9fe5896a44 tor: torcontrol disconnect on too many lines to avoid OOM
This commit ensures the `TorControlConnection::m_message` buffer doesn't
grow unbounded and exhaust memory, by limiting the number of lines
handled by `TorControlConnection::ProcessBuffer()` to `MAX_LINE_COUNT =
1000`. Now the most memory that can be occupied by `m_message` is on the
order of `MAX_LINE_LENGTH * MAX_LINE_COUNT= 100MB`

Although this is not compliant with the tor control protocol in general,
where commands like `GETINFO ns/all` will likely return thousands of
lines, it is more than sufficient for handling the replies from the
commands that are used by a node:

`AUTHENTICATE`: 1 line:
    The server responds with 250 OK on success or 515 Bad
    authentication if the authentication cookie is incorrect. Tor closes
    the connection on an authentication failure.

https://spec.torproject.org/control-spec/commands.html#authenticate

`GETINFO net/listener/socks`: 2 lines
    A quoted, space-separated list of the locations where Tor is
    listening...

https://spec.torproject.org/control-spec/commands.html#getinfo

`AUTHCHALLENGE SAFECOOKIE`: 1 line
    If the server accepts the command, the server reply format is:

    ```
    "250 AUTHCHALLENGE" SP "SERVERHASH=" ServerHash SP "SERVERNONCE="
    ServerNonce CRLF
    ```

https://spec.torproject.org/control-spec/commands.html#authenticate

`PROTOCOLINFO`: 4-5 lines

    The server reply format is:

    ```
    250-PROTOCOLINFO" SP PIVERSION CRLF \*InfoLine "250 OK" CRLF
    InfoLine = AuthLine / VersionLine / OtherLine
    ```

(https://spec.torproject.org/control-spec/commands.html#protocolinfo)

`ADD_ONION`: 2-3 lines for Bitcoin Core's tor control client.

    The server reply format is:

    ```
    "250-ServiceID=" ServiceID CRLF
    ["250-PrivateKey=" KeyType ":" KeyBlob CRLF]
    *("250-ClientAuth=" ClientName ":" ClientBlob CRLF)
    "250 OK" CRLF
    ```

    ...

    The server response will only include a private key if the server
was requested to generate a new keypair

    ...

    If client authorization is enabled using the “BasicAuth” flag (which
    is v2 only), the service will not be accessible to clients without
    valid authorization data (configured with the “HidServAuth” option).
    The list of authorized clients is specified with one or more
    “ClientAuth” parameters. If “ClientBlob” is not specified for a
    client, a new credential will be randomly generated and returned."

https://spec.torproject.org/control-spec/commands.html#add_onion

We don't set the `BasicAuth` flag, so the response will not include any
`ClientAuthLines`.

4c6798a3d3 tor: enable PoW defenses for automatically created hidden services
Enable PoW defenses [1] for hidden services that we create via
Tor Control using the `ADD_ONION` command [2].

The ability to do that has been added in tor-0.4.9.2-alpha [3]. Previous
versions return a syntax error to the `ADD_ONION` command with
`PoWDefensesEnabled=1`, so the approach here is to try with PoW and if
we get syntax error, then retry without PoW.

fa5f297748 scripted-diff: [doc] Unify stale copyright headers (MarcoFalke)

Pull request description:

  Historically, the upper year range in file headers was bumped manually
  or with a script.

  This has many issues:

  * The script is causing churn. See for example commit 306ccd4, or
    drive-by first-time contributions bumping them one-by-one. (A few from
    this year: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/32008,
    https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/31642,
    https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/32963, ...)
  * Some, or likely most, upper year values were wrong. Reasons for
    incorrect dates could be code moves, cherry-picks, or simply bugs in
    the script.
  * The upper range is not needed for anything.
  * Anyone who wants to find the initial file creation date, or file
    history, can use `git log` or `git blame` to get more accurate
    results.
  * Many places are already using the `-present` suffix, with the meaning
    that the upper range is omitted.

  To fix all issues, this bumps the upper range of the copyright headers
  to `-present`.

  Further notes:

  * Obviously, the yearly 4-line bump commit for the build system (c.f.
    b537a2c02a) is fine and will remain.
  * For new code, the date range can be fully omitted, as it is done
    already by some developers. Obviously, developers are free to pick
    whatever style they want. One can list the commits for each style.
  * For example, to list all commits that use `-present`:
    `git log --format='%an (%ae) [%h: %s]' -S 'present The Bitcoin'`.
  * Alternatively, to list all commits that use no range at all:
    `git log --format='%an (%ae) [%h: %s]' -S '(c) The Bitcoin'`.

  <!--
  * The lower range can be wrong as well, so it could be omitted as well,
    but this is left for a follow-up. A previous attempt was in
    https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/26817.

Pull request description:

  ### Summary
  Instead of counting occurrences in sets and maps, the C++20 `::contains` method expresses the intent unambiguously and can return early on first encounter.

  ### Context
  Applied clang‑tidy's [readability‑container‑contains](https://clang.llvm.org/extra/clang-tidy/checks/readability/container-contains.html) check, though many cases required manual changes since tidy couldn't fix them automatically.

  ### Changes

  | `m.count(k) > 0`       | `m.contains(k)`  |
  | `m.count(k) != 0`      | `m.contains(k)`  |

  > Note that `== 1`/`!= 1`/`< 1` only apply to simple [maps](https://en.cppreference.com/w/cpp/container/map/contains)/[sets](https://en.cppreference.com/w/cpp/container/set/contains) and had to be changed manually.

  There are many other cases that could have been changed, but we've reverted most of those to reduce conflict with other open PRs.

ca5781e23a config: allow setting -proxy per network
`-proxy=addr:port` specifies the proxy for all networks (except I2P).
Previously only the Tor proxy could have been specified separately via
`-onion=addr:port`.

Make it possible to specify separately the proxy for IPv4, IPv6, Tor and
CJDNS by e.g. `-proxy=addr:port=ipv6`. Or remove the proxy for a given
network, e.g. `-proxy=0=cjdns`.

ecd590d4c1 Normalize inconsistent -noonlynet behavior
Treat specifying -noonlynet the same as not specifying -onlynet, instead of
marking all networks unreachable.

Before this change, specifying -noonlynet cleared list of reachable networks
and did not allow connecting to any network. It was basically an undocumented
synonym for -noconnect.

After this change, specifying -nononlynet just clears previously specifed
-onlynet options and allows connecting to all networks, restoring default
behavior as if no -onlynet options were specified.

Before this change, there was no way to restore default behavior once an
-onlynet option was specified. So for example, if a config file specifed
onlynet settings, they couldn't be reset on the command line without disabling
the entire config file.

The previous -noonlynet behavior wasn't neccessarily bad, but it was
undocumented, redundant with the -noconnect option, inconsistent with behavior
of other list options, and inconsistent with being able to use the command line
to selectively override config options. It was also probably unintended,
arising from use of the IsArgSet() method and its interaction with negated
options.

Pull request description:

  This resolves #31133 (setups with multiple local nodes each using a different `-port` no longer working with v28.0, see the issue description for more details) by deriving the default onion listening port to be the value specified by `-port` incremented by 1 (idea by vasild / laanwj).
  Note that with this fix, the chosen `-port` values of two local nodes cannot be adjacent, otherwise there will be port collisions again.

  From the discussion in the linked issue, this was the most popular option, followed by doing nothing and telling affected users to change their setups to use `-bind` instead of `-port`. But more opinions are certainly welcome!

  I think that if we decide to do something about the problem described in the issue, we should do so soon (in 28.1.), so I opened this PR.

0e2b12b92a net, init: derive default onion port if a user specified a -port
After port collisions are no longer tolerated but lead to
a startup failure in v28.0, local setups of multiple nodes,
each with a different -port value would not be possible anymore
due to collision of the onion default port - even if the nodes

Fix this by deriving the onion listening port to be -port + 1.

4f74c59334 util: Move util/string.h functions to util namespace
There are no changes to behavior. Changes in this commit are all additions, and
are easiest to review using "git diff -U0 --word-diff-regex=." options.

Motivation for this change is to keep util functions with really generic names
like "Split" and "Join" out of the global namespace so it is easier to see
where these functions are defined, and so they don't interfere with function
overloading, especially since the util library is a dependency of the kernel
library and intended to be used with external code.

c5c76dc615 logging: refactor: pull prefix code out (Anthony Towns)

Pull request description:

  Replace `LogPrint*` functions with severity based logging functions:

   * `LogInfo(...)`, `LogWarning(...)`, `LogError(...)` for unconditional (uncategorised) logging (replaces `LogPrintf`)
   * `LogDebug(CATEGORY, ...)` and `LogTrace(CATEGORY, ...)` for conditional logging (replaces `LogPrint`)
   * `LogPrintLevel(CATEGORY, LEVEL, ...)` for when the level isn't known in advance, or a category needs to be added for an info/warning/error log message (mostly unchanged, but rarely needed)

  Logs look roughly as they do now with `LogInfo` not having an `[info]` prefix, and `LogDebug` having a `[cat]` prefix, rather than a `[cat:debug]` prefix. This removes `BCLog::Level::None` entirely -- for `LogFlags::NONE` just use `Level::Info`, for any actual category, use `Level::Debug`.

  Adds docs to developer-notes about when to use which level.

  Adds `-loglevelalways=1` option so that you get `[net:debug]`, `[all:info]`, `[all:warning]` etc, which might be helpful for automated parsing, or just if you like everything to be consistent. Defaults to off to reduce noise in the default config, and to avoid unnecessary changes on upgrades.

  Changes the behaviour of `LogPrintLevel(CATEGORY, BCLog::Level::Info, ...)` to be logged unconditionally, rather than only being an additional optional logging level in addition to trace and debug. Does not change the behaviour of `LogPrintLevel(NONE, Debug, ...)` and `LogPrintLevel(NONE, Trace, ...)` being no-ops.

6e308651c4 net: move IsReachable() code to netbase and encapsulate it
`vfLimited`, `IsReachable()`, `SetReachable()` need not be in the `net`
module. Move them to `netbase` because they will be needed in
`LookupSubNet()` to possibly flip the result to CJDNS (if that network
is reachable).

In the process, encapsulate them in a class.

`NET_UNROUTABLE` and `NET_INTERNAL` are no longer ignored when adding
or removing reachable networks. This was unnecessary.

9a84200cfc doc, refactor: Changing -torcontrol help to specify that a default port is used
Right now when we get the help for -torcontrol it says that there is a
default ip and port we dont specify if there is a specified ip that we
would also use port 9051 as default

32e2ffc393 Remove the syscall sandbox
After initially being merged in #20487, it's no-longer clear that an
internal syscall sandboxing mechanism is something that Bitcoin Core
should have/maintain, especially when compared to better
maintained/supported alterantives, i.e firejail.

Note that given where it's used, the sandbox also gets dragged into the
kernel.

There is some related discussion in #24771.

This should not require any sort of deprecation, as this was only ever
an opt-in, experimental feature.

Closes #24771.

be55f545d5 move-only: Extract common/args and common/config.cpp from util/system
This is an extraction of ArgsManager related functions from util/system
into their own common file.

Config file related functions are moved to common/config.cpp.

The background of this commit is an ongoing effort to decouple the
libbitcoinkernel library from the ArgsManager. The ArgsManager belongs
into the common library, since the kernel library should not depend on
it. See doc/design/libraries.md for more information on this rationale.

043b9de59a scripted-diff: rename ToStringIP[Port]() to ToStringAddr[Port]() (Vasil Dimov)

Pull request description:

  Before this PR we had the somewhat confusing combination of methods:

  `CNetAddr::ToStringIP()`
  `CNetAddr::ToString()` (duplicate of the above)
  `CService::ToStringIPPort()`
  `CService::ToString()` (duplicate of the above, overrides a non-virtual method from `CNetAddr`)
  `CService::ToStringPort()`

  Avoid [overriding non-virtual methods](https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/25349/#issuecomment-1185226396).

  "IP" stands for "Internet Protocol" and while sometimes "IP addresses" are called just "IPs", it is incorrect to call Tor or I2P addresses "IPs". Thus use "Addr" instead of "IP".

  Change the above to:

  `CNetAddr::ToStringAddr()`
  `CService::ToStringAddrPort()`

  The changes touch a lot of files, but are mostly mechanical.

96c791dd20 net: remove CService::ToString() use ToStringAddrPort() instead
Both methods do the same thing, so simplify to having just one.

`ToString()` is too generic in this case and it is unclear what it does,
given that there are similar methods:
`ToStringAddr()` (inherited from `CNetAddr`),
`ToStringPort()` and
`ToStringAddrPort()`.

043b9de59a scripted-diff: rename ToStringIP[Port]() to ToStringAddr[Port]()
"IP" stands for "Internet Protocol".

"IP address" is sometimes shortened to just "IP" or "address".

However, Tor or I2P addresses are not "IP addresses", nor "IPs".

Thus, use "Addr" instead of "IP" for addresses that could be IP, Tor or
I2P addresses:

`CService::ToStringIPPort()` -> `CService::ToStringAddrPort()`
`CNetAddr::ToStringIP()` -> `CNetAddr::ToStringAddr()`
