Persist chosen labels in the issue draft store (labelIds) like every
  other draft field.
- Add useAttachLabelToIssue (variables-based attach) so labels can be
  attached to a just-created issue.
- i18n: add create_issue.set_due_date and toast_link_labels_failed across
  en / zh-Hans / ja / ko.

4ab335b8a5 MUL-3416: Issue pre-trigger preview + Handoff Note (#4383)
* feat(issues): unify run-enqueue decision behind WillEnqueueRun + preview endpoint

Collapse the issue update/batch enqueue copies into one service predicate
service.IssueService.WillEnqueueRun, shared verbatim with a new dry-run
endpoint POST /api/issues/preview-trigger so the four entry points stop
drifting (squad/self-loop/batch omissions, MUL-3375). The private-agent gate
stays at the HTTP boundary: write paths inject allow-all, preview injects the
real gate so it never leaks a private agent's readiness.

Add suppress_run to issue update/batch: the change applies but no run starts.
Remove the now-dead handler mirrors shouldEnqueueSquadLeaderOnAssign /
isSquadLeaderReady. service.Create and the comment trigger chain are untouched.

Tests: preview behavior, preview<->write-path match, batch aggregation,
member no-trigger, suppress_run skip, malformed-body 400.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>

* feat(issues): inject handoff note into assigned runs via first-class task field

Add an optional handoff_note carried by issue assign/promote into the run's
opening prompt and issue_context.md, via a dedicated agent_task_queue column
(migration 122) and a daemon assignment-handoff render branch — never a
fabricated comment, never trigger_comment_id (MUL-3375 §6.1).

Thread the note through enqueueIssueTask/enqueueMentionTask + WithHandoff
public variants and dispatchIssueRun; suppress_run or a parked write drops it
(no run = nothing to inject). Soft version gate: MinHandoffCLIVersion +
HandoffSupported, surfaced per-trigger as handoff_supported in the preview so
the UI can gray the note box on old daemons; the assignment never hard-fails.

Tests: daemon prompt + issue_context render via the assignment branch (not
quick-create/comment), version helper matrix, note persists on the task,
suppressed assign enqueues nothing.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>

* feat(issues): leave a display-only handoff record on the timeline

When an assign/promote with a handoff note starts a run, write one
type='handoff' timeline record via TaskService.RecordHandoff — a direct
Queries.CreateComment + timeline event that bypasses Handler.CreateComment, so
it never reaches triggerTasksForComment and cannot start a second run
(MUL-3375 §6.2, the must-not-retrigger invariant). Author is the actor who
handed off; body is the note. Migration 123 admits the 'handoff' comment type.
Recorded only on a real run start: suppress_run or a parked write writes
nothing. enqueueSquadLeaderTask now reports whether it enqueued so the trace
is gated on an actual dispatch.

Test: exactly one handoff record on assign-with-note, exactly one task (no
re-trigger), and no record when suppressed.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>

* feat(issues): frontend plumbing for issue-trigger preview + handoff (core)

Add api.previewIssueTrigger + IssueTriggerPreviewSchema (zod parseWithFallback),
the use-issue-trigger-preview hook, issueKeys.issueTriggerPreview(+All) with WS
queue-state invalidation, suppress_run/handoff_note on UpdateIssueRequest, the
'handoff' CommentType, and stripping of the control fields from optimistic
update/batch cache patches (MUL-3375 §9).

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>

* fix(issues): exclude handoff records from new-comment counting

type='handoff' is a display-only timeline record, not conversation. Exclude it
from CountNewCommentsSince so a handoff note never inflates the count of
"new comments to catch up on" fed to a claiming agent (MUL-3375 §12). Analytics
already excludes it (RecordHandoff is a direct write that emits no analytics
event), and the comment-trigger path is already bypassed.

Test: a handoff record does not bump the new-comment count; a real comment does.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>

* feat(issues): pre-trigger preview UI, handoff note, timeline card (web/desktop)

Wire the §9 frontend onto the preview endpoint + handoff fields:
- Delete the backlog blocking dialog (backlog-agent-hint*) and its modal type;
the over-eager nag is gone. Backlog awareness is now a passive label.
- RunConfirmModal: single assign + batch assign/status route here. Shows the
  backend predicate's verdict ("将启动 @X" / "将启动 N 个" / parked), an optional
handoff note (assign only, soft-gated by handoff_supported), and 暂不启动 —
then applies via update/batch. No frontend guessing.
- create modal: passive CreateRunHint ("将启动 @X" / backlog parked).
- single status change stays a direct apply (unchanged).
- timeline: render type='handoff' as a distinct, non-interactive handoff card.
- i18n run_confirm + handoff_card across en/ja/ko/zh-Hans; drop backlog action
  keys; locale parity green.

Tests: use-issue-actions (assign → run-confirm modal, member → direct),
create-issue + comment-card suites updated/green; views typecheck + lint clean.

Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>

* test(issues): use a valid anchor in the handoff count-exclusion test

CountNewCommentsSince filters id <> @anchor_id; SQL id <> NULL is NULL and
excludes every row, so an empty anchor made the control assertion read 0. The
production caller always passes a real anchor — mirror that with a non-matching
sentinel uuid.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>

* test(issues): RunConfirmModal apply logic (start/suppress/note-gate/batch)

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>

* test(core): preview schema malformed/missing/null fallback coverage

Cover IssueTriggerPreviewSchema via parseWithFallback (MUL-3375): well-formed
parse, top-level + item default fills (empty/older backend), and fallback to
{ triggers: [], total_count: 0 } for malformed shapes, a dropped required
issue_id, a wrong-typed total_count, and null/non-object bodies — so the four
entry points degrade to "nothing will start" instead of throwing.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>

* refactor(issues): remove display-only handoff timeline record (留痕)

The handoff "留痕" timeline record (type='handoff' comment written on run
start) was judged superfluous and dropped per product call. This removes
only the display-only trace; the handoff NOTE injection into the run's
opening prompt + issue_context.md is untouched.

- backend: drop RecordHandoff + its call in dispatchIssueRun
- db: drop the `type <> 'handoff'` exclusion in CountNewCommentsSince and
  migration 123 (comment_type_check reverts to the 4-type set from 001);
no production data exists for this unreleased feature
- frontend: drop the "handoff" CommentType, HandoffCard, and handoff_card
  i18n (all locales)
- tests: drop handoff_count_test.go and the record-write assertions in
  issue_trigger_preview_test.go (note-injection tests retained)

* feat(issues): dismissable run-confirm modal + team-handoff copy

Two fixes to the pre-trigger confirm modal (MUL-3375).

1. Dismissable: switch RunConfirmModal from AlertDialog to the standard
shadcn Dialog so it has the close (X) button + Esc + click-outside.
Previously the only choices were "start" / "don't start now" with no
way to abort the action entirely; dismissing now cancels with no write.

2. Copy: rework the action-surface wording away from the backend term
"run" toward team-handoff voice — 指派 / 开始 / 交接 (run stays only on
record surfaces). Unifies the note's three names to "交接说明", and
   parallels the rewrite across en/ja/ko.

Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>

* chore(agent): bump handoff note min CLI version to 0.3.28

The daemon release that renders handoff notes ships in 0.3.28 (0.3.27
was the prior tag), so move the soft-gate threshold up. Below this the
note is silently dropped and the frontend grays the note box — assignment
is never blocked.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* fix(issues): skip run-confirm when batch-moving issues to backlog

A move into backlog never starts a run (service/issue_trigger.go), so the
pre-trigger confirm modal degenerated to an empty "won't start" box with a
single Apply button — pure friction. Apply directly instead, matching the
single-issue status path. Other target statuses still route through the
modal.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* feat(issues): refine pre-trigger preview hint and copy

- Move the create-issue run hint to a reveal band (grid 0fr→1fr) above the
property toolbar. It was sharing the footer button row and, lacking a
width constraint, reflowed the submit buttons whenever it appeared.
Restyle to a borderless, comment-style avatar+caption that is purely a
  caption (non-interactive avatar).
- Distinguish squad from agent in the pre-trigger copy: a squad's leader
evaluates and delegates rather than "starting work" itself. Add
  will_start_named_squad / will_start_squad / create_will_start_squad across
  en/zh/ja/ko (reusing the squad_leader_* evaluate→arrange vocabulary) and
branch run-confirm + the create hint on squad assignees.

* test(issues): stub ActorAvatar in create-issue suite

CreateRunHint now renders an ActorAvatar for agent/squad assignees, which
pulls in getActorInitials/getActorAvatarUrl + the workspace/presence/navigation
hook tree. This form-focused suite only stubbed getActorName, so the
squad-forwarding test crashed with "getActorInitials is not a function". Stub
the avatar inert — its own behavior is covered elsewhere.

a123dfc2df MUL-3508: stage sub-issues so the parent wakes per stage, not per child (#4410)
* feat(issues): stage sub-issues so the parent wakes per stage, not per child

Sub-issues under a parent can be grouped into ordered stages (issue.stage).
The child-done -> parent notification + assignee wake now fire only when a
stage barrier closes: every sub-issue in the lowest unfinished stage has
reached a terminal status (done/cancelled). An unstaged sibling set is one
implicit stage, so the parent is woken once when the last sub-issue finishes
instead of on every child — the default fix for the fire-on-every-child
cascade reported in discussion #4320 / MUL-3508.

Stage advancement stays agent-driven: the server only detects the closed
barrier and wakes the parent assignee, who decides whether to promote the
next stage.

- DB: nullable issue.stage (CHECK >= 1) + sqlc regen
- API: stage on issue create/update/response and batch update
- CLI: `issue create`/`issue update` --stage; new `issue children` command
that lists sub-issues grouped by stage (table + json)
- stageBarrierClosed / stageProgressSummary in issue_child_done.go, with the
wake comment now stage-aware, plus unit tests
- skill docs (multica-working-on-issues SKILL.md + source map)

Web UI (create-form stage picker, sidebar edit, group-by-stage display) is a
follow-up; the API already returns stage for it to consume.

* fix(issues): address review on stage barrier (cancel, batch, unstaged)

Resolves the three blockers from the PR review:

1. Cancel can close a stage. The child-done barrier now fires on any
non-terminal -> terminal transition (done OR cancelled), not just done.
isTerminalChildStatus already treats cancelled as terminal (a cancelled
sibling never finishes, so it must not hold a stage open), so a cancelled
last-open child now closes its stage and wakes the parent. Keying on the
transition also makes a later cancelled -> done edit a no-op, avoiding a
   lagging duplicate wake.

2. Batch update of stage no longer no-ops. `hasMutation` now includes
"stage", so `{"updates":{"stage":N}}` persists instead of returning
   {"updated": 0}.

3. Unstaged children no longer participate in the staged frontier. In a
staged sibling set, NULL-stage children neither hold a stage open nor fire
on their own completion, and the wake comment no longer renders "Stage 0".
This matches migration 123 ("NULL does not participate in staged
grouping") and the CLI's separate unstaged group, removing the footgun
where an unstaged backlog child silently blocked Stage 1.

Tests: cancellation closes a stage (staged + unstaged), unstaged ignored in a
staged set, stage summary skips unstaged, and a stage-only batch update
persists.

* feat(web): stage UI — create picker, sidebar edit, group sub-issues by stage

Frontend for the sub-issue stage feature (web + desktop, shared via packages):

- core: `stage` on the Issue type + create/update request types; zod
IssueSchema parses it (defaults to null for older backends) with schema
tests for the numeric and omitted cases.
- StagePicker component (mirrors the other property pickers): "No stage" +
Stage 1..N, offering one beyond the current/sibling max.
- Create-issue modal: a Stage pill, shown only when a parent is selected,
  threaded into the create payload.
- Issue detail sidebar: an editable Stage row + "add property" entry, gated to
  sub-issues (issues with a parent).
- Sub-issue list grouped by stage with per-stage headers (flat when unstaged).
- i18n: stage keys across en / zh-Hans / ja / ko (parity test passes).

Verified: full typecheck (6/6), core (591) + views (1433) vitest suites,
lint clean (no new findings). Backend/CLI shipped earlier in this PR.

* test(issues): add stage to Issue fixtures merged from main

The merge brought in new Issue fixtures that predate the required `stage`
field: core issues/batch.test.ts, views batch-action-toolbar.test.tsx, and
the mobile EMPTY_ISSUE_FALLBACK sentinel. Add `stage: null` so they satisfy
the Issue type (mobile reuses core's IssueSchema for parsing, so only the
sentinel needs it).

MUL-3508

* fix(web): feed StagePicker the sibling max stage so higher stages stay selectable

The StagePicker accepts maxStage to extend its option list beyond the
floored Stage 1-3, but neither call site passed it, so a parent with an
existing Stage 4/5 child could not pick that stage when creating a new
sub-issue or editing one in the sidebar.

- Compute the sibling max stage at both call sites: the create modal now
loads the parent's children (childIssuesOptions) and the detail sidebar
  reuses the already-loaded parentChildIssues.
- Extract maxSiblingStage + stageOptions as pure helpers on stage-picker
and unit-test them (the regression: a Stage 5 sibling keeps Stage 5
  selectable and offers Stage 6).

17714c3ad1 fix(create-issue): preserve parent_issue_id through Create with agent flow (MUL-2534) (#3083)
* fix(create-issue): preserve parent_issue_id through Create with agent flow (MUL-2534)

When the create-issue modal was opened from the "Add sub issue" entry on
an existing issue and the user switched to "Create with agent", the
parent_issue_id was silently dropped: switchToAgent only forwarded
prompt + actor + project_id, the AgentCreatePanel had no notion of
parent context, and the daemon prompt never instructed the agent to
pass --parent <uuid>. The sub-issue intent was lost and the new issue
landed as a standalone.

This fix threads parent_issue_id through the whole pipeline silently —
no new editable form field, the existing carry channel handles it:

- Frontend: ManualCreatePanel.switchToAgent + AgentCreatePanel.switchToManual
now carry parent_issue_id (and identifier, for display) so the sub-issue
intent survives mode flips in either direction. AgentCreatePanel reads
parent from `data`, forwards to api.quickCreateIssue, and renders a
read-only "Sub-issue of MUL-XX" chip so the user can see the relationship.
- API: quickCreateIssue accepts optional parent_issue_id.
- Backend: QuickCreateIssueRequest validates parent_issue_id belongs to the
same workspace (same path as CreateIssue), persists it in
QuickCreateContext, and the daemon claim handler resolves the parent's
  identifier for prompt context.
- Daemon prompt: when ParentIssueID is set, buildQuickCreatePrompt instructs
the agent to pass `--parent <uuid>` and treat the modal entry point as
  authoritative.

Tests cover all three hops: switchToAgent carry payload, AgentCreatePanel →
api.quickCreateIssue, and the daemon prompt's --parent injection (with both
identifier-present and UUID-only fallback branches).

Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>

* test(create-issue): cover quick-create parent trust boundary + identifier fallback (MUL-2534)

Address review on PR #3083:

- Add server-side test for POST /api/issues/quick-create parent_issue_id:
  same-workspace parent threads through QuickCreateContext.ParentIssueID,
foreign-workspace and bogus UUIDs return 400 and never enqueue a task.
- Fall back to `data.parent_issue_identifier` in ManualCreatePanel's
switchToAgent when the parent detail query hasn't hydrated yet, so the
agent chip never renders "Sub-issue of " with an empty tail.

f2e6dc75bd feat(create-issue): collapse start date into ⋯ overflow menu (#3063)
Start date is a low-frequency field for most issues, so the always-on
inline pill was crowding the property toolbar. Move it behind the ⋯
overflow menu by default: the pill only appears once a value is set,
or transiently while the calendar popover is open after the user picks
"Set start date..." from the menu. Closing the popover without a value
returns the pill to the menu-only state.

To make the menu item open the popover programmatically, lift the
picker's open state via new controlled `open` / `onOpenChange` props
(matching the priority-picker pattern).

933f417dac fix(views): clear manual draft when packing into agent prompt (#2370)
When alternately switching between manual and agent modes in the create-issue
dialog, the title and description were being duplicated and accumulated on
every round-trip. Root cause: manual→agent packed title+description into the
agent prompt but left them in the shared useIssueDraftStore; the subsequent
agent→manual wrote the agent markdown into draft.description while the stale
draft.title persisted, so the remounted manual panel surfaced both.

Clear title/description from the shared draft at the moment they move into
the agent representation, so round-trips can't layer stale manual state on
top of prompt-as-description.

20c2f45b4a fix(views): surface backend error messages on mutation failures (MUL-2317) (#2772)
* fix(views): surface backend error messages on mutation failures (MUL-2317)

Mutation toasts across the views package were swallowing the backend
`error` string and showing only a generic i18n fallback. This made it
impossible for users to see why an operation failed (most visibly:
creating an issue with a duplicate title produced a vague "Failed to
create issue" toast).

The fix has three pieces:

1. Create-issue duplicate branch (A段)
   - New schema `DuplicateIssueErrorBodySchema` in core/api/schemas.ts.
   - `create-issue.tsx` parses `ApiError.body` via `parseWithFallback`
and renders a dedicated amber-toned toast with a "view existing"
link when the server returns `{ code: "active_duplicate_issue",
issue: {...} }`. Schema drift downgrades to the normal error toast.
   - Schema intentionally omits `issue.status` so the toast does not
depend on `StatusIcon`, which has no fallback for unknown enums.

2. User-facing mutation failure toasts (B段)
   - 47 sites converted to `err instanceof Error && err.message ?
     err.message : <existing fallback>` — preserves all existing
     code-specific branches (slug conflict, agent_unavailable,
     daemon_version_unsupported) and i18n keys.
   - Covers Type 1 (onError) and Type 2 (catch block) patterns across
issues, projects, autopilots, inbox, runtimes, squads, comments,
batch actions, workspace create, and agent config tabs.

3. Autopilot partial-success (Type 3)
   - New i18n keys `toast_create_partial_with_reason` /
     `toast_update_partial_with_reason` (double-brace `{{reason}}`).
   - `autopilot-dialog.tsx` captures `err.message` in the schedule
`catch` and routes to the `_with_reason` variant when present,
preserving the partial-success semantic (autopilot saved, schedule
failed) while exposing the actual reason.

Explicitly out of scope:
- `packages/core/` mutation hooks (no global onError, no UI dependency)
- No `toastApiError` helper (matches existing 14+ correct sites)
- Sub-issue link aggregate `Promise.allSettled` keeps count-based toast
(N independent requests cannot collapse to one err.message); only
  added a dev-side `console.error` per rejection.
- Clipboard catches and `useUpdateChatSession` (not API mutation toasts)

Tests:
- `packages/core/api/schemas.test.ts` — schema contract (valid body,
forward-compat fields, rename rejection, missing issue, wrong types).
- `packages/views/modals/create-issue.test.tsx` — duplicate toast +
  view link, schema-drift fallback, err.message surfacing, non-Error
  fallback (4 new cases).
- `packages/views/autopilots/components/autopilot-dialog-i18n.test.ts`
  — real i18next, asserts rendered text contains the reason verbatim
(guards against `{reason}` vs `{{reason}}` regression).

* fix(autopilots): unify rotate-token catch + cover dialog partial-success render

Address reviewer feedback on PR #2772:

1. webhook-token rotate (`autopilot-detail-page.tsx`) now follows the
`err.message ?? fallback` ternary used by the sibling trigger
delete/add paths, instead of swallowing the error.

2. Extract `formatSchedulePartialFailureToast` so the dialog's
partial-success branches and the i18n test exercise the same
helper. The test now drives the actual format function, so a
variable-name typo at the call site (e.g. `{ msg }` instead of
`{ reason }`) fails the substring assertion.

Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>

* test(modals): drop user.type for title in success path to dodge CI 5s timeout

The success-path test typed the 42-character title via userEvent which
triggers a controlled re-render per keystroke. On the slower CI runner
the whole test crept up to ~5s and intermittently tripped the default
vitest timeout. Setting the value in one shot via fireEvent.change cuts
the cost while leaving the submit + toast interactions on userEvent.

3645bdb5b6 feat(issues): add start_date field with progressive disclosure (MUL-2274) (#2696)
* feat(issues): add start_date field with progressive disclosure (MUL-2274)

Mirrors the existing due_date implementation end-to-end so an issue can
express a planned start in addition to a deadline. Surfaces start_date as
an optional sidebar property alongside priority / due_date / labels (added
in MUL-2275), with consistent picker, board/list/sort, activity, and inbox
plumbing.

Backs the Project Gantt work (parent MUL-1881) and keeps the
progressive-disclosure attribute experience consistent.

- DB: migration 091 adds issue.start_date TIMESTAMPTZ.
- sqlc: ListIssues / CreateIssue / UpdateIssue / CreateIssueWithOrigin /
  ListOpenIssues read & write start_date.
- Backend: IssueResponse + create/update/batch-update handlers parse and
emit start_date with RFC3339 validation; new start_date_changed activity
event + subscriber notification (with prev_start_date in event payload).
- CLI: --start-date flag on `multica issue create` / `issue update`.
- Frontend: StartDatePicker component, start_date wired into Issue type,
Zod schema, draft / view stores, sort util, header sort + card-property
  options, list-row / board-card display, create-issue modal, and the
  issue-detail progressive-disclosure "+ Add property" surface (visibility
rule, picker row, add-property menu icon + label).
- i18n: en + zh-Hans for sort_start_date / card_start_date /
  prop_start_date / activity start_date_set / start_date_removed /
  picker start_date.trigger_label / clear_action / inbox labels.
- Tests: new TestNotification_StartDateChanged; existing Issue / draft /
  modal fixtures extended with start_date.

Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>

* feat(issues): align start_date with due_date in actions menu and CLI table

- Add Start Date submenu (today / tomorrow / next week / clear) in
actions menu, mirroring Due Date — parity with the Due Date quick
setters in list/board context and 3-dot menus.
- Add corresponding en / zh-Hans i18n keys
  (actions.start_date / start_today / start_tomorrow / start_next_week
  / start_clear).
- CLI human table for `multica issue list` and `multica issue get`
now shows a START DATE column next to DUE DATE; --full-id variant
  too.

0345285b86 feat(quick-create): searchable actor picker + squad support (#2552)
* feat(quick-create): searchable actor picker + squad support (MUL-2163)

- Replaces the flat agent dropdown in the "Create with agent" modal with a
searchable PropertyPicker that lists Agents and Squads in separate
sections, so users can filter by name and pick a squad as the creator.
- Persists the selection as (lastActorType, lastActorId), removing the
agent-only lastAgentId field on the quick-create store.
- Adds squad_id to the quick-create API request and stamps it onto the
task's QuickCreateContext. The handler resolves the squad to its leader
agent (re-using validateAssigneePair) and the daemon claim path injects
the squad-leader briefing when the task carries a squad hint, matching
the behavior of issue-bound squad tasks.

Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>

* fix(create-issue): forward squad picks across manual→agent switch

Manual mode → agent mode previously only carried `agent_id`, so picking
a squad and then flipping to agent silently fell back to the persisted
actor / first visible agent and lost the user's choice. Carry `squad_id`
on the same branch so the agent panel honors the squad pick.

Adds a sibling test alongside the existing project-carry case.

003dfd9b4b feat(quick-create): add project picker that remembers last pick (#2321)
* feat(quick-create): add project picker that remembers last pick

Quick-create users targeting one project repeatedly had to restate "in
project X" in every prompt. The modal now exposes a project picker beside
the agent picker, persists the selection per-workspace, and pins the
agent's `multica issue create` invocation to that project so the prompt
text doesn't have to.

The picked project also flows to the daemon as ProjectID/ProjectTitle and
its github_repo resources override the workspace repo fallback — same
treatment issue-bound tasks already get.

Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>

* fix(quick-create): move project picker into property pill row

Reviewer feedback: the picker felt out of place wedged next to the agent
header. Move it into a property toolbar row above the footer, reusing the
shared `ProjectPicker` + `PillButton` so its placement and styling line up
exactly with the manual create panel.

This also drops the bespoke dropdown / aria / label strings that were only
needed while the picker rendered inline beside "Created by".

Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>

* fix(quick-create): clear stale persisted project + carry across mode switch

Two review-blocking bugs in PR #2321:

1. The stale-id sweep in AgentCreatePanel only fired when projects.length > 0
and only cleared local state, leaving lastProjectId pointing at a deleted
project. The next open re-seeded the dead UUID and submit hit the server's
`project not found` rejection. Gate on the query's `isSuccess` so we can
tell "loading" apart from "loaded as empty", and clear both local state
and the persisted preference when the selection isn't in the resolved list.

2. ManualCreatePanel's switchToAgent dropped the picked project from the carry
payload, so flipping manual → agent silently fell back to the agent panel's
own lastProjectId — potentially routing the issue to a different project
than the one shown in manual mode. Forward project_id alongside prompt /
agent_id, and add a regression test.

Co-authored-by: multica-agent <github@multica.ai>

* test(quick-create): pass new isExpanded props in stale-project tests

Main got an expand button on AgentCreatePanel via #2320 while this branch
was open, adding `isExpanded` / `setIsExpanded` to the panel's required
props. The two new stale-project tests still passed `{ onClose }` only,
which CI's typecheck (run on the main+branch merge) caught while my
local run did not.

- Per namespace:
    1. create locales/{en,zh-Hans}/{ns}.json
    2. add to packages/views/i18n/resources-types.ts
    3. useT('{ns}') + t($ => $.foo) in components
    4. add files to TRANSLATED_FILES in eslint.config.mjs
    5. typecheck + test + lint must pass
- Subagents currently CANNOT write files (sandbox deny). Run as

* docs(i18n): rewrite glossary aligned with docs zh voice

Switch translation policy to match the canonical CN voice already
established in apps/docs/content/docs/*.zh.mdx (20+ files). The new
rule splits product nouns into two classes:

- Typed entities (issue / project / skill / autopilot / task) — kept as
lowercase English in CN text, visually marking them as system types.
- Concepts (workspace / agent / daemon / runtime / inbox) — fully
translated (工作区 / 智能体 / 守护进程 / 运行时 / 收件箱).

Previous glossary kept Workspace / Agent / Daemon / Runtime as English
on "工程惯例" grounds, but docs zh and CN AI ecosystem (Coze / 腾讯元器
/ 百度) consistently translate these. App UI now matches docs voice so
users don't see split personality between the app and its own docs.

* fix(i18n): register 6 namespaces and retrofit zh strings to new glossary

Two fixes that were blocking the previously-translated namespaces from
actually rendering in CN:

1. RESOURCES gap — locales/index.ts only loaded common/auth/settings,
but resources-types.ts declared 12 namespaces and 6 of them had real
translation content. At runtime i18next would fall back to raw keys
   for editor / invite / labels / members / my-issues / search.
   Register all 9 currently-translated namespaces.

2. Retrofit zh strings to the docs-aligned glossary:
   - "Issue" → "issue" (lowercase entity)
   - "Workspace" → "工作区"
   - "Agent" → "智能体"
   - "Runtime" → "运行时"
   - "Skill" → "skill" (lowercase)
   - "项目" → "project" (lowercase)

Touched: editor.json (sub_issue + mention.group_issues), invite.json
(3 Workspace occurrences), members.json (agents_section / more_agents),
my-issues.json (8 retrofits across page/header/errors), search.json
(13 retrofits across groups/pages/commands/empty).

Verified: pnpm typecheck (6/6) + pnpm test (238/238) all green.

* feat(i18n): translate inbox namespace

First namespace through the sub-agent → main-agent integration pipeline.

JSON: en/inbox.json + zh-Hans/inbox.json — 60 keys across page / menu /
list / detail / types / labels / errors. Time-formatter labels are kept
compact in EN ("5m" / "3h" / "2d") and use full units in zh ("5 分钟" /
"5 小时" / "5 天") since raw "5 分" reads as "5 marks/points" in CN.

Component changes converted two module-level statics into hooks so the
strings can flow through i18next:

- inbox-list-item.tsx: `timeAgo` (pure fn) → `useTimeAgo` (hook
returning a fn). The local copy is a duplicate of @multica/core/utils
`timeAgo` that is only used by inbox-page; other consumers across
chat/agents/skills/issues stay on the core util for now and will be
  translated when their namespaces land.

- inbox-detail-label.tsx: `typeLabels` (static const Record) →
`useTypeLabels` (hook returning the same Record shape). Call sites
keep the existing `typeLabels[type]` access pattern.

inbox-page.tsx now uses both hooks and `useT('inbox')` selector calls
for all hardcoded strings (~24 sites: header / dropdown menu / list
empty state / detail panel / mobile back / quick-create-failed flow /
all error toasts).

Wired up: resources-types.ts, locales/index.ts RESOURCES, ESLint
TRANSLATED_FILES (3 inbox tsx files now lint-protected).

Verified: pnpm typecheck (6/6) + pnpm --filter @multica/views test
(238/238) + ESLint clean on inbox/.

* feat(i18n): translate workspace namespace

Translates the three workspace shell views: create-workspace-form,
new-workspace-page, no-access-page. Also fixes the prior-art
no-unescaped-entities lint errors in no-access-page.tsx — the
apostrophes in "doesn't" / "don't" were JSX text literals that move
into JSON values after translation, so the lint rule no longer fires.

Tests wrapped: workspace/create-workspace-form.test.tsx,
workspace/no-access-page.test.tsx, modals/create-workspace.test.tsx
all now wrap render() with <I18nProvider locale="en"> so the en values
in workspace.json drive the rendered text and the existing assertions
continue to match.

Slug constants kept: WORKSPACE_SLUG_FORMAT_ERROR /
WORKSPACE_SLUG_CONFLICT_ERROR exports in workspace/slug.ts are still
imported by onboarding/steps/step-workspace.tsx (out of scope here).
The workspace shell now reads its strings from workspace.json directly.

Multica.ai brand prefix in the slug input affordance is wrapped with
an inline `// eslint-disable-next-line i18next/no-literal-string` per
glossary policy on brand names.

Renamed sign_in_other → sign_in_different to avoid colliding with
i18next's `_other` plural-suffix convention which the selector-API
typings treated as a plural form of `sign_in`.

* feat(i18n): translate projects namespace

Translates the projects list page, project detail page, project picker
dropdown, and project chip — all four user-facing surfaces under
packages/views/projects/components/.

New file: projects/components/labels.ts exposes three hooks that
replace the static `.label` field on PROJECT_STATUS_CONFIG /
PROJECT_PRIORITY_CONFIG and the previous module-level
`formatRelativeDate` helper. Core's `.label` stays untouched (it's
still consumed by search and the create-project modal, both
out-of-scope for this namespace) — those will flip when their
respective namespaces translate.

In zh, the "project" entity stays lowercase English per glossary
(`新建 project`, `还没有 project`, `从 project 移除`). Status / priority /
table column labels translate fully.

The cancelled / done / paused etc. status labels duplicate per-
namespace as `projects.status.*` rather than reading from a future
shared status namespace. This matches the auth/inbox/workspace
pattern of self-contained namespaces. If a generic "issue/project
status" pool emerges later, these can collapse.

Verified: pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck (clean) +
test (238/238) + ESLint clean on projects/ (1 pre-existing warning
about useEffect/sidebarRef dep, unrelated to i18n).

* feat(i18n): translate autopilots namespace

Six tsx files: autopilots-page (list + 6 templates), autopilot-detail-page
(properties / triggers / run history / delete), autopilot-dialog
(create + edit dialog), trigger-config (cron form), and the agent /
timezone pickers.

Hook conversions for module-level helpers that need t():
- summarizeTrigger / describeTrigger → useSummarizeTrigger /
useDescribeTrigger (no external callers, removed the plain exports)
- formatRelativeDate → useFormatRelativeDate (per-component hook)
- formatCountdown → useFormatCountdown (per-component hook)
- TEMPLATES array now keyed by id; titles + summaries pull from
templates/{id}/{title,summary} JSON. Prompts stay raw EN since
they're injected directly into the agent task — translating them
would translate the agent's instructions, not the user's UI.

Status / execution-mode / run-status enums render via t($ => $.status[k])
with k typed against the core type (no separate hook needed).

Verified: pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck (clean) +
test (238/238) + ESLint clean on autopilots/.

* feat(i18n): translate skills namespace

Seven tsx files: skills-page (list + filters + intro banner),
skill-detail-page (the giant — properties + file tree + sidebar +
conflict banner + delete dialog, ~963 lines), create-skill-dialog
(chooser + manual + URL forms), runtime-local-skill-import-panel
(local runtime browse + import), skill-columns, file-tree, file-viewer.

Notable patterns:
- `createSkillColumns` factory → `useSkillColumns` hook so column
headers flow through useT. Column identity changes per render is
  fine — DataTable handles it.
- `validateNewFilePath` (pure helper) → `useValidateNewFilePath` hook
so the 5 validation error messages can be translated.
- skill_files / used_by / description_with_agents use i18next plural
  keys (`_one` / `_other`) — the type system collapses these into a
single PluralValue access, so call sites use
  `t($ => $.foo, { count })` and i18next picks the form.
- Per glossary, "skill" stays lowercase EN in zh ("新建 skill",
  "已删除 skill", "未找到该 skill").

Test wrapper: runtime-local-skill-import-panel.test.tsx now wraps
render() with <I18nProvider> so the assertion on /Import to Workspace/i
matches the EN translation.

Verified: pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck (clean) +
test (238/238) + ESLint clean on skills/.

* feat(i18n): translate chat namespace

Translates all 10 chat surfaces: FAB tooltip, input placeholders,
message list (replied-in / failed-after / tools group / show-details
/ tool result preview), session history (header + time-ago labels),
chat window (new-chat / restore / expand / minimize / agent + session
dropdowns / starter prompts / empty states), context-anchor button +
card tooltips, no-agent banner, offline / unstable banner, and the
task-status pill (queued / starting up / thinking / typing + tool
labels: running command / reading files / searching code / making
edits / searching web).

Hook conversions:
- formatTimeAgo (chat-session-history) → useFormatTimeAgo
- ElapsedCaption now takes a typed `variant` ("replied" | "failed")
instead of a free-text `verb` so the i18n key is enumerable
- pickStage (task-status-pill) refactored: pure pickStageKeys returns
StageKey + optional ToolKey; useResolveStage maps to localized labels

Translation policy notes:
- Starter prompts ("List my open tasks by priority", etc.) are user
UI when displayed AND the user's input when clicked — translating
them sends the agent the user's locale-native phrasing, which is
the right UX for a CN user using a CN agent.
- buildAnchorMarkdown (chat-window) stays in English: it's an
agent-bound markdown prefix injected into the outgoing message,
  not user-facing UI.

Verified: pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck (clean) +
test (238/238).

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* feat(i18n): translate modals namespace

Translates all 11 modal sources: registry (no UI text), backlog-agent-hint,
set-parent-issue, add-child-issue, delete-issue-confirm, feedback,
issue-picker, create-workspace, create-project, create-issue (manual),
quick-create-issue (agent panel).

Notable patterns:
- create-project re-uses useProjectStatusLabels / useProjectPriorityLabels
hooks from views/projects/components/labels — same translation source
as the projects list / detail, no duplication.
- create-issue.tsx: renamed `toast.custom((t) => ...)` callback param to
`toastId` to avoid shadowing the closure-captured useT() `t` function.
- Test wrapper added to modals/create-issue.test.tsx so the two assertions
on rendered modal text (success toast + Create another) match the EN
bundle. modals/create-workspace.test.tsx was already wrapped (workspace
  ns commit).

Verified: pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck (clean) +
test (238/238).

* feat(i18n): translate settings namespace (rest of tabs)

Builds on the appearance-tab + language switcher already shipped in
Phase 0. Translates the remaining 8 settings surfaces: settings-page
shell (left nav + tab keys), account / profile, notifications-tab
(5 group labels + descriptions), tokens-tab (create / list /
revoke / created dialog), workspace-tab (general fields + danger
zone + leave/delete confirmations), members-tab (invite + role
config + revoke / remove flows), repositories-tab, labs-tab,
delete-workspace-dialog.

Hook conversion: members-tab `roleConfig` static const → `useRoleLabels`
hook returning a Record<MemberRole, {label, description, icon}>. The
icon stays as a typed React component (Crown / Shield / User), so
rendering pattern is unchanged at call sites.

Test wrapper: settings/components/delete-workspace-dialog.test.tsx
now wraps render() with <I18nProvider> (custom render() helper)
because the test asserts on rendered button labels ("Delete workspace",
"Cancel", "Deleting...").

Verified: pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck (clean) +
test (238/238).

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* feat(i18n): translate runtimes namespace (entry surfaces)

Translates the user-facing runtime list page surfaces:
runtimes-page (header / search / filters / chips / empty / no-matches /
bootstrapping), runtime-detail (topbar + delete dialog + delete toasts),
runtime-detail-page (not-found state), shared.tsx (4-state HealthBadge
labels).

Hook conversion: shared `healthLabel(health)` was a pure module-level
function. Added `useHealthLabel` hook for translated call sites; kept
`healthLabel` as an EN-only fallback for non-component callers (column
factory in runtime-columns).

Deferred:
- runtime-list / runtime-columns (data table column headers + cell
bodies) — large surface, not in the page-load critical path.
- connect-remote-dialog / update-section / usage-section — secondary
flows, English remains acceptable until a focused pass.
- charts/* — primarily numeric tooltips and axes; minimal user-visible
  text.

Verified: pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck (clean) +
test (238/238).

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* feat(i18n): translate layout namespace (sidebar nav, help, loader)

Translates the cross-cutting layout chrome:
- 9 sidebar nav labels (inbox / my issues / issues / projects /
  autopilots / agents / runtimes / skills / settings) — driven by
labelKey instead of inline strings, resolved via useT at render.
- HelpLauncher dropdown (trigger aria + 3 items: Docs / Change log
  / Feedback)
- WorkspaceLoader (named + unnamed loading states)
- SortablePinItem unpin tooltip

Pattern shift in app-sidebar.tsx: nav arrays carry `labelKey: NavLabelKey`
(typed against the layout JSON) instead of `label: string`. The string
comparison checks (`item.label === "Inbox"`) became cleaner ID-based
checks (`item.key === "inbox"`).

Deferred: deeper sidebar surfaces — workspace switcher dropdown,
"New Issue" CTA, "Pinned" / "Workspace" / "Configure" group labels —
remain English. The 9 nav labels are the ones that read in every
session.

Verified: pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck (clean) +
test (238/238).

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* feat(i18n): translate onboarding namespace (welcome + step header)

Translates the user-first-impression surfaces of the onboarding flow:

- step-welcome.tsx (the wordmark, headline, lede paragraphs, all CTAs:
Download Desktop / Continue on web / Start exploring / I've done
  this before, illustration caption)
- step-header.tsx ("Step N of M" counter + matching aria-label)
- onboarding-flow.tsx (skip-onboarding error toast)

Test wrapper added to onboarding/components/step-header.test.tsx —
custom render() helper wraps with <I18nProvider> so the "Step 2 of 5"
assertions match the EN bundle.

Deferred (acceptable English fallback for now): step-questionnaire,
step-workspace, step-runtime-connect, step-platform-fork, step-agent,
step-first-issue, cli-install-instructions, option-card, runtime
aside panels, starter-content-prompt, cloud-waitlist-expand. These
are deeper steps with significant copy that would benefit from a
focused dedicated pass — voice on each is more nuanced (questionnaire
options, runtime install instructions, agent template recommendations).

Verified: pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck (clean) +
test (238/238).

* test(i18n): add EN/zh-Hans key parity guard

Schema-level vitest that walks RESOURCES.en and RESOURCES["zh-Hans"]
namespace by namespace and asserts both bundles cover the same key
set. i18next plural rule is normalized before compare (`_one` /
`_other` collapse to a single logical key) so EN's plural pair
matches zh's `_other`-only form.

Catches retrofit drift where a new EN key lands without zh —
previously this would silently fall back to the English string in
production. Cheap to keep green: 39 tests across 21 namespaces in
under a second.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* feat(i18n): translate issues namespace

Translates the entire issues surface — list / board / detail / comments /
sub-issues / activity feed / batch toolbar / pickers / context menu /
backlog-agent hint dialog / labels panel.

Component coverage:
- issues-page (page header, empty state, move-failed toast)
- issues-header (scope tabs, filter dropdowns w/ status/priority/
assignee/creator/project/label, display settings, sort, view toggle)
- issue-detail (page header, breadcrumb, properties / parent issue /
details / token usage sections, sub-issues, activity timeline,
  formatActivity for status/priority/assignee/title/due-date changes,
  subscribe/subscriber popover)
- comment-card + comment-input + reply-input (delete dialog, edit/save,
copy/edit/delete row, reply count, placeholders, expand/collapse)
- agent-live-card (is-working banner, tool count, stop / transcript)
- execution-log-section (section header, show/hide past runs, trigger
  text builder, status labels, cancel-task)
- batch-action-toolbar (selected count, delete dialog with plurals)
- backlog-agent-hint-dialog (full dialog content)
- labels-panel (intro, create form, list, delete dialog)
- pickers (status / priority / assignee / due-date / label / property
  search placeholder + no-results)
- issue-actions-menu-items (all dropdown / context menu items)
- use-issue-actions / use-issue-timeline (toast strings)

STATUS_CONFIG / PRIORITY_CONFIG label rendering routed through
$.status[enum] / $.priority[enum] at every call site; the core config
keeps its English fallback for non-i18n consumers but UI never reads
.label directly anymore.

Tests retrofitted: issues-page, issue-detail, and issue-actions-menu
RTL specs now wrap renders in <I18nProvider> with the EN bundle, so
their string assertions match the bundle (not hardcoded literals).

ESLint i18next allow-list extended to 24 issues files. Verified:
pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck + test (277/277) all green.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* feat(i18n): translate agents namespace

Translates the agents listing + detail surface and the create/duplicate
flow. Covers the high-frequency surfaces; deeper sub-tab editors
(activity / instructions / skills / env / custom-args bodies, and the
hooks-buggy runtime/model/concurrency pickers) are deferred — they
have their own pre-existing react-hooks rule violations and benefit
from a focused dedicated pass.

Component coverage:
- agents-page (page header w/ tagline + new button, scope segment,
search, sort dropdown, availability chips, archived toolbar, empty
  state, no-matches messaging w/ search interpolation, list-load
  error)
- agent-detail-page (back link, archived banner, archive dialog,
not-found state, all 4 toast strings)
- agent-detail-inspector (avatar editor, name + description popover,
description dialog, every PropRow label, validation message,
presence badge label sourced from $.availability[enum])
- agent-overview-pane (tab labels, discard-unsaved-changes dialog)
- create-agent-dialog (title / description / labels / placeholders /
duplicate-suffix / runtime filter buttons / runtime status copy)
- agent-row-actions (full dropdown items + cancel-tasks dialog with
  pluralized "N running + M queued" summary + archive dialog + 6 toasts)
- agent-columns (every header cell, You / Archived chips, runtime
fallback labels, availability + workload labels via $.availability /
  $.workload, activity tooltip body w/ created_today / created_days_ago
  / runs / failed-percent interpolation)
- inspector/skill-attach (Attach trigger label + aria)

availabilityConfig and workloadConfig now keep colors only — the
display label lives in the bundle, sourced via $.availability[enum]
and $.workload[enum] at every call site. Same pattern as
STATUS_CONFIG/PRIORITY_CONFIG in the issues namespace.

ESLint i18next allow-list extended to 8 agents files.
Verified: pnpm --filter @multica/views typecheck + test (277/277)
all green.

* fix(i18n): clear 30 stray EN strings in translated files

Tail of literal strings missed in earlier passes — the ESLint i18next
allow-list flagged them but they slipped through review. Files touched:

- layout/app-sidebar.tsx (10 keys: Workspaces / Pending invitations /
Create workspace / Join / Decline / Log out / New Issue + shortcut /
  Pinned / Workspace / Configure)
- runtimes/components/runtime-detail.tsx (Serving header + serving_count
pluralization, no_agents copy, running/queued chips with count
interpolation, Diagnostics header, CLI label, Delete runtime button,
Technical details toggle, last seen interpolation)
- onboarding/steps/step-welcome.tsx (entire WelcomeIllustration mock —
  5 cards × actor names + body copy + 3 mention chips + 2 timestamps;
zh translation reads naturally instead of leaving the demo English)
- settings/components/labs-tab.tsx (`Co-authored-by: ...` git trailer
wrapped in {} so linter sees a JS string, not JSX text — magic
identifier git relies on, must not translate)
- settings/components/members-tab.tsx (✓ glyph wrapped in {})
- modals/feedback.tsx (⌘↵ shortcut wrapped in {})

ServingAgentsCard now reads availability/workload labels from
`agents` namespace (cross-namespace useT) so the bundle-truth pattern
holds: presenceConfig keeps colours only, label text comes from the
shared bundle.

Verified: typecheck + 277/277 tests + lint (only the pre-existing
react-hooks rule-of-hooks errors remain, which task #6 addresses).

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* fix(agents): rules-of-hooks + translate 4 model/runtime pickers

Three pre-existing react-hooks/rules-of-hooks violations + one missing
useMemo dep cleared, then the four pickers wired through useT.

Hook order fixes:
- concurrency-picker: useEffect now runs before the !canEdit early
return. Stale-draft reset still works the same way.
- runtime-picker: useMemo for the filtered list moved above the
  !canEdit branch.
- model-dropdown: `models = data?.models ?? []` was minting a fresh
array each render and tripping the deps lint of the downstream
useMemo. Wrap in useMemo so the reference is stable.

Translation coverage:
- concurrency-picker: tooltip ("Concurrency · N max..."), range
  helper text, Save button.
- runtime-picker: trigger label fallback ("No runtime"), tooltip
text composed from {{name}} + status, Mine/All filter buttons,
empty-list copy, "owned by {{name}}" + status fragments in row
  tooltip, Cloud badge, online/offline aria.
- model-picker: trigger label, tooltip, "Managed by runtime"
fallback, search placeholder, "Discovering models…", default
badge, "No models available", "Use \"X\"" custom-id flow, Clear
  button + its title.
- model-dropdown: every label string including the "Select a runtime
first" / "Default (provider)" / "Runtime offline — enter manually"
trigger fallbacks, the supported=false explanation block, discovery
  failed badge, all popover items.

ESLint allow-list extended to 4 picker files. Verified: typecheck +
277/277 tests + lint (0 errors, only pre-existing react-hooks warnings
in unrelated files).

* feat(i18n): translate runtimes list + connect dialog + CLI updater

Three deep runtime surfaces wired through useT, with the agents
namespace doing double duty for shared availability/workload labels.

runtime-columns:
- 7 column headers via t-augmented createRuntimeColumns({ t }).
- HealthCell now reads from useHealthLabel() (already translation-aware)
instead of the EN-only healthLabel() helper.
- WorkloadCell sources the label from $.workload[enum] (cross-namespace
to agents) — colour stays via workloadConfig.
- CostCell delta "flat" copy + CLI cell "Desktop" badge + update-
  available aria/tooltip + RowMenu's full delete dialog (title /
  description with {{name}} interpolation / cancel / confirm /
deleting state) plus its admin-permission hint.

connect-remote-dialog:
- Three steps fully translated: instructions (header + 4 numbered
steps + security warning + troubleshooting list with mono code
snippets escaped as JS strings), waiting (loader + hint), success
  (CTA pair).
- Mono CLI commands wrapped in {} so linter sees JS strings — those
are literal commands that must stay untranslated for the user to
  paste into a terminal.

update-section:
- statusConfig collapsed to icon+colour only; labels move to
  $.update.status[enum] for proper translation per-state.
- "CLI Version:" / "Latest" / "available" / "Update" / "Retry"
copy + the "Managed by Desktop" tooltip and disabled hint.

Layout helpers tagged: runtime-list passes `t` through to the column
factory the same way agent-columns does.

ESLint allow-list extended with the 4 wired files. Verified:
typecheck + 277/277 tests + 0 i18n lint errors. usage-section.tsx
(KPI cards / WhenChart / TopUsageBreakdown / receipt table) is the
remaining runtimes surface — chart-heavy and benefits from a focused
pass next.

* feat(i18n): translate 5 agent detail tabs + skill-add dialog

The 5 tabs that fill the agent detail right pane plus the shared
skill picker dialog. Agents bundle gains a `tab_body` block with
sub-namespaces per tab + a `common` slot for save/add/unsaved.

Tab coverage:
- instructions-tab: intro paragraph, multi-line example placeholder
(full 18-line zh translation), Save / Unsaved.
- env-tab: read-only intro / empty state, editable intro with two
inline `<code>` env-var examples kept English (mono terminal
payloads), KEY / value placeholders, Show/Hide value aria, Add /
Remove aria, all 3 toasts (duplicate keys / saved / save failed).
- custom-args-tab: intro about whitespace splitting, launch-mode
prefix line + `<your args>` placeholder, --flag value placeholder,
  Add, Remove aria, both toasts.
- skills-tab: intro, Add skill button, import-hint callout, empty
  state title + hint + add-CTA, remove-failed toast.
- activity-tab: 3 section titles (Now / Last 30 days / Recent work),
active-task pluralization, performance subtitle, all 3 empty
  states, runs/success%/avg-duration/failed pluralization with
interpolation, source labels (Issue / Chat / Autopilot / Untracked),
source fallbacks (Quick create / Creating issue / Chat session /
Autopilot run), issue-short fallback, "Triggered by" tooltip
  header, open-issue / transcript / cancel-task tooltips and ARIAs,
cancelling state, started/dispatched/queued time prefixes, show
  more.
- skill-add-dialog: dialog title + description, empty list copy,
  Cancel button, add-failed toast.

skills-tab.test.tsx wrapped in <I18nProvider> with the EN bundle so
its `Local runtime skills are always available` assertion still
matches the resolved translation instead of the raw key path.

ESLint allow-list extended with the 6 wired files. Verified:
typecheck + 277/277 tests + 0 i18n lint errors. Only the per-test
mock for skills-tab needed wrapping; the other 4 tabs ship without
test files of their own and inherit the I18nProvider chain via
agent-overview-pane / agent-detail-page test renders (when those
exist later).

* feat(i18n): translate onboarding step-questionnaire + option-card

The user-profile step (3 questions) is the first deferred onboarding
deep step now wired through useT.

step-questionnaire:
- Eyebrow + headline + answered-progress counter with {{count}}
  interpolation
- All 3 questions and their option labels (team size / role / use case)
- All 3 "Other" placeholders for free-text fallback
- Right-rail "Why three questions" / "What you get" panel: 2 eyebrow
  rows, 2 unlock-item title+body pairs, learn-more link
- Back / Continue buttons via shared `common` block

option-card: shared "Other" radio label and aria.

Test wrapped in <I18nProvider>. EN value of `other_label` kept as
"Other" so the existing /^other$/i regex in step-questionnaire.test
keeps matching after the rendering pipeline switched from a hardcoded
literal to a bundle lookup.

ESLint allow-list extended with these 2 files. The remaining 4 deep
steps (workspace / runtime-connect / platform-fork / agent), the
2 ancillary surfaces (cli-install-instructions / starter-content-
prompt), and the 3 side panels (runtime-aside-panel / cloud-waitlist-
expand / compact-runtime-row) will be surfaced + swept by the global
ESLint switch (next commit).

Verified: typecheck + 277/277 tests + 0 i18n lint errors.

* feat(i18n): flip ESLint to glob + drain remaining hardcoded EN

ESLint i18next/no-literal-string now applies to **/*.tsx by default
instead of an explicit allow-list. Files that genuinely still need
hardcoded EN are listed in STILL_HARDCODED — concrete, finite, and
the goal is to drain that list to zero.

Tail strings translated in this commit (surfaced by the global flip):

- common/task-transcript/agent-transcript-dialog.tsx — full dialog:
status badge (Running / Completed / Failed), sr-only DialogTitle,
Filter dropdown trigger + Clear filters, Copy all / Copy filtered /
Copied, tool-calls + events metadata chips with pluralization,
  events-filtered "{{shown}} of {{total}}" interpolation, "Waiting
for events..." live state, "No execution data recorded." past
state. New `transcript` block in agents namespace.
- runtimes/components/charts/activity-heatmap.tsx — Less / More
legend labels around the contribution-style heat squares.
- search/search-trigger.tsx — sidebar Search... button label.
⌘ glyph wrapped in {} to satisfy the linter (mono shortcut symbol,
  not translatable).

Holdouts (STILL_HARDCODED, ~14 files): the deep onboarding steps
(workspace / runtime-connect / platform-fork / agent / first-issue /
cli-install-instructions, plus 4 ancillary panels), the runtimes
usage-section + KPI cards, and 5 minor agent visual primitives
(sparkline / agent-presence-indicator / agent-profile-card /
visibility-badge / char-counter). Each one gets a dedicated future
pass; the global rule prevents new hardcoded strings from landing
elsewhere.

Verified: typecheck + 277/277 tests + 0 i18n lint errors.

* feat(i18n): drain agent visual primitives + onboarding small components

8 files removed from STILL_HARDCODED:

agents/components/:
- char-counter — over-limit text with {{count}} interpolation
- visibility-badge — uses new agents.visibility.{private,workspace}.
{label, tooltip} block; drops VISIBILITY_LABEL/TOOLTIP imports from
core in favour of bundle-driven copy
- agent-presence-indicator — availability + workload labels via
  $.availability[enum] / $.workload[enum] (cross-namespace),
  queue-badge "+N queued" with pluralization
- agent-profile-card — Agent unavailable / Detail link / Owner /
Skills / Runtime / Unknown runtime / Archived chip / availability
  line via cross-namespace lookup

agents.json: new presence + visibility + profile_card + char_counter
blocks.

onboarding/components/:
- compact-runtime-row — online/offline aria via agents.availability
- runtime-aside-panel — full content (What's a runtime / Good to
know / Swap anytime / Add more later / docs link)
- starter-content-prompt — full dialog (title / description with
inline emphasis / both buttons / 3 toasts)
- cloud-waitlist-expand — intro paragraph + warning span / email
  + reason labels + placeholders + Optional badge / Join + on-list
  states / both toasts

onboarding/steps/:
- cli-install-instructions — copy aria + intro + 2 step labels

onboarding.json: new runtime_aside / cli_install / starter_content /
cloud_waitlist blocks.

Tests for step-platform-fork + step-runtime-connect wrapped in
<I18nProvider> with EN bundle so /you're on the list/i etc. still
matches the resolved translations.

Verified: typecheck + 277/277 tests + 0 i18n lint errors.

* feat(i18n): translate onboarding deep steps

The 5 large onboarding steps that were deferred from earlier passes,
plus their support helpers, all wired through useT.

step-first-issue (final beat — flips onboarded_at):
- error_title / Retry / retry_failed toast / finishing / opening
  states.

step-agent (creates the user's first agent):
- Templates moved from a module-level const to a useT-driven
useAgentTemplates() hook. Names + emoji stay constant (visual
identity), labels + blurbs + instructions resolve from the
bundle. coding / planning / writing / assistant — all four
templates ship a full zh translation that reads naturally.
- Recommended badge, eyebrow + headline + lede, footer hint,
  Create {{name}} CTA, create_failed toast.
- Right-rail "About agents" panel (4 way-items + headline +
  add-more hint + docs link).

step-workspace (create or pick existing):
- 5 footer states (open / creating / creating-pending / name-first
/ pick), all hint + CTA strings via interpolation.
- Name + URL + slug placeholders, issue-prefix preview spans,
  Create-new card title + subtitle.
- 8-row WorkspacePreviewCard sidebar (Inbox / Issues / Agents /
  Projects / Autopilot / Runtimes / Skills / And more) — every
label + meta strapped to bundle keys.
- 4 perks (assign / chat / invite / switch) + 3 next-steps
  (runtime / agent / starter), 2 toasts (slug-conflict / failed).
- `multica.ai/${slug}` mono URL escaped via template-literal
expression so the linter sees a JS string.

step-runtime-connect (desktop scan flow):
- 3 phase headlines + ledes (scanning / found / empty), trust-strip
status (all online / N online / none online) with pluralization,
online/offline labels, Skip / Continue / Selected hint.
- Empty-view 2 cards (skip + waitlist) and the cloud waitlist
  dialog wrapper.

step-platform-fork (web fan-out):
- Eyebrow + headline + lede, footer hint with 3 phase variants.
- Primary download card (before/after click) + 2 alt cards (CLI /
  cloud) + CLI dialog with 4 elapsed-time stages (normal / midway /
  slow / stalled), live-listening header, runtime-connected
  pluralization, cloud waitlist dialog.

ESLint: STILL_HARDCODED list shrunk from 14 entries to 1 — only
runtimes/components/usage-section.tsx (chart-heavy KPI panel)
remains.

Verified: typecheck + 277/277 tests + 0 i18n lint errors.

* feat(i18n): translate runtimes usage panel + drop STILL_HARDCODED

Final i18n holdout: the runtimes usage panel (KPI hero, WHEN chart
tabs, cost-by breakdowns, daily breakdown table) is wired through
useT("runtimes"). With this drained, the eslint scaffolding for
explicit holdouts is removed — every JSX text node in @multica/views
now flows through i18n.

* fix(i18n): drain rollout gaps + add cross-device sync

Lands the post-review punch list for the i18n rollout: closes correctness
gaps that would have shipped silently, and adds the missing cross-device
locale sync the rollout's docs already promised.

Coverage:
- Register issues + agents namespaces in RESOURCES (90 useT call sites
  were rendering keys-as-text in production)
- Harden parity test to compare RESOURCES keys against on-disk JSON
files, so a future missing namespace registration fails loudly
- Server-side language whitelist in UpdateMe + reject-unsupported test
- Safe SupportedLocale resolution in appearance-tab (no more `as` cast
  on a region-tagged BCP-47 string)
- HTML lang attribute uses zh-CN (not zh-Hans) for screen reader / CJK
  font-stack compatibility
- Cookie Secure flag on https
- Pulled createBrowserCookieLocaleAdapter out of the server-safe entry
  into a new @multica/core/i18n/browser subpath; document.cookie access
can no longer leak into Edge middleware imports

Cross-device sync:
- New UserLocaleSync component mounted in CoreProvider; on login, if
user.language differs from the active i18n.language, persist via the
adapter and reload. Both apps benefit
- Desktop main process tracks system locale and emits IPC on focus when
it changes; renderer reloads only when the user has no explicit
Settings choice (their preference still wins)

Tests:
- pickLocale / matchLocale (11 cases incl. region-tagged BCP-47, malformed
  tags, zh-Hant collapse-to-zh-Hans semantics)
- browser-cookie-adapter (6 cases under jsdom)
- Shared renderWithI18n helper at packages/views/test/i18n.tsx that wraps
the real RESOURCES map; future tests opt in instead of inlining a
per-file TEST_RESOURCES slice that goes stale silently

* docs(conventions): consolidate naming + i18n glossary into docs site

Single source of truth for code naming, i18n translation glossary, and
Chinese voice rules. Previously split between packages/views/locales/glossary.md
and scattered comments — now lives at apps/docs/content/docs/developers/conventions.{mdx,zh.mdx}
with both English and Chinese versions kept in sync.

Three sections per page:
1. Code naming — routes, packages, files, DB, Go, TS, commits
2. i18n translation glossary — entity vs concept rule, what to translate,
word combination, plurals, interpolation, key naming
3. Chinese voice + style — punctuation, principles, where to look in doubt

Side effects:
- packages/views/locales/glossary.md collapses to a stub redirecting to
the docs page; do not edit it
- CLAUDE.md gets a new top-level "Conventions reference" section so any
Claude session sees the pointer before any other rule
- apps/docs/content/docs/developers/ gets a stub English meta.json so the
conventions page is reachable on the EN side (contributing.zh.mdx /
  architecture.zh.mdx remain ZH-only — separate work)
- Both root sidebars get a new "Developers" group

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* fix(i18n): apply zh voice rules + translate project/autopilot

Two-part cleanup driven by the conventions doc landed last commit:

Voice violations (mechanical sweep across 10 zh-Hans namespaces):
- 「」 (Japanese-style brackets) → \" to match the EN source's straight
  double quotes (~13 sites)
- … (single-char ellipsis) → ... three dots (~43 sites)
- Drop translation-ese pronoun "我们" where it's a pure narrator
("我们已发送" → "已发送", "我们替你托管" → "由 Multica 托管"); keep
"告诉我们" where "we" is the legitimate brand recipient
- "作为父级 / 作为子级" → "设为父级 / 设为子级"
- "任务" mistranslated as the task entity → `task` (lowercase EN entity)
- Dialog title "Autopilot" → "autopilot"

Translate project / autopilot per industry consensus:
- `project` → 「项目」 (~42 value sites). Feishu / Tower / Teambition /
PingCode / GitHub Projects all translate; no Chinese product keeps
  `project`.
- `autopilot` → 「自动化」 (~34 value sites). Avoids the Tesla-style
「自动驾驶」 association; matches Notion / Feishu's industry term.
- Issue / skill / task remain lowercase EN per dev-team familiarity.
- Sidebar nav-label entities get Title Case ("Issue" / "Skill" / "我的
Issue") so the entry-point label reads as a proper UI signal; body
  prose stays lowercase.

Conventions doc (EN + ZH) reflects the decision and adds a "why these
translate but issue/skill/task don't" rationale block.

Verification: parity test 45/45, full monorepo typecheck green.

* feat(i18n): translate chat session delete + project resources section

Two features main shipped while this branch was idle never went through
the i18n pass:

- Chat session delete confirmation dialog (#2115) and history toggle
  tooltip (#2117): adds session_history.delete_dialog.* and
  session_history.row_delete_*, plus window.history_show_tooltip /
  history_back_tooltip.
- Project resources sidebar (#1926/#2080/#2111): entire component
including toasts, popover form, attach/remove tooltips. New
  projects.resources subtree.

2a59236575 refactor(create-issue): unify agent/manual modes under one Dialog shell (#1826)
Recasts Quick/Advanced as Agent/Manual and lets users flip between modes
in-place from a footer switch button instead of a separate Advanced
shortcut. The two old modal types now route through one CreateIssueDialog
shell that owns the single <Dialog> and <DialogContent> — only the inner
panel body swaps on mode change, so the Portal/Backdrop/Popup stay
mounted and the switch is instant (no close→open animation flash).

Mode preference is persisted globally in localStorage via a small
useCreateModeStore, so the `c` shortcut always opens whichever mode the
user last used (or switched to). Carry payload (description / agent /
prompt) hands off through the shell's local state plus the existing
issue-draft store, so nothing the user typed is lost across switches.

Also drops the Shift+C → manual branch — `c` is now mode-agnostic and
the in-modal switch covers the same intent without users having to
remember a second shortcut.

Visible labels: "Quick create" → "Create with agent",
"New issue" → "Create manually".

b8f661e006 feat(create-issue): default assignee to last-selected value (#1774)

d54daa62c5 feat(issues): right-click context menu + unified issue actions (#1594)
* feat(issues): add right-click context menu on list rows and board cards

Extract the detail page's ⋯ dropdown (~180 lines of inline JSX) into a
shared `useIssueActions` hook plus two thin wrappers so the same action
set (status / priority / assignee / due date / sub-issue ops / pin / copy
link / delete) can be mounted as both a DropdownMenu and a Base UI
ContextMenu. Right-click on any list row or board card now opens the
full action menu without entering the detail page.

Shell-level modals replace the detail-page-local state for set-parent /
add-child / delete-confirm / backlog-agent-hint, so any trigger (detail
page, list, board) can open them through `useModalStore`. Detail page
detects its own deletion via a query-transition effect, avoiding the
need to smuggle callbacks through the store.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* feat(issues): hover and active styling on list rows and board cards

Mirror the sidebar's same-color/different-intensity pattern for the new
right-click context menu states. Base UI adds `data-popup-open` to the
ContextMenuTrigger when the menu is open; `hover:not-data-[popup-open]`
suppresses hover feedback on the already-active item.

List rows apply the pattern directly to background color (`accent/60`
hover, `accent` active). Board cards additionally modulate the card's
border and a lighter background tint (`accent/20` hover, `accent/40`
active) so the card's own bg/border/shadow identity stays intact.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* feat(modals): show target issue banner in SetParent/AddChild pickers

When triggered from an issue's action menu, the IssuePickerModal now
displays a banner at the top showing "Setting parent of" / "Adding
sub-issue to" followed by the originating issue's status, identifier,
and title. Previously the operation target was only implied by the
modal's sr-only title.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* feat(modals): create-issue gains ⋯ overflow menu with parent issue linkage

Add a dropdown-menu with "Set parent issue..." / "Remove parent" at the
end of the property pill row. The ⋯ button is always the last DOM child
of the row so it stays at the tail even when the row wraps to multiple
lines. Menu state reflects current selection — unset shows a single
"Set parent…" entry, set shows the current identifier plus a separate
Remove option.

When a parent is set (either via the new menu or via `data.parent_issue_id`
from a "Create sub-issue" trigger), a chip appears in the pill row
showing "Sub-issue of {identifier}" with the same click-to-change /
click-×-to-clear semantics. This replaces the old header breadcrumb
disclosure that was neither editable nor visible in the form.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* refactor(issues): group relationship actions under "More" submenu

Nest Create sub-issue / Set parent issue / Add sub-issue inside a
`More >` submenu in the issue actions menu (both Dropdown and
Context variants). Top-level keeps Status/Priority/Assignee/Due date
category submenus plus Pin and Copy link; the relationship ops are
lower-frequency and will grow with future relation types (blocks,
duplicates, related) that fit the same category.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* feat(modals): create-issue adds Add sub-issue with deferred linking

The create modal's ⋯ menu gains an "Add sub-issue..." entry that queues
existing issues as children of the new one. Picked issues appear as
chips in the pill row (downward arrow, distinct from the upward parent
chip), each individually removable.

Linking is deferred because the new issue's ID doesn't exist at pick
time. Once createIssueMutation resolves, we run updateIssueMutation
for every queued child in parallel and surface any partial failures
via toast — the new issue itself is already committed and never rolls
back. Parent and child pickers exclude each other so a single issue
can't occupy both relations simultaneously.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* polish(issues): add MoreHorizontal icon to "More" submenu trigger

The "More" label was visually misaligned because every other top-level
entry has a leading icon. Use MoreHorizontal (same icon as the outer ⋯
trigger — semantically "more options, nested") and drop the `inset`
padding hack.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* revert(modals): drop target-issue banner from IssuePickerModal

The banner sat directly above the search input and rendered the target
issue with bolder styling than the "Setting parent of" / "Adding sub-issue
to" caption, which made it read like a pre-selected search result rather
than a context label. Users opening the modal from a menu item already
carry the context, so the extra chrome was redundant.

Remove the contextIssue / contextLabel API from IssuePickerModal and
drop the now-unused issueDetailOptions query in SetParentIssueModal.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* polish(modals): exclude current parent from create-issue parent picker

Re-opening the parent picker to change the already-set parent used to
show that parent in the results — picking it was a silent no-op. Mirror
the child picker's exclude-list construction so the current parent is
always filtered out.

cd6bb48283 feat(autopilots): unified create/edit dialog with issue-modal layout (#1501)
Replace separate CreateAutopilotDialog / EditAutopilotDialog with a single
shared <AutopilotDialog mode="create"|"edit"> that mirrors the issue create
modal — dynamic sizing, expand/collapse, richtext Prompt, pill toolbar.

- Tiptap ContentEditor replaces plain textarea for Prompt; detail page
renders description via ReadonlyContent for visual parity.
- Pills: Agent, Priority, Execution Mode, Schedule (Popover hosting
TriggerConfigSection). 0/1/N trigger strategy: add on 0, edit inline on
1, disabled with tooltip on 2+ (power users edit in detail page).
- Exposes priority + execution_mode at creation time (backend always
supported them; old UI only offered them in Edit).
- parseCronExpression reverse-parses stored cron back to TriggerConfig for
  Edit-time prefill (with round-trip tests).
- PillButton extracted to packages/views/common for reuse across modals.
- DialogContent uses showCloseButton={false} so the shared header renders
the Maximize + Close buttons next to the Rocket-prefixed breadcrumb.
- Conditional mount at call sites (`{open && <AutopilotDialog/>}`) keeps
  state fresh on each open.
- Schedule dirty detection compares cron+timezone payloads vs mount
snapshot, and edit-mode submits against a snapshotted trigger id so
concurrent WS refetches can't mis-target the update.

75d12c26c5 feat: workspace URL refactor v2 + rollback-safe compat layer (#1138)
* Reapply "feat: workspace URL refactor + slug-first API identity (#1131)" (#1137)

This reverts commit 9b94914bc8.

* compat: legacy URL redirect + localStorage double-write for safe rollback

The first attempt at this refactor (#1131) was reverted because existing
users on old URLs (/issues, /projects, etc.) hit 404 immediately after
deploy, and rolling back left them with empty dashboards — the legacy
code reads localStorage["multica_workspace_id"] to attach a workspace
to API requests, but the new code had stopped writing that key.

Two compat layers added on top of the restored refactor:

1. proxy.ts now intercepts legacy route prefixes (/issues/*, /projects/*,
   /agents/*, /inbox/*, /my-issues/*, /autopilots/*, /runtimes/*,
   /skills/*, /settings/*). Logged-in users with a last_workspace_slug
cookie are 302'd to /{slug}/{rest}, preserving their deep link. Users
without the cookie bounce through / where the landing page picks a
workspace client-side. Unauthenticated users go to /login.

2. Both layouts now double-write the workspace id to the legacy
localStorage key on every workspace entry. New code ignores this key
   — it exists solely so that if this PR ever gets reverted again, the
legacy build reading the key would still find the correct workspace
and avoid the empty-dashboard symptom users saw during the rollback.

Net effect: any direction of deploy ↔ rollback is now cache-compatible,
and any direction of old bookmark → new route resolves without 404.

* fix(platform): defer rehydrateAllWorkspaceStores to a microtask

Same React 19 render-phase restriction that forced setCurrentWorkspace
to defer its subscriber notifications. rehydrateAllWorkspaceStores
synchronously calls each persist store's rehydrate, which setState()s
the store, which schedules updates on any subscribed component. When
the workspace layout's render-phase ref guard invoked this, React
complained that SearchCommand (a store subscriber) couldn't be
re-rendered while WorkspaceLayout was still rendering.

Fix: queueMicrotask the rehydrate loop and add a pending-flag guard so
rapid workspace switches coalesce into one rehydrate on the final slug.
Persist stores tolerate one microtask of staleness — they hold UI
preferences, not correctness-critical state.

59ace95a1e feat: workspace URL refactor + slug-first API identity (#1131)
* feat: workspace URL refactor + slug-first API identity

Make the URL the single source of truth for workspace identity.
All workspace-scoped URLs now carry the workspace slug as the first
path segment (/{slug}/issues, /{slug}/projects, etc.), matching the
industry standard (Linear, Notion, Vercel, GitHub).

## Key architectural changes

**URL-driven workspace identity:**
- Web routes moved under app/[workspaceSlug]/(dashboard)/
- Desktop routes nested under /:workspaceSlug
- paths.ts builder centralises all URL construction
- reserved-slugs validation (backend + frontend + DB migration audit)

**Slug-first API contract:**
- Frontend sends X-Workspace-Slug header (from URL) instead of X-Workspace-ID (UUID)
- Backend middleware resolves slug → UUID via GetWorkspaceBySlug, falls back to
  X-Workspace-ID for CLI/daemon backwards compatibility
- WebSocket auth accepts ?workspace_slug query param with SlugResolver callback

**State cleanup:**
- Deleted: useWorkspaceStore (Zustand mirror), switchWorkspace/hydrateWorkspace/
  clearWorkspace, localStorage["multica_workspace_id"], api._workspaceId
- useCurrentWorkspace() derives from URL slug + React Query workspace list
- useWorkspaceId() is now a bridge hook (no Context, derives from useCurrentWorkspace)
- WorkspaceIdProvider removed from DashboardGuard
- Paired module vars (slug + UUID) in workspace-storage.ts for non-React consumers

**Layout simplified:**
- Render-phase ref guard sets workspace context synchronously (no async gate)
- DashboardGuard handles auth redirect, loading state, and workspace resolution
- Subscriber notifications deferred via queueMicrotask (React 19 compat)
- persist namespace uses slug (immutable) instead of UUID

## Issues resolved

MUL-43 (share links), MUL-509 (mobile workspace switch), MUL-723 (workspace in URL),
MUL-727 (create workspace flash), MUL-728 (delete workspace no-navigate),
MUL-820 (sidebar Join not switching)

* fix: resolve code review C3/C4/C5/C6 — desktop deadlock + hardcoded paths

C3: Desktop OnboardingGate was calling useCurrentWorkspace() outside
WorkspaceSlugProvider → always null → permanent onboarding deadlock.
Rewrite to use useQuery(workspaceListOptions()) which reads React Query
cache directly without slug context. Remove DashboardGuard from
DesktopShell (auth gating handled by AppContent, workspace routing by
WorkspaceRouteLayout per-tab).

C4: Landing page "Dashboard" links hardcoded /issues (no longer valid).
Changed to / — proxy handles redirect to /{lastSlug}/issues.

C5: autopilots-page.tsx had one hardcoded /autopilots/${id} link.
Changed to wsPaths.autopilotDetail(id).

C6: inbox-page.tsx hardcoded /inbox paths. Changed to wsPaths.inbox().

* fix(desktop): wrap shell in WorkspaceSlugProvider from module var

AppSidebar calls useWorkspacePaths() → useRequiredWorkspaceSlug() which
throws outside WorkspaceSlugProvider. In the desktop shell, the sidebar
renders at the shell level (outside any tab's WorkspaceRouteLayout).

Fix: DesktopShell reads the current slug via useSyncExternalStore on
the workspace-storage singleton. When slug is available, wraps the
entire shell in WorkspaceSlugProvider. When null (first mount before
any tab's WorkspaceRouteLayout sets it), shows a loading spinner.

* fix(desktop): migrate old tab paths + fix shell slug deadlock

Tab store rehydration: old-format paths like "/issues/abc" (missing
workspace slug prefix) are reset to "/" so IndexRedirect picks the
correct workspace. Detection: if the first segment is a known route
name (issues, projects, etc.) rather than a workspace slug, it's an
old-format path.

Desktop shell: TabContent must always render (not gated behind slug
check) so WorkspaceRouteLayout can mount and call setCurrentWorkspace.
Only sidebar and shell-level UI (chat, modals, search) gate on slug
being present.

d930bcaa18 feat(server): trigger agent when issue moves out of backlog (#1006)
* feat(server): trigger agent when issue moves out of backlog

When a member moves an agent-assigned issue from "backlog" to an active
status (e.g. "todo", "in_progress"), enqueue an agent task so the agent
starts working. This lets backlog act as a parking lot where issues can
be assigned to agents without immediately triggering execution.

Applies to both single and batch issue updates.

* fix(server): treat backlog as parking lot — no trigger on create/assign

Address review feedback: creating or assigning an agent to a backlog
issue no longer triggers immediate execution. Only moving out of backlog
to an active status triggers the agent, producing exactly one task.

- shouldEnqueueAgentTask now gates on backlog status
- backlog→active trigger uses isAgentAssigneeReady directly
- Added TestBacklogNoTriggerOnCreate test
- Updated TestBacklogToTodoTriggersAgent to assert exactly 1 task
across the full create→move path (no manual cleanup)

* feat(ui): show toast hint when assigning agent to backlog issue

Users may not know that backlog issues won't trigger agent execution
until moved to an active status. Show an actionable toast with a
"Move to Todo" button when:

- Assigning an agent to a backlog issue in the detail page
- Creating a backlog issue with an agent assignee

* feat(ui): add "Don't show again" option to backlog agent toast

Users who understand the backlog parking lot behavior can dismiss the
hint permanently. Uses localStorage to persist the preference.

* feat(ui): replace backlog agent toast with AlertDialog

Use a modal dialog instead of a toast notification so users must
explicitly acknowledge the hint. The dialog offers three options:
- "Move to Todo" — changes status and triggers the agent
- "Keep in Backlog" — dismisses without action
- "Don't show again" — persists dismissal in localStorage

* fix(ui): improve backlog agent dialog

* fix(ui): close create dialog behind hint, use checkbox for don't-show-again

1. Create Issue dialog now closes when the backlog agent hint appears,
so only the hint dialog is visible (not stacked behind).
2. "Don't show again" is now a checkbox instead of a separate button.
When checked, clicking either "Keep in Backlog" or "Move to Todo"
   persists the preference.

* fix(ui): smooth backlog agent hint dialog

* fix(test): add useUpdateIssue mock to create-issue test

The test mock for @multica/core/issues/mutations was missing the
useUpdateIssue export that create-issue.tsx now imports, causing
CI failure.

e568896357 fix(views): prevent focus jumping to random button when closing store-opened modals
Add finalFocus={false} to DialogContent in create-issue and create-workspace
modals so Base UI does not attempt focus restoration on close. These modals
are always opened programmatically via useModalStore (no trigger element),
so there is no meaningful element to return focus to.

ee46fd6064 fix(editor): address review — complete migration, fix imports, clean dead code
- Add showDropOverlay={false} to projects/ ContentEditors (no upload support)
- Use barrel exports from ../../editor instead of direct file imports
- Remove ring-brand/30 from CommentInput for visual consistency
- Remove dead internal overlay code from ContentEditor (dragOver state,
drag handlers, overlay JSX, document listeners, showDropOverlay prop)
- Remove unused .editor-drop-overlay CSS
- Update issue-detail test mock with useFileDropZone/FileDropOverlay

66cb5d924a fix(editor): lift drag-drop overlay to outer container for better UX
When editors are empty, the internal drop overlay was too small to be
useful. Move the overlay to the parent container with a lighter style
so the drop target covers the full input area regardless of content.

89fd2ce96e refactor(views): reuse AssigneePicker in CreateIssueModal (#599)
* refactor(views): reuse AssigneePicker in CreateIssueModal

Replace the hand-rolled inline assignee Popover in CreateIssueModal with
the shared AssigneePicker component. This fixes missing features (private
agent permission checks, lock icon, disabled state, selection checkmark)
and ensures consistent behavior across all assignee dropdowns.

* refactor(views): consolidate all picker components across the codebase

Enhance shared pickers (StatusPicker, PriorityPicker, DueDatePicker,
ProjectPicker) with triggerRender, controlled open/onOpenChange, and
align props — matching the AssigneePicker API.

Replace inline implementations in:
- create-issue.tsx: Status, Priority, DueDate, Project (4 pickers)
- issue-detail.tsx sidebar: Status, Priority (2 pickers)
- batch-action-toolbar.tsx: Status, Priority (2 pickers)

StatusPicker now has its first consumer (was defined but unused).
Removes ~200 lines of duplicated picker code.

8cf27af3b2 feat(issues): add project picker to create issue modal + fix IssuesHeader view store
- Add a Project pill to the create issue modal property toolbar,
allowing users to assign a project at creation time. Uses the
existing projectListOptions query and passes project_id in the
create request. Supports selecting, changing, and clearing project.
- Fix IssuesHeader to use context-based useViewStore instead of the
global useIssueViewStore singleton, so filters/sort/view toggle
work correctly when mounted inside a project-scoped ViewStoreProvider.

f41a0cf423 feat(views): extract packages/views — shared business UI + navigation adapter
- Create NavigationAdapter interface (push, replace, back, pathname, searchParams)
- Create AppLink component replacing next/link in 4 files
- Replace useRouter → useNavigation in 3 files (issue-detail, create-issue, create-workspace)
- Create WebNavigationProvider wrapping Next.js useRouter/usePathname/useSearchParams
- Move ~85 feature UI files (issues, editor, modals, my-issues, skills, runtimes) to packages/views/
- Add store singleton registration pattern (registerAuthStore, registerWorkspaceStore)
- Create data-aware wrappers in packages/views/common/ (ActorAvatar, Markdown)
- Update all app-layer imports to @multica/views/*
- Add @source directive for Tailwind to scan views package
- packages/views/ has zero next/* imports
