e83babe3b8 wallet: Replace use of purpose strings with an enum
Instead of storing and passing around fixed strings for the purpose of
an address, use an enum.

This also rationalizes the CAddressBookData struct, documenting all fields and
making them public, and simplifying the representation to avoid bugs like
https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/26761#discussion_r1134615114 and make
it not possible to invalid address data like change addresses with labels.

refactor: Move fs.* to util/fs.*
The fs.* files are already part of the libbitcoin_util library. With the
introduction of the fs_helpers.* it makes sense to move fs.* into the
util/ directory as well.

Pull request description:

While running my coin selection simulations, I noticed that towards the end of the simulation, the wallet would become slow to make new transactions. The wallet generally performs much more slowly when there are a large number of transactions and/or a large number of keys. The improvements here are focused on wallets with a large number of transactions as that is what the simulations produce.

Most of the slowdown I observed was due to `DescriptorScriptPubKeyMan::GetSigningProvider` re-deriving keys every time it is called. To avoid this, it will now cache the `SigningProvider` produced so that repeatedly fetching the `SigningProvider` for the same script will not result in the same key being derived over and over. This has a side effect of making the function non-const, which makes a lot of other functions non-const as well. This helps with wallets with lots of address reuse (as my coin selection simulations are), but not if addresses are not reused as keys will end up needing to be derived the first time `GetSigningProvider` is called for a script.

The `GetSigningProvider` problem was also exacerbated by unnecessarily fetching a `SigningProvider` for the same script multiple times. A `SigningProvider` is retrieved to be used inside of `IsSolvable`. A few lines later, we use `GetTxSpendSize` which fetches a `SigningProvider` and then calls `CalculateMaximumSignedInputSize`. We can avoid a second call to `GetSigningProvider` by using `CalculateMaximumSignedInputSize` directly with the `SigningProvider` already retrieved for `IsSolvable`.

There is an additional slowdown where `ProduceSignature` with a dummy signer is called twice for each output. The first time is `IsSolvable` checks that `ProduceSignature` succeeds, thereby informing whether we have solving data. The second is `CalculateMaximumSignedInputSize` which returns -1 if `ProduceSignature` fails, and returns the input size otherwise. We can reduce this to one call of `ProduceSignature` by using `CalculateMaximumSignedInputSize`'s result to set `solvable`.

Lastly, a lot of time is spent looking in `mapWallet` and `mapTxSpends` to determine whether an output is already spent. The performance of these lookups is slightly improved by changing those maps to use `std::unordered_map` and `std::unordered_multimap` respectively.

272356024d Change getWalletTxs to return a set instead of a vector
For some reason, the primary consumer of getWalletTxs requires the
transactions to be in hash order when it is processing them. std::map
will iterate in hash order so the transactions end up in that order when
placed into the vector. To ensure this order when mapWallet is no longer
ordered, the vector is replaced with a set which will maintain the hash
order.

a23cca56c0 refactor: Replace BResult with util::Result
Rename `BResult` class to `util::Result` and update the class interface to be
more compatible with `std::optional` and with a full-featured result class
implemented in https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/25665. Motivation for
this change is to update existing `BResult` usages now so they don't have to
change later when more features are added in #25665.

This change makes the following improvements originally implemented in #25665:

- More explicit API. Drops potentially misleading `BResult` constructor that
treats any bilingual string argument as an error. Adds `util::Error`
constructor so it is never ambiguous when a result is being assigned an error
  or non-error value.

- Better type compatibility. Supports `util::Result<bilingual_str>` return
values to hold translated messages which are not errors.

- More standard and consistent API. `util::Result` supports most of the same
operators and methods as `std::optional`. `BResult` had a less familiar
interface with `HasRes`/`GetObj`/`ReleaseObj` methods. The Result/Res/Obj
naming was also not internally consistent.

- Better code organization. Puts `src/util/` code in the `util::` namespace so
naming reflects code organization and it is obvious where the class is coming
from. Drops "B" from name because it is undocumented what it stands for
  (bilingual?)

- Has unit tests.

90fc8b089d591cabff60ee829a33f96c37fd27ba Add src/node/* code to node:: namespace (Russell Yanofsky)

Pull request description:

There are no code changes, this is just adding `namespace` and `using` declarations and `node::` or `wallet::` qualifiers in some places.

  Motivations for this change are:

  - To make it easier to see when node and wallet code is being accessed places where it shouldn't be. For example if GUI code is accessing node and wallet internals or if wallet and node code are referencing each other.
  - To make source code organization clearer ([#15732](https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/issues/15732)), being able to know that `wallet::` code is in `src/wallet/`, `node::` code is in `src/node/`, `init::` code is in `src/init/`, `util::` code is in `src/util/`, etc.

Reviewing with `git log -p -n1 -U0 --word-diff-regex=.` can be helpful to verify this is only updating declarations, not changing code.

f47e802839 Rearrange fillPSBT arguments
Move fillPSBT input-output argument before output-only arguments. This is a
temporary workaround which can go away with improvements to libmultiprocess

take order from output list, so input-only parameters still have to be first
but there is more flexibility for the other parameters.

Pull request description:

Big picture overview in [this gist](https://gist.github.com/Sjors/29d06728c685e6182828c1ce9b74483d).

This PR adds GUI support for external signers, based on the since merged bitcoin/bitcoin#16546 (RPC).

The UX isn't amazing - especially the blocking calls - but it works.

First we adds a GUI setting for the signer script (e.g. path to HWI):

  <img width="625" alt="Schermafbeelding 2019-08-05 om 19 32 59" src="https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/10217/62483415-e1ff1680-b7b7-11e9-97ca-8d2ce54ca1cb.png">

Then we add an external signer checkbox to the wallet creation dialog:

  <img width="374" alt="Schermafbeelding 2019-11-07 om 19 17 23" src="https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/10217/68416387-b57ee000-0194-11ea-9730-127d60273008.png">

It's checked by default if HWI detects a device. It also grabs the name. It then creates a fresh wallet and imports the keys.

You can verify an address on the device (blocking...):
  <img width="673" alt="Schermafbeelding 2019-08-05 om 19 29 22" src="https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/10217/62483560-43bf8080-b7b8-11e9-9902-8a036116dc4b.png">

Sending, including coin selection, Just Works(tm) as long the device is present.

~External signer support is enabled by default when the GUI is configured and Boost::Process is present.~

External signer support remains disabled by default, see https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/21935.

62252c95e5 interfaces: Stop exposing wallet destdata to gui
Stop giving GUI access to destdata rows in database. Replace with narrow
API just for saving and reading receive request information.

This simplifies code and should prevent the GUI from interfering with
other destdata like address-used status.

Note: No user-visible behavior is changing in this commit. New
CWallet::SetAddressReceiveRequest() implementation avoids a bug in
CWallet::AddDestData() where a modification would leave the previous
value in memory while writing the new value to disk. But it doesn't
matter because the GUI doesn't currently expose the ability to modify
receive requests, only to add and erase them.

Pull request description:

Main commit `gui: Avoid wallet tryGetBalances calls` is one-line change to `WalletModel::pollBalanceChanged` that returns early if there hasn't been a new `TransactionChanged` or `BlockTip` notification since the previous poll call. This is the same behavior that was implemented in #18160, now implemented in a simpler way.

The other commits are a straight revert of #18160, and two tweaks to avoid relying on `WalletModel::m_client_model` lifetime which were causing travis failures with earlier versions of this PR.

Motivation for this change is to be able to revert #18160 and cut down on unnecessary cross-process calls that happen when #18160 is combined with #10102

This PR is part of the [process separation project](https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/projects/10).

6a72f26968 [wallet] Remove locked_chain from CWallet, its RPCs and tests
This change is intended to make the bitcoin node and its rpc, network
and gui interfaces more responsive while the wallet is in use. Currently
because the node's cs_main mutex is always locked before the wallet's
cs_wallet mutex (to prevent deadlocks), cs_main currently stays locked
while the wallet does relatively slow things like creating and listing
transactions.

This commit only remmove chain lock tacking in wallet code, and invert
lock order from cs_main, cs_wallet to cs_wallet, cs_main.
must happen at once to avoid any deadlock. Previous commit were only
removing Chain::Lock methods to Chain interface and enforcing they
take cs_main.

Remove LockChain method from CWallet and Chain::Lock interface.

Pull request description:

This PR is part of the [process separation project](https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/projects/10).

These changes are needed to set mock times, and get wallet interface pointers correctly when
wallet code is running in a different process from node code in #10102

Merge #18160: gui: Avoid Wallet::GetBalance in WalletModel::pollBalanceChanged
0933a37078e1ce3a3d70983c3e7f4b3ac6c3fa37 gui: Avoid Wallet::GetBalance in WalletModel::pollBalanceChanged (João Barbosa)

Pull request description:

Each 250ms the slot `WalletModel::pollBalanceChanged` is called which, at worst case, calls `Wallet::GetBalance`. This is a waste of resources since most of the time there aren't new transactions or new blocks. Fix this by early checking if cache is dirty or not.

The actual balance computation can still hang the GUI thread but that is tracked in #16874 and should be fixed with a solution similar to #17135.

Code review ACK 0933a37078e1ce3a3d70983c3e7f4b3ac6c3fa37, but I would prefer (not strongly) for #17905 to be merged first. This PR can be simpler if it is based on #17905, so tryGetBalances can just be left alone instead of changing into to a more complicated tryGetBalancesIfNeeded function, and then getting changed back later when we want to optimize it out.
  jonatack:
ACK 0933a37078e based primarily on code review, despite a lot of manual testing with a large 177MB wallet.
