* fix(comment): restore autopilot @mention delegation authority (MUL-4857) A schedule/webhook autopilot run is unattributed by design (no top-of-chain human originator, MUL-4302). Since MUL-3963 the A2A invoke gate (canInvokeAgent) keys on that originator, so a mid-run @agent/@squad delegation on an autopilot-created issue fails closed for the DEFAULT private agent (and member-scoped public_to agents): the mention renders but no run is enqueued. The SAME autopilot's first dispatch is admitted via the autopilot creator (autopilotAdmitInvoke -> canCreatorInvokeAgent), so first-dispatch and mid-run delegation disagreed. Align them: when an unattributed agent/system-authored comment on an autopilot-origin issue reaches computeCommentAgentTriggers with no originator, fall back to the autopilot creator as the effective invoking user for the gate. The gate still runs (no unrestricted agent-to-agent bypass); it is authorization only -- the enqueued task's originator/attribution stays unattributed. Scoped to autopilot-origin issues so other unattributed chains stay fail-closed. Adds a DB-backed regression test covering: creator-owns-target admits, a non-autopilot unattributed run stays denied, and a creator without invoke rights stays denied. Rework it so the autopilot-creator authority is granted ONLY when the SPEAKING task's lineage is verified against this issue: - resolve the authority separately (new AutopilotDelegationAuthorityUserID on commentTriggerComputeOptions), never by overwriting OriginatorUserID; the gate reads it through opts.effectiveInvoker() only when no human originator resolved, so attribution stays untouched; - resolve from a server-trusted speaking task — X-Task-ID on create/preview, comment.source_task_id on edit/reconcile — via autopilotDelegationAuthority, which admits only when author == task agent AND task.issue_id == this issue AND the issue is autopilot-origin, then keys on the member autopilot creator; - do NOT key on autopilot_run_id: in create_issue mode (the reported case) the leader task is enqueued through the ordinary issue-assignment path and has no autopilot_run_id — the task.issue_id == issue binding is what proves the run is part of this autopilot's work while rejecting foreign-issue runs. Tests: replace the provenance-only regression with lineage-bound coverage — verified-lineage-admits, creator-without-rights-denied, non-autopilot-denied, missing-source-task-denied, cross-issue-source-task-denied, author!=task-agent- denied — plus an end-to-end CreateComment path asserting the private worker is enqueued and the delegated run stays unattributed. Verified the fallback is load-bearing (positive + e2e fail with it disabled) and the full internal/handler package passes. Skill docs (multica-mentioning) updated to the lineage-bound contract and new helper names. Busy-target completion reconcile lost the authority. A delegation to a target that is already running is deferred to that target's completion reconcile (reconcileCommentsOnCompletion). That path recomputed triggers with only the (empty) originator, so an unattributed autopilot delegation's follow-up was gate-denied again and silently dropped. It now restores the delegation authority from comment.source_task_id, so the follow-up fires once the target frees up — still unattributed. 2. Edit could borrow the old authoring run's authority, and preview != save. The edit preview keyed authority on the current request task while save keyed it on the comment's original source_task_id, so an agent editing its old autopilot comment from a task on an UNRELATED issue would fail-closed in preview but reuse the old autopilot creator's authority on save (cross-issue confused-deputy, and a preview/side-effect divergence). Fix: treat source_task_id as the persisted per-action authority lineage and re-stamp it on edit to the CURRENT editing task, issue-scoped exactly like CreateComment. A cross-issue edit re-stamps it to NULL, so preview, save, AND the deferred reconcile all fail closed identically. UpdateComment query gains a source_task_id param (sqlc regen). Also locks the review-accepted behavior that effectiveInvoker() carries the autopilot-creator authority into the plain assigned-squad-leader wake (a worker's result comment on the autopilot issue can still wake the private leader). Tests: reconcile-restores-authority (owns -> one unattributed follow-up; no rights -> none); edit re-stamp (same-issue keeps authority and triggers; cross-issue clears source_task_id and fails closed); worker-result wakes private squad leader. Verified both fixes are load-bearing (each negative control reproduces the exact regression Elon described), full internal/handler + internal/service packages pass, gofmt/vet clean. Now a content edit re-derives lineage from the edit action: only the agent author editing its own comment re-stamps source_task_id to the current editing task; every other editor (member/admin, or any non-author) clears it, so preview, save, and reconcile all fail closed. * fix(issues): attach labels in the create transaction (MUL-4832) Labels chosen at issue creation were attached in a second, non-atomic round-trip after the issue was already committed (web modal looped attachLabelToIssue per label; the create endpoint took no labels). A partial failure of that follow-up left the issue committed but mis-categorized, surfaced only as a toast. Carry label_ids through the create request instead: the service validates them (workspace + resource_type='issue') and attaches them inside the same transaction as the issue insert, so the issue and its labels commit together or not at all. An unknown or wrong-scope label id now fails the whole create with 400 rather than being silently dropped. Duplicate ids are idempotent (dedupe + ON CONFLICT DO NOTHING). - server: IssueCreateParams.LabelIDs + ErrIssueLabelNotFound; validate and attach in IssueService.Create; handler parses label_ids and maps the error to 400. - web: create-issue modal forwards label_ids and drops the post-create attach loop and its dead toast key. - tests: handler coverage for atomic attach, stale-id 400 (no issue left behind), duplicate-id idempotency, wrong-scope rejection; web test asserts label_ids is forwarded. Scope is deliberately labels-only. The contributor PR #5475 also auto-parsed an acceptance_criteria field from description text; that introduces a new user-facing data contract with no defined edit/display rules and is left out for a separate product decision. An older backend ignores label_ids and returns an issue with no labels field. The create modal now falls back to the legacy per-label attach only when the response omits labels, so labels aren't silently dropped; when labels is present the atomic path already ran and no fallback fires. The backend always returns an explicit labels array (empty when none) as the detection signal. Tests: handler issue:created-carries-labels + response-carries-labels + response-always-includes-labels; web modal no-fallback (new backend) and fallback (old backend); ws-updaters keeps the label snapshot in list cache. Tests: schema.test.ts covers absent / valid / null / wrong-element-shape labels and the empty-issue degrade. A create that returns an unusable body is a failed mutation, not a safe-empty read. Fall back to null and reject: mutateAsync is already inside the create modal's try/catch, so a controlled rejection preserves the draft and shows the failure toast, and onSettled still refreshes the list so a genuinely-created issue can still surface. - CreateIssueResponseSchema tightens id to non-empty; an id-less body routes to the same reject path. - createIssue throws on parse failure (empty-message Error so the modal renders its localized "failed to create" toast; parseWithFallback already logged the schema issues + raw body). - Dropped the EMPTY_ISSUE fallback constant. - Tests: whole-body malformed and empty-id now assert createIssue rejects; only-labels-malformed still returns the real issue with labels undefined. Workspace-level property definitions (issue_property table; 7 types:
text/number/select/multi_select/date/checkbox/url) plus a typed value bag
on each issue (issue.properties JSONB keyed by definition UUID, mirroring
the metadata machinery: single-key atomic writes, 16KB cap, GIN index).
- Definitions: owner/admin only; agent actors rejected (agents propose,
humans confirm). 20 active per workspace, 50 options per select,
reserved built-in names blocked, archive instead of delete.
- Values: any member or agent; per-type validation with self-correcting
error messages that enumerate legal option ids.
- API: /api/properties CRUD + PUT/DELETE /api/issues/{id}/properties/{propertyId};
issue responses always emit the properties bag.
- CLI: multica property list/get/create/update/archive/unarchive and
multica issue property list/set/unset with name→id translation.
- Events: property:created/updated, issue_properties:changed.

props' progressive disclosure — set values render as rows with
type-appropriate editors (select/multi-select pickers, calendar,
yes/no, inline input for text/number/url), unset ones live in the
same '+ Add property' menu behind a separator. Archived definitions
render read-only until cleared.
- Core: property types, zod schemas (lenient type strings for forward
compat), api client methods, React Query hooks with optimistic
single-key value writes, ws-updaters + realtime wiring for
property:created/updated and issue_properties:changed.
- Locales: en/zh-Hans/ja/ko strings; Issue fixtures gain properties: {}.

- mobile: EMPTY_ISSUE_FALLBACK gains the required properties field (mobile
typecheck was the red CI check).
- server: PATCH /api/properties/{id} rejects config updates that remove
select options still referenced by issues (409 with a per-option usage
census via jsonb ?); renames keep ids and pass. Integration test included.
- core: property value mutations are serialized per workspace via mutation
scope, snapshot the bag from detail OR list caches (board surfaces have no
detail cache — the old path overwrote whole bags with one key), roll back
to the snapshot or invalidate on error, and the last settled mutation does
an authoritative detail+catalog invalidate (usage counts reconcile).
- schemas: unknown-shaped property values (future server types) are dropped
per-entry in a preprocess step instead of failing the whole IssueSchema
and blanking lists through parseWithFallback; test updated to lock the
tolerant behavior.
- realtime: reconnect invalidation covers the property catalog; every
issue_properties:changed event also refreshes catalog usage counts.
- ui: number editor accepts decimals (step=any); settings usage count
pluralizes (issue/issues) with CJK-safe plural keys.

* fix(migrations): renumber issue properties to 179 and build the GIN index concurrently
main's migration sequence advanced twice under this PR (167 collision, then
an upstream renumber wave that claimed 178), so issue properties now sits at
179 — verified against main's current tip by the prefix-uniqueness lint.
The properties GIN index moves to its own single-statement migration (180)
using CREATE INDEX CONCURRENTLY — a plain CREATE INDEX on the hot issue
table would block writes for the duration of the build. Mirrors the
119_user_created_at_index pattern; full-chain dry-run on a fresh database
passes through 180.

Brings custom properties to the issue list surfaces on top of the M1
definitions/values core:
- Filter: per-definition sections in the Filter dropdown (select /
multi_select options with color dots and counts; checkbox as Yes/No
pseudo-options). OR within a definition, AND across definitions;
client-side in applyIssueFilters, mirrored into filterAssigneeGroups
for the assignee-grouped board. Included in active-filter count and
Clear all.
- Cards: per-property Display toggles (cardPropertyIds) render value
chips on board cards and list rows via CustomPropertyValueDisplay.
- Sort: SortField gains property:<id> for number/date definitions.
Server keeps position order (fixed sort enum); the surface controller
re-sorts client-side, swimlane/gantt reuse the same comparator.
Date-only strings compare lexically; missing values sort last.
- Board grouping: IssueGrouping gains property:<id> for select
definitions — one column per option (definition order) plus a
trailing No-value column, option-colored headings. Drag-drop moves
position via UpdateIssue and applies the value through
useSetIssueProperty/useUnsetIssueProperty (properties are not part
of UpdateIssueRequest). Stale persisted property groupings fall back
to status columns.
View-store: propertyFilters + cardPropertyIds persisted via the
partialize allowlist; clearFilters resets property filters; new fields
deep-merge cleanly into pre-existing persisted snapshots.

- sort: direction now applies to value comparison only; issues without a
value sort last in BOTH directions (the whole-array reverse flipped them
to the front on desc). Test covers the desc+missing case.
- board: values referencing an option removed from the definition bucket
into the No-value column instead of vanishing (unmatched column ids
dropped the issue entirely). Defense-in-depth behind the new server-side
in-use guard; drag-utils test locks both behaviors.
- controller: persisted propertyFilters keyed by archived/deleted
definitions are stripped before reaching the filter predicates, and a
persisted property sort on a non-active definition degrades to manual
order — previously both kept silently applying while the header claimed
otherwise. The filter badge counts only active-definition filters.

Property filter/sort now execute in the database, so results are correct
across the full issue set — not just the loaded 50-per-status window
(closes MUL-4493 item 1's filter/sort half; requested on MUL-4463).
- New `properties` query param on ListIssues and ListGroupedIssues:
JSON {definitionId: [values]} compiled to an AND-of-ORs containment
check (double NOT EXISTS over jsonb_array_elements). One value expands
to every storage shape it could match — string (select), array element
(multi_select), boolean (checkbox) — so the handler stays type-agnostic.
Guarded at 20 definitions / 50 values.
- `sort=property:<definitionId>` resolves the definition and orders by a
typed expression (numeric CASE cast for number, NULLIF text for
date/text/url); missing values sort last in both directions. Malformed
ids 400; unknown/archived definitions degrade to position order instead
of breaking stale clients.
- Frontend: the property filter and property sort ride the IssueSortParam
window bag, so every surface (workspace + my-issues variants), query
key, and per-status load-more page carries them automatically. The
client-side re-sort layer is gone; applyIssueFilters keeps its property
predicate as an optimistic-update backstop.
- Regression test seeds 55 issues and proves a match at position 55 is
returned by a filtered 50-row page, plus sort order/missing-last,
AND-across-definitions, and the 400/fallback sort paths.

keep the cheap in-place patch. Fixes stale ordering/membership/counts
under staleTime:Infinity.
- My Issues "All" scope: merged assigned/created/involves results are
re-sorted with a comparator mirroring the server ORDER BY semantics
(including property sorts and missing-last, created_at DESC tiebreak) in
both the flat and assignee-grouped merge paths — relation concatenation
no longer overrides the user's sort.
- Filter predicate rebuilt as plain bind-parameter containment ORs
(AND across definitions): EXPLAIN now shows BitmapOr over
idx_issue_properties_gin (the correlated jsonb_array_elements form
defeated the index). Alternatives capped at 256 bind params.
- Property-grouped board gains a pool loader strip: one sentinel per
status that still has server rows, keeping every issue reachable until
per-column pagination lands (MUL-4493).
- Windowing regression test hardened: explicit positions + an assertion
that the unfiltered first page excludes the target (the old fixture tied
at position 0 and the created_at DESC tiebreak put the target on page
one, proving nothing).
- Rollback safety: /api/properties 404 (old server) degrades to an empty
catalog instead of a query error, which also keeps property params from
ever being sent to pre-property servers; migration 179's CHECK
constraints switch to NOT VALID + VALIDATE so the exclusive lock is
instantaneous.

fix(server): don't cancel active tasks when issue status → cancelled (#5328)
Moving an issue to `cancelled` used to auto-cancel every in-flight agent task on that issue. Users have no expectation that clicking "cancel" stops running agent runs, so this implicit coupling is removed from UpdateIssue and BatchUpdateIssues. Deleting an issue still cancels its tasks (the owning row disappears); a plain status change never does. Reassignment already didn't cancel tasks (#4963 / MUL-4113), so this makes status-cancel consistent. - Status-table-driven regression tests cover every active state the cancel query sweeps (queued / dispatched / running / waiting_local_directory / deferred) on both the single and batch paths. - Updated the multica-working-on-issues skill (SKILL.md + source map) and corrected stale comments in task.go and agent.sql that described the removed coupling as current. Batch sub-issue status changes triggered two wrong behaviours from one user action: - Frontend popped the pre-trigger "现在开始处理?" confirm modal for every non-backlog target, but done/cancelled can never start a run, so it degenerated into a misleading "won't start → OK" step. handleBatchStatus now applies directly (product decision: batch status, including backlog → active promotion, applies like a single-issue/CLI change). Assign agent/squad and delete still confirm. The now-unreachable status mode is removed from RunConfirmModal and its locale keys. - Backend evaluated the stage barrier per-child inside the batch loop, using a mid-batch sibling snapshot. A batch closing several stages at once emitted one comment per intermediate stage, pinned the parent assignee's wake to a stale "advance Stage N+1" instruction (the accurate wake was swallowed by the pending-task dedup), and the outcome depended on issue_ids order. BatchUpdateIssues now collects terminal transitions and evaluates each parent once against the batch's final state (notifyParentsOfBatchChildDone): at most one accurate comment + one wake per parent, order-independent. Single-issue UpdateIssue is unchanged; WillEnqueueRun is untouched. Tests: cross-stage batch done/cancelled (forward + reverse) and lower-stage-only on the backend; status-direct / assign-confirm / delete-confirm routing on the frontend. In a multi-agent workspace this silently dropped unrelated in-flight work (a mention-triggered run for another agent, a squad task) with no requeue, and it self-cancelled a run that reassigned the issue from inside its own turn (the daemon then interrupted the live run before its post-handoff cleanup could finish). Reassignment now cancels nothing: ownership handoff no longer implies interruption. The new assignee's run, if any, is still enqueued by WillEnqueueRun and runs alongside whatever was already in flight. Explicit terminal actions — issue -> cancelled and delete issue — still cancel active tasks, unchanged. Applies to both UpdateIssue and BatchUpdateIssues. Adds handler tests that fail against the old behavior (both the previous assignee's own run and an unrelated agent's run got cancelled) and pass now. * fix(search): add pg_trgm index fallback + statement_timeout guard (MUL-4059) Root cause of the "search freezes with no response" symptom reported in MUL-4059: the search handler runs LOWER(col) LIKE '%pattern%' queries that expect a pg_bigm GIN index (migrations 032, 033, 036), but every migration wraps the CREATE EXTENSION + CREATE INDEX in a DO/EXCEPTION handler that silently skips when pg_bigm is unavailable. The bundled self-host / dev / CI Postgres image (pgvector/pgvector:pg17) does not ship pg_bigm, so on every self-hosted deployment the migrations no-op and no GIN indexes get built. Every /api/issues/search + /api/projects/search request then falls back to a Seq Scan on `issue` + correlated Seq Scans on `comment` — verified with EXPLAIN on the local dev DB, which has zero title/description/comment search indexes before this change. Two independent guardrails are added, either of which alone would have prevented the reported hang: 1) Migration 134 installs pg_trgm (ships in all standard Postgres + pgvector images) and builds GIN indexes with gin_trgm_ops on `LOWER(title)`, `LOWER(COALESCE(description, ''))`, and `LOWER(content)`. The expression signatures match the search handler's WHERE clauses exactly, so the planner picks the index without further changes. The pg_bigm indexes from 036 are left intact — deployments on AWS RDS with pg_bigm 1.2 keep the CJK-friendly bigram path; deployments without it get the trigram fallback. Verified against a local 25k-row fixture: the description LIKE hits `Bitmap Index Scan on idx_issue_description_trgm` in 0.5 ms. 2) runSearchQuery wraps both search handlers in a short-lived read-only transaction with SET LOCAL statement_timeout = 3 s. In the pathological case where indexes are still missing or the query plan is bad, callers see a fast 503 with a descriptive error instead of a stalled request. Verified against a live Postgres: a deliberate pg_sleep(2) with the test override at 200 ms is cut off in 230 ms with SQLSTATE 57014, as asserted by TestRunSearchQuery_StatementTimeoutFires. Non-goals: this change does not remove the pg_bigm code path, does not change the SQL the handler builds, and does not change the API response shape. It is the minimum diff to unblock production while preserving the CJK-search advantage that pg_bigm provides where it is available. Without a workspace_id filter in the subquery, that hashed set covers every comment in every workspace matching the LIKE — 536k rows for "search" — which spills work_mem into a lossy bitmap and rechecks 1.9M rows. Two-part fix: 1. Query rewrite. buildSearchQuery now emits `c.workspace_id = $wsParam` inside every comment subquery (WHERE phrase match, WHERE multi-term match, tier 7 rank, tier 8 rank, and the matched_comment_content COALESCE). The same $4 parameter is reused so Postgres treats it as a compile-time constant and pushes it into the hashed subplan's key, collapsing the set to this workspace's comments. 2. Supporting index (migration 135). New `idx_comment_workspace ON comment (workspace_id)`. Without it, the pushed-down filter still triggers a Seq Scan on `comment` because comment has no btree on workspace_id (only the FK constraint and composite (issue_id, ...) indexes). Locally verified against a repro that mirrors prd (5k issues in the target workspace, 100k comments in a sibling workspace all containing "search"): the plan drops from 60 ms (hashed global scan, no support index) to 3 ms (subplan uses idx_comment_workspace). Prd extrapolation from the same shape: 32.3 s → tens of milliseconds. Regression test TestBuildSearchQuery_CommentSubqueryWorkspaceScope asserts every `FROM comment c` in the generated SQL is followed by a `c.workspace_id = $4` filter, so a future refactor can't silently regress the plan back to the global-hash pathology. The statement_timeout guard from the earlier commit in this branch is kept — it still bounds the worst case if any future query shape regresses. SearchProjects reads `LOWER(project.title)` and `LOWER(COALESCE(project.description, ''))`, and the pg_bigm equivalents in migration 039 silently no-op on pg_bigm-less images just like 032/033/036. Without the trigram fallback, project searches on self-host would still Seq Scan and hit the 3 s statement_timeout guard as a 503 — technically bounded but not actually fixed. Added `idx_project_title_trgm` and `idx_project_description_trgm`; the down migration drops them too. Also: fixed the search.go comment that said callers get a "standard 500" — they get a 503 with SQLSTATE-57014 mapping; the comment now matches reality. Verified: build clean, vet clean, existing search / timeout tests still green. Migration 135 dry-run (dropping the index, re-applying the unwrapped SQL under `ON_ERROR_STOP=1`) creates the index cleanly; a deliberate `CREATE INDEX` on a non-existent column now aborts psql with exit 3, confirming the migration runner would fail loudly on any real error. Agents default to private visibility, so a default squad leader is private; when a child is closed by an agent/system actor (the normal process-squad pipeline) there is no resolvable human originator, the gate fails closed, and the leader is never woken -- stranding every multi-stage squad pipeline after its first stage. Assigning the parent directly to the leader agent worked only because that path is ungated. Remove the child-done leader-invocation gate so agent and squad child-done follow one path. The parent was already permission-checked at squad-assign time (validateAssigneePair); waking its own leader to advance the next stage is a coordination handoff, not a fresh invocation, and grants no new privilege -- the actor can only wake the leader on the specific parent that leader already owns. If invocation permission is ever reintroduced it must be added to both paths together. Also drops the now-dead actor plumbing threaded solely for the gate, flips the plain-member child-done test to assert the leader is woken, adds an agent-actor regression, and updates the squad / mentioning skill docs. - callback: verify connected_account_id with Composio before mirroring it.
The signed state only proved user/toolkit/exp, so a valid state paired with
a tampered connected_account_id would be written verbatim. CompleteCallback
now calls ListConnectedAccounts and fails closed (ErrAccountVerification)
unless the account belongs to the state's user (composio_user_id == multica
user id) and was created under the toolkit's auth config. No row is written
on mismatch / unknown account / upstream error.
- disconnect: short-circuit to a no-op when the local row is already revoked,
before touching upstream. Previously a second DELETE re-hit Composio and a
non-404 upstream error surfaced as a 502, breaking the 204-idempotent
contract.
- CreateMCPSession: document the v1 single-active-connection-per-(user,toolkit)
constraint and make duplicate selection deterministic (newest-wins, rows are
connected_at DESC) instead of order-dependent map overwrite. Stage 3 owns the
real single-account-enforcement vs multi-account-shape decision.
Tests: tampered/wrong-auth-config/unknown-account callback rejection, revoked-row
disconnect no-op (asserts upstream not re-hit). composio pkg 85% coverage; all
green.

Yushen's follow-up to the Notion MVP: surface the full Composio toolkit
catalog, render it in Settings, and drop the static env mapping in favor of
dynamic auth-config discovery.
Config correctness (per Composio docs):
- Remove COMPOSIO_AUTH_CONFIGS_JSON entirely. The toolkit→auth_config mapping
is now resolved at request time from the project's /auth_configs (cached,
5-min TTL), so enabling a toolkit is a dashboard action, not a redeploy.
- Do NOT add COMPOSIO_PROJECT_ID. The project API key (x-api-key) authenticates
to exactly one project; the project is resolved from the key. Only org-level
endpoints use x-org-api-key, which this integration never calls.
Backend:
- SDK: server/pkg/composio/auth_configs.go — ListAuthConfigs (toolkit_slug,
is_composio_managed, show_disabled, limit, cursor).
- service: dynamic resolver (authConfigMap cache; betterAuthConfig prefers a
custom/white-label config over Composio-managed, newest wins); BeginConnect
and CompleteCallback resolve via it; ListToolkits fetches the full catalog
(paginated, capped) annotated with connectable = has an enabled auth config,
connectable-first ordering.

* fix(composio): close cross-toolkit callback fail-open by signing auth_config_id into state (MUL-3720)
Re-review blocker: CompleteCallback resolved the toolkit's auth config at
callback time and ignored a resolve error/empty result, while
verifyAccountOwnership skipped the auth-config comparison when the expected
value was empty. A user could then pass another toolkit's connected_account_id
into this toolkit's callback — the owner check passed and it was written under
the wrong toolkit_slug/account binding.
Fix: the auth_config_id is already resolved in BeginConnect (before the state
is signed), so sign it into the state and compare it exactly at callback. No
re-resolve, no fail-open. verifyAccountOwnership now fails closed when the
expected auth config is empty (rejects instead of skipping) and requires an
exact match — closing the cross-toolkit binding gap.
Tests: state round-trips auth_config_id; BeginConnect signs it; callback
rejects wrong/cross-toolkit auth config and an empty (no-mapping) auth config
fails closed. composio pkg 85.2% coverage, all green.
Frontend (non-blocking): the Composio settings tab now surfaces an error when
the connections query fails instead of silently rendering everything as
unconnected.

Decision (option 2, hide-then-merge): don't show a card that leaks the internal
COMPOSIO_API_KEY env-var name to every end user. IntegrationsTab now gates the
whole Composio section (heading + body) on the toolkits query — a 503 means the
key is unset, so the section is withheld instead of rendering the not-configured
card. Admin-only setup guidance is a later, role-gated affordance.
Removed the notConfigured card (and now-unused ApiError import) from
ComposioTab; it only mounts when configured. views typecheck + lint clean.

Composio 302-redirects the browser to /api/integrations/composio/callback
at the end of the OAuth flow, but PR #4608 mounted it inside the cookie-auth
middleware group. When the session cookie is absent (expired session,
SameSite=Strict / Safari ITP, private window, self-hosted callback subdomain)
the Auth middleware returned a hard 401 and a JSON blob instead of the
settings redirect, breaking the flow.
Identity never came from the cookie anyway: it is carried by the HMAC-signed
state param that CompleteCallback verifies (signature, expiry, replay) and
cross-checked by verifyAccountOwnership; h.Composio == nil still 503s. So the
callback is registered alongside the other public OAuth/webhook routes; the
other four composio endpoints stay session-gated.

* feat(composio): inject MCP overlay into agent runtime at task dispatch (MUL-3721) (#4704)
Stage 3 of the Composio epic. Wires the per-user Composio MCP session into
every agent task so the agent process sees the initiator's connected tools
without any prompt-time plumbing.
Server side
- Migration 128 adds agent_task_queue.runtime_mcp_overlay JSONB plus a
BEFORE-UPDATE trigger that wipes the column on any transition into a
terminal status (completed / failed / cancelled). A trigger is the single
source of truth — future queries that flip status cannot bypass it.
- composio.Service.BuildTaskOverlay(userID) reuses CreateMCPSession and
emits the Claude-style { mcpServers: { composio: { type: http, url,
headers } } } shape the daemon's existing sidecar generators consume.
Returns (nil, nil) on zero active connections so we never burn a
Composio session for a user with nothing to call.
- TaskService grows a Composio ComposioOverlayBuilder seam, wired in
router.go after composiointeg.NewService succeeds. Five enqueue paths
(issue / mention / quick-create / chat / auto-retry) attach the overlay
after CreateAgentTask returns and before the daemon is notified — so
every claim reads a settled row, with no second daemon hop. Best-effort:
a builder failure logs and proceeds with no overlay.
- resolveInitiatorFromTriggerComment derives the initiator user from the
trigger comment when it was authored by a member. Agent-authored
triggers are not treated as initiators (their connected-apps view is
empty by construction).
Daemon side
- handler/daemon.go claim path merges task.runtime_mcp_overlay onto
agent.mcp_config via mergeMCPOverlay before populating
TaskAgentData.McpConfig. Overlay wins on server-name collisions
because it carries the live user-scoped session URL. Errors fall back
to the agent config unchanged — a bad overlay must not surprise-disable
saved MCP tools. The existing execenv sidecar generators (cursor /
codex / openclaw / opencode / hermes-kiro) need no changes: they keep
consuming the merged result through TaskAgentData.McpConfig.
Tests
- 9 merge cases (mcp_overlay_test): both-nil short-circuit, agent-only
pass-through, overlay-only canonicalization, two-side merge, name
collision (overlay wins), top-level key preservation, malformed agent
fallback, malformed overlay fallback, non-object server rejection.
- 4 dispatch cases (composio): zero-connections returns nil without
CreateSession, happy-path emits the right shape with the right user
id, empty-URL defensive branch, SDK error surfacing.
- 4 TaskService helper cases: nil Composio is a no-op (Queries-safe),
invalid initiator does not call the builder, nil overlay skips the
UPDATE, builder error swallowed without panic.
- Migration 128 verified to roll up + down + up cleanly against the test
database.
Out of scope (deferred): assignment-triggered enqueue paths with no
trigger comment get no overlay attached today (no initiator UUID flows
through enqueueIssueTask in that case). Retry paths recompute the overlay
fresh from the parent's initiator_user_id instead of inheriting the bearer
from the parent row, so a stale token can never resurface on a retry.

Stage 3.1 of the Composio epic (MUL-3721 parent). PR #4704 wired in the
runtime_mcp_overlay column and a per-task dispatch hook; this change
inverts the default from "all-on" to opt-in and locks the overlay to the
agent owner's own connected apps:
- Agents carry composio_toolkit_allowlist TEXT[]. NULL or [] => no MCP.
Owner-only read/write; non-owner GET/PUT silently redacts/drops the
field (same shape as mcp_config).
- agent_task_queue carries originator_user_id UUID. Set from the
top-of-chain HUMAN at every enqueue path:
* issue/mention comment by member -> author_id
* issue/mention comment by agent -> inherit via comment.source_task_id
-> parent task originator_user_id
* quick-create -> requester_id
* chat -> initiator_user_id
* retry -> SQL-inherited from parent row
* autopilot -> NULL (system-driven)
- BuildTaskOverlay (composio dispatch) now takes (ctx, originatorUserID,
agent) and short-circuits on five gates: invalid originator,
originator != agent.owner_id, empty allowlist, empty intersection of
allowlist ∩ active connections, defensive empty session URL. Composio
CreateSession is called with BOTH `toolkits.slugs` (the intersection)
AND `connected_accounts` (the pinned account ids), narrowing the
tool-router twice.
- The originator-vs-owner gate closes the agent-fanout privacy hole: any
workspace member who can @-mention a public agent used to project the
owner's connected apps into their run. Now the overlay only mounts
when the human at the top of the chain IS the agent owner.
Tests:
- dispatch_test.go covers all 5 gates plus uppercase/whitespace slug
normalisation.
- task_runtime_mcp_overlay_test.go covers the no-op gates of the new
applyRuntimeMCPOverlay signature.
- agent_composio_allowlist_test.go (handler): owner roundtrip
(list/empty/null), workspace-admin silent-drop, owner-only GET
visibility, pure normaliseComposioToolkitAllowlist.
- resolve_originator_test.go (service, DB-backed): member-authored,
agent-authored inherits via comment.source_task_id, invalid id.
Migration 129 up/down/up verified against docker postgres.

fix(issues): emit project_changed so moved issues leave the old project list (MUL-3669) (#4571)
The per-project issue list rides the filtered myAll cache. Changing an issue's project is a membership change, but the surgical patch (patchIssueInBuckets) is filter-blind and never removes a card that no longer matches the list's project filter — so a moved issue stayed visible in the old project's list until a manual refetch (#4548 / MUL-3669). Root cause: project_id was the only membership-affecting field with no server *_changed flag. The WS handler fell back to diffing project_id against its own cache, which breaks once onMutate has optimistically overwritten the cached value on a local move. - server: stamp project_changed on issue:updated (UpdateIssue + Batch), alongside status_changed / assignee_changed. - events.ts: surface project_changed (optional, additive — old clients ignore). - ws-updaters: prefer the server flag, fall back to the cache diff only when absent (older backend) so a new frontend on an old backend does not regress. - mutations: onSettled invalidates myAll when project_id changed — a local safety net that never depends on the WS echo (update + batch). Tests: WS flag wins over a matching cache (local-move repro), explicit false suppresses the legacy diff, the cache-diff fallback still fires, and both mutations invalidate myAll on a project change. Funnel: signup, workspace_created, team_invite_sent/accepted, onboarding_*, cloud_waitlist_joined. Content: issue_created, chat_message_sent, agent_created, squad_created, autopilot_created, issue_executed. Runtime: runtime_registered/ready/failed/offline + ready_seconds histogram, daemon_ws_message_received_total. Autopilot: autopilot_run_started/terminal/skipped. Webhook/GitHub: webhook_delivery_total, github_event_received_total, github_pr_review_total, github_pr_merge_seconds histogram. ListIssues parsed the limit and offset query params but never validated
them, so:
- GET /api/issues?limit=-1 -> HTTP 500 (Postgres rejects negative
LIMIT with SQLSTATE 2201W)
- GET /api/issues?limit=100000000 -> unbounded read in a single
response
- GET /api/issues?offset=-1 -> same 500
SearchIssues and ListGroupedIssues already apply v > 0 + an upper clamp
on limit and v >= 0 on offset. This brings ListIssues to the same
pattern: ignore non-positive limit (keep default 100), clamp to 100,
ignore negative offset (keep default 0). default == clamp == 100 keeps
existing callers' behavior identical and matches the upstream issue
suggestion.
TestListIssues_LimitValidation seeds 3 issues in a dedicated project
and pins the nine boundary cases (negative/zero/huge/non-numeric
limit, negative/non-numeric offset, the clamp boundary, and explicit
small/positive-offset sanity) plus two sanity checks that an explicit
small limit and a positive offset are honored.

1. The 3-row set in TestListIssues_LimitValidation can't distinguish
'clamp fired' from 'clamp missing': with only 3 rows, limit=100000000
returns 3 rows whether or not the clamp exists. Split the clamp
behavior into a new TestListIssues_LimitClamp that seeds 101 issues
and asserts len(issues) == 100 for limit=100/101/200/100000000, plus
limit=50 honored below the clamp. Without the clamp line, the
huge/above-clamp subtests would fail with len == 101.
2. Fix the misleading comment that claimed 'limit=0 -> same 500'.
Postgres LIMIT 0 is valid SQL and returns zero rows. The guard
exists for sibling-consistency (SearchIssues / ListGroupedIssues
already treat v <= 0 as 'use default'), not to avoid a 500. Move
the limit=0 case out of TestListIssues_LimitValidation since it's
not 500-related; TestListIssues_LimitClamp's 'no limit returns
default page of 100' subtest pins the default behavior anyway.
3. Add a subtest that pins the offset+clamp composition
(limit=200&offset=50 against 101 rows = 51 rows), proving the
clamp caps the page size while offset still indexes the full
result set.
4. Fix gofmt: the original file's leading-bullet comment indentation
was off by two spaces; gofmt -l now reports clean.
All 14 subtests across both functions pass; full ./internal/handler/
suite still passes (3.2s).

The sub-issue intent was lost and the new issue landed as a standalone. This fix threads parent_issue_id through the whole pipeline silently — no new editable form field, the existing carry channel handles it: - Frontend: ManualCreatePanel.switchToAgent + AgentCreatePanel.switchToManual now carry parent_issue_id (and identifier, for display) so the sub-issue intent survives mode flips in either direction. When a child issue transitions from a non-done status into `done` and has
an open parent, the server now posts a top-level platform-generated
comment on the parent itself. Replaces the agent-prompt rule shipped in
PR #2918, which produced self-mention loops, planner ping-pong, and
accidental `MUL-` prefix hardcoding because the agent did not always know
the workspace prefix.
- Migration 107 widens `comment.author_type` to allow `system`; the
zero UUID is used as the sentinel `author_id` (the column stays NOT
NULL, callers branch on `author_type === 'system'`).
- `Handler.notifyParentOfChildDone` fires from both `UpdateIssue` and
`BatchUpdateIssues`. Guards: prev status != done, new status == done,
parent set, parent not in `done`/`cancelled`. Bypasses the
CreateComment HTTP path so the assignee on_comment trigger and the
mention-trigger paths do not fire — the comment content carries only
the safe issue mention for the child, no `mention://agent/...` /
`mention://member/...` / `mention://squad/...` links.
- `runtime_config.go` downgrades the Parent/Sub-issue Protocol rule 1
to an explicit "do NOT post one yourself" guardrail; rule 2 (sub-issue
creation `--status todo` vs `backlog`) is unchanged.
- New handler test exercises the happy path, idempotency, reopen+done,
parent done/cancelled guards, and the no-parent case. Runtime-config
tests reassert the new wording and the banned strings from the prior
revision.

Addresses the two must-fix items from the PR #3055 second review:
1. The platform-generated `comment:created` event (author_type='system')
was running through the generic comment listeners, which (a) tried to
subscribe the zero-UUID author and (b) parsed @mentions from the body
for inbox notifications. Both subscriber_listeners and
notification_listeners now early-return on author_type='system' so the
event becomes a pure WS broadcast for the timeline — no inbox rows,
no transcluded-mention attack surface.
2. advanceIssueToDone (the GitHub merge auto-done path) only published
issue:updated and skipped notifyParentOfChildDone, so a child closed
via merged PR — the dominant completion path — left the parent
silent. The helper is now invoked on the same prev/updated pair, with
the existing guards (transition + parent state) protecting double-fire.
Tests:
- New cmd/server/notification_listeners_test:
TestNotification_SystemCommentSkipsInboxAndMentions (parent subscribers
and smuggled @mention targets stay quiet),
TestSubscriberSystemCommentDoesNotSubscribe (zero-UUID never reaches
AddIssueSubscriber).
- New internal/handler/github_test:
TestWebhook_MergedPR_ChildWithParent_NotifiesParent fires a real
pull_request closed-merged webhook against a child and asserts the
parent receives exactly one safe system comment with the workspace's
real identifier (no `mention://agent|member|squad` links).

Per Bohan's product call on PR #3055: the platform now owns the
child-done parent notification, so the runtime brief should not mention
the parent-comment path at all — not as an instruction, not as a "do
not do it" guardrail. The previous revision kept rule 1 of the Parent /
Sub-issue Protocol as a "Do NOT post your own parent-notification
comment." sentence; that still puts the concept in front of the agent
every run, which is exactly what we are trying to avoid.
What changes:
- Delete the "Parent / Sub-issue Protocol" preamble and rule 1 from
buildMetaSkillContent. The remaining content — the `--status todo`
vs `--status backlog` rule for creating sub-issues — now lives in a
dedicated `## Sub-issue Creation` section, since the parent/child
framing it previously sat under is gone.

Handler loaders (loadIssueForUser / loadSkillForUser / etc.) already enforce workspace membership today, so this is not patching a known live vuln. But the tenant invariant is currently a handler-layer guarantee — a future loader bypass or a new caller skipping the loader would be silently catastrophic. Making workspace_id part of the SQL identity collapses the trust surface to the schema itself: forging a sibling-workspace UUID becomes ErrNoRows instead of a cross-tenant write. Reference: incident #1661 (util.ParseUUID silent zero UUID returning 204 on a DELETE that matched zero rows) — same class of failure, prevented at a different layer. main is now at 104_drop_runtime_timezone; the migrator picks
LatestVersion() by sorted filename, so a slot before the tail would
let DBs that have already run 099–104 think they're up-to-date while
the issue.metadata column is missing — runtime would then fail with
column does not exist. Renumbering to 105 puts the migration at the
tail and forces it to run.
Also drop attempts as a positive example across docs/code comments and
test fixtures — the runtime instruction prompt already lists it under
"What NOT to pin" (runtime bookkeeping). Replace with pr_number, which
is in the recommended-keys set, so docs/tests speak the same language
as the prompt.

Re-introduces the `involves_user_id` filter on the issues list / open-list / count / grouped paths, but with the semantics nailed down for the second time around: tab 3 surfaces issues whose assignee is an *indirect* extension of the user (owned agent, or a squad they're a human member of / lead via owned agent / have an owned agent inside) — and explicitly NOT direct member assignment, which is tab 1's meaning. - server/pkg/db/queries/issue.sql: 4-branch filter on ListIssues / ListOpenIssues / CountIssues. Each subquery clamps workspace_id because issue.assignee_id is polymorphic with no FK. Leader resolution reads squad.leader_id directly, not the squad_member copy row (squad.go ignores errors when seeding that copy, so it can be missing). FindActiveDuplicateIssue switched from positional $2/$3/$4 to named sqlc.arg() — pure hygiene so the generated struct field names don't drift when new nargs are added. - server/internal/handler/issue.go: parse involves_user_id and plumb it into the three sqlc params; ListGroupedIssues (hand-written dynamic SQL) gets a mirrored 4-branch fragment, no shortcut. - packages/core: ListIssuesParams / ListGroupedIssuesParams / MyIssuesFilter / api.listIssues / api.listGroupedIssues all carry the new param through. - packages/views/my-issues: tab 3 switches from client-side agent-fanout to involves_user_id=user.id. agentListOptions import and the myAgentIds memo go away. - server/internal/handler/issue_involves_test.go: 13 integration tests cover every branch (positive + cross-workspace negatives) plus the critical ExcludesDirectMemberAssignee negative on BOTH the sqlc and the grouped paths, locking tab 3 ∩ tab 1 = ∅. This added a UNION-based involves_user_id filter that the backend expands to "me + agents I own + squads I relate to" in a single query. - SQL: ListIssues / ListOpenIssues / CountIssues accept narg involves_user_id and OR a workspace-scoped 3-branch UNION on the squad assignee subquery. Leader is sourced from canonical squad.leader_id (not the best-effort squad_member copy row whose AddSquadMember error is dropped in squad.go:177-188 and :259-263). - Handler: parses involves_user_id via parseUUIDOrBadRequest, plumbs into all three list params, and mirrors the same UNION fragment into the grouped dynamic SQL path. - Frontend: ListIssuesParams / ListGroupedIssuesParams / MyIssuesFilter gain involves_user_id; api client forwards it to the querystring. - My Issues page: "agents" scope now passes involves_user_id instead of fanning out owned-agent IDs client-side. Rewrite the three existing negative cases to seed the issue in testWorkspaceID with a polymorphic assignee_id pointing at a foreign-workspace agent or squad (issue.assignee_id has no FK per migrations/001_init.up.sql:61). Now each UNION branch must enforce its own workspace scoping for the issue to stay out of the result. Also add ExcludesOtherWorkspaceSquadAgentMember: the squad_member.agent UNION branch had only positive coverage; this test pins that s.workspace_id = $1 and a.workspace_id = $1 must both hold there too. feat(issues): close composer attachment preview loop end-to-end (#2594)
Text/code attachments (markdown, JSON, .ts, .log, …) need an attachment id
to render through `/api/attachments/{id}/content`. The composer pipeline
was dropping that id at the upload-hook boundary, so the Eye preview gate
only fired for media (PDF / video / audio via filename fallback).
- `useFileUpload` now returns the full `Attachment` (with `link` kept as a
`url` alias) so editor providers can resolve content-type and id.
- New-comment and reply composers hold a `pendingAttachments` state and
feed it to `ContentEditor`; the active subset (those still referenced in
the markdown) is sent on submit as before.
- Comment edit modes (CommentRow + CommentCardImpl) merge pending uploads
with `entry.attachments` for the editor and pipe `attachment_ids` into
`onEdit` so newly uploaded files actually bind to the comment.
- Issue description editor pushes pending `attachment_ids` on every
debounced save and invalidates `issueKeys.attachments` so the preview
Eye survives a refresh.
- `UpdateComment` and `UpdateIssue` handlers accept `attachment_ids` and
call the existing `linkAttachmentsByIDs` / `linkAttachmentsByIssueIDs`
helpers; the bind is idempotent so re-sending an existing id is safe.
Closes MUL-2153.

append a system-level briefing to the agent's Instructions composed of:
1. Squad Operating Protocol — hard-coded rules: leader is a
coordinator, dispatch via @mention, stop after dispatching,
resume on re-trigger, do not work outside the roster.
2. Squad Roster — leader self-row plus one row per non-archived
member with a literal mention markdown string ([@Name](mention://
agent|member/<UUID>)) the leader can paste verbatim. Round-trips
through util.ParseMentions, enforced by a contract test.
3. Squad Instructions — the user-defined squad.instructions block,
omitted entirely when empty so we do not leave a dangling heading.
Non-leader members claiming the same issue receive no briefing.
Tests cover: full squad with mixed agent/human members, lone leader,
archived agents skipped, empty user instructions, mention round-trip,
and the leader/non-leader claim-handler gate.
